- In this video from 2013, Chad goes over his process for prepping/making watch part pens. A process that is largely unchanged after all these years.
This was a cool video for us to see again as it is in our garage, where it all started! Thanks for watching!!
If you want to make your own watch part pens we do have a starter set as well as dapping blocks etc:

Brilliant vid Chad. Really like the look of the black carbon background (rather than paint). 👍
Thanks! It was fun to pull this one from the archives lol
Awesome! This is a great follow up to the video of Carrie's watch/steampunk pen on your FB page. Thank you for re-sharing this!
Thanks so much!! It was fun to pull it from the archives :-)
Cool, I have a watch parts kit that I have not used yet. I'll come back and watch this before I proceed with that kit.
They are the most stunning when you get them finished for sure!
I would be concerned with old watch faces. From what I have read some may have radium used to make them viewable in the dark. I don’t know when they started or stopped using it. Do your own research to determine the risks if any. I guess it is just one of the hassles of using vintage stuff. Otherwise I think the blanks are awesome. I’d like to try this.
Good point!
Do you let the CA (on the carbon fiber) cure on its own or do you use activator to help it along?
let it cure, never accelerator on watch parts
