What are your least favorite fragrances in your collection? Do you plan to sell/swap them or are you keeping them for other reasons? I decided after filming this that I am going to pass along Chinatown as well, but still hanging on to Womanity and Olympea for a bit longer.
This is such an interesting idea! I have way too many fragrances to really think which are my least favorite, but now I want to sit down and go through them and think about it!
Very fun and worthy listening to your opinions because of your honesty. I tend to come across very similar opinions among many youtubers. Yours are different and I appreciate that. Subscribed.
I always enjoy these types of videos as I appreciate the honesty and our tastes do change over time. I think the fragrance that I don’t enjoy wearing as much anymore is Gucci guilty absolute pour homme and pure Tonka from Mugler they’re both a bit cloying 🙈. I should probably sell them or give them away but I’m terrible at letting go! Great video! ⭐️
Dang, I was holding out on Olympea and just bit the bullet on it and I really think your taste in perfume is amazing. Oh well at least it’s not your number one! 😁 Funny I think of the 60’s with Chinatown. I was holding my breath with the Nirvana praying it wasn’t Bourbon, which I love too! Btw, it seems like you are already a pro at this, I just found you and I’m really enjoying your videos! Your collection is amazing and seems finely curated! I can see your number of subscribers growing very quickly!! ❤️😊
LOL! Most people really like Olympea, so hopefully you will, too. I don't think I've come across anyone who hates it, but there are some others who have a similar opinion as me. You'll have to let me know when you get it! Oh yes, Nirvana Bourbon is so good! Thank you so much for your kind words! :)
I've noticed that you have such an eclectic collection. I remember trying Chinatown, it was interesting. I do have something I would not wear, Olympic Orchid Sakura comes to mind - smells like a cherry blossom tree (the whole tree), I don't hate it but i don't love it. I don't care for Marc Jacobs daisy dream daze - thankfully, my daughter does. Great video.
Thank you so much! I have only found one perfume from the Daisy line that I like (the sweet one). I haven't tried the Olympic one you mentioned, though.
Great video 🙂 I don't like the patchouli that Chanel use in some of their fragrances, it's that type of patchouli I don't enjoy in Coco Mademoiselle but I do love the hippy natural smelling patchouli. I do love Chinatown though! I have heard a lot of people say it smells heavily of tuberose but my bottle doesn't at all. My one is a very creamy, woody vanilla and spice scent more than anything else. I wonder if they have reformulated it!
Thank you, Ami! I love your channel! Yeah, my bottle isn't super old, so that could be. I do get the spices, though. I also think I just don't like the patchouli used in Chanel fragrances because I have other perfumes, like Portrait of a Lady, that have patchouli and I still enjoy those.
Hi Tara! My least favourite perfume in my collection is "Pomegranate Noir" by Jo Malone (it's a mini and came in a set). I don't like incense that's why. For now I will keep it in my collection and try it again in fall/winter. Another one is "Be delicious", I used to love this scent but all I can smell now is a synthetic note (hence why I'm panning it).
I haven't smelled these pomegranate noir one, but incense can be tricky for me as well. My sister has worn the Golden Delicious flanker for years, but I'm not a fan of the original either.
You have a dream collection❣️ I really like salty like TF Oud minerale, I'll definitely give that Mugler a try😃 My collection is small so I like everything a lot except MFK Grand soir, I may give it to my mom when she visits and keep a small decant. The amber vanilla is too sharp in the opening to finish the bottle this century😪
I love Olympea and Nirvana Black! It’s so funny how our tastes are different. My least favorite is Calvin Klein Downtown. It smells like headache inducing bubblegum.
LOL! I know! I even know someone who has pretty similar taste to me who loves both of those. I haven't tried that CK, but I think the only CK I have liked thus far is CK One.
They went in, and then out 👌👌👋👋🤟 Angel Muse (Tooo heavy on the patouli/ combinded with chokolate) 🍫 ADDICT ( i wanted to love it, but never reached for it. To dark!! )🕸🕸🕸🕷 Jasmins marzipane 💮( pretty, but not my vibe. To Much Jasmin i guess😅) Holiday 🌴( the aquatic vibe killed it for me:-/ ) Amouage Blossom Love 🌸 ( Tooo cloying cherryblosson/ sweet) Ellie Saab🥀: Le parfume ( Tooo granny "White flowers/ sharp)
great video! There is a perfume I actually hate, I tried to love it even tried wearing it in different seasons and such but nope I can't I hate it, that perfume is Gucci Bamboo(sorry if you guys love it don't wanna offend anyone) but to me smells like wet wipes
I find it refreshing to listen to someone talk about fragrances they don’t love in an educated and intelligent way. I also have a difficult time with some notes, e.g. tobacco because I used to smoke. When everyone talked about Tobacco Vanille I also had to try it ... and felt sick for an entire day. Patchouli is also a note that can be tricky. I thought about whether I have a fragrance that I don’t like as a full bottle. Wait! I’ve got a bottle of Wild Fig & Cassis by Jo Malone that I blindbought as a partial bottle and I am not sure whether it hasn’t gone bad or whether I don’t like the fig in this one. And I have got some fragrances by Byredo that I don’t seem to wear. I just fell for their aesthetics and their minimalist bottle designs, really liked the fragrances when I tested them, but never reach for them. I guess it’s time to say goodbye to them. 😊 Great video!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words. I could definitely see why tobacco would be a difficult note for you. Fig is tricky for me. I have a few with fig that I enjoy, but there are also a lot I don't like. I don't remember ever smelling that Jo Malone one, though. The JM Velvet Rose and Oud smells really nice to me, but makes me feel nauseated/ gives me a headache after an hour or so. Thanks again!!!
Hi Olivia! Yes, I agree about Nirvana Black. I'm glad you like the Coco Mademoiselle Intense. I am just not a fan of the patchouli in it, but if you like patchouli it is a very well done fragrance!
I remember back in the day there was this Elisabeth Arden Elizabeth Taylor perfume called diamonds or something that gave me the worst headache of life 🤕
Bond no 9 Chinatown has incense and plum... it has been compared to Guerlain Mitsouko (vintage formula) so that could be why you get a vintage vibe off it. And both Coco Mademoiselles give me headaches. The original and intense really trigger migraines for me.
I blind bought Nirvana White and Black and I enjoy the White more than the Black. I've tried layering them together and its nothing ground breaking. I'm trying to sell my Nirvana Black now. Lol 🤷🏽♀️
Great video, Tara!💚💜💙 I love Coco Mademoiselle but I haven't actually smelled the intense version - now I'm curious, lol 😊 I was also not very moved by Olympea (exactly like you said - it's not bad, just not that interesting to me)
Thanks! I can't remember the last time I smelled the original. I think you like patchouli more than I do, though, so you'd probably like the intense as well.
I agree that this is a fab video idea! I don't have many fragrances, and little that isn't very mainstream, but the pandemic has induced some blind buying through boredom. I have only bought things through eBay secondhand and some of those have been recycled to eBay, although thankfully with profit. The one that didn't work out for me was Paul Smith Woman. It pulled so masculine and the notes, which had initially attracted me just didn't meld together well for me. It was sharp and just not special enough for me to want to wear it. I also got Vera Wang Princess as part of a job lot (I wasn't buying for that one). I am sorry to say that I just don't like it, but I do know that any people love it. Perhaps I got a bad bottle? I also bought Womanity as I heard so many people saying that it's controversial and edgy and difficult to love and the notes sounded weird. I got it and I was so surprised that so many people hate it and that it is controversial, because to me, it's just a nice salty fig scent. I really don't think I'd want the strawberry note in the mix too though so hands up in defeat for the version that you have.
LOL! Thanks! You know, I don't really like Vera Wang Princess anymore, either. I was literally just trying it out again, and it's not for me. I remember I liked it when my husband bought it for me, but didn't love it. Now it just seems pretty bland.
For sure, Tea Rose(perfumers workshop) & Magnetism(escada.) Tea Rose turned me off of rose fragrances and magnetism was just super mediocre to me. I always wanted to try olympia.
Believe it or not I went ahead and blind bought WOMANITY LOL it was $20 so I couldn’t resist !! Abi wants to smell it so I will probably decant some and send it to her
My least favorite in my collection, by a landslide, is Tiffany by Tiffany & Co. It's just too powdery and "grandma-ish" for me. Like you, I'm on the fence with No 9's Chinatown. I have Womanity hidden in my closet, I'll have to break it out and give it a sniff but I'm sure there's a reason it's in my closet, hahaha. I love the whole Nirvana collection and I don't feel the Nirvana Black is masculine but I do like unisex fragrances more than traditional girlie scents. Good video,
Thanks, Celeste! Yes, I know you love that line! I still haven't smelled the white or French grey. I like the rose one but think I might sell it as well because I have so many rose fragrances now.
Nirvana Black is one of my least favorite perfume either. I have a decant if it and I am glad I didn't buy a full bottle. The tobacco smell to me feels a bit cheap. I don't know the original Olympea but I have tried the Olympea Aqua EDP. It's not bad I think. Thanks for this video. I enjoyed watching it.
I think my mom had that a long time ago, but I don't really remember what it smelled like. I've been trying to get better about sampling before buying as I've had some regrets as well. Thanks for watching!
My husband didn't care for it either, Michele. I feel like some days it is better than others, but yeah, just kind of meh to me. LOL! Thanks for watching!
There are a few that I don’t really like.. but my worst blind buy.. Aromatic Elixir.. 😬 and I’m not a fan of coco mademoiselle either.. I have a bottle that was gifted to me in 2006.. lol.. keeping it for nostalgic purposes only..
I haven't smelled Aromatic Elixir, but sounds like I'm not missing out. LOL! The Coco Mademoiselle bottle is really pretty, which makes it harder for me to part with it, but I just don't like it.
I joined your channel very recently. I found your collection very unique and different. Also, I have a question. Do you still have coco mademoiselle intense? If so for how much do you want to sell it. Thanks in advance.
I’m with you on Chanel- there is only one scent that really speaks to me from this house, and I know that’s an extremely unpopular opinion.🤷🏼♀️You have me intrigued with Womanity- I LOVE salty scents, so maybe I’ll love it?
Thanks, Amanda! I also have a hard time with all Chanel fragrances. I heard that Womanity is being discontinued. I got my bottle for around $35 I think, but I'd guess once it's gone from the Mugler website that they'll increase in price as people who love it really love it!
I love nirvana black especially mixed with nirvana white. But Burbon is my favourite. Hands down. But grey and amethyst are my least. Nirvana rose is also not a favourite.
Thanks, Sarah! I've never tried the White or French Grey, so I'd be interested in sampling those sometime. I adore Amethyst, though. I love sweet tobacco fragrances in general, though.
You'd probably really like the Mademoiselle Intense in that case. It's a nice fragrance and most people who like patchouli really seem to love that one.
The least favorite fragrance I have is Honey I Washed the Kids from Lush. It smells like such a nice toffee smell on my skin but it smells horrible on my clothes. And it smells really bad when you first spray it. It only smells good on my skin after about half an hour and it smells so light that I can only smell it when I sniff my arms. But man does it smell bad on my clothes. My fiancée can’t stand it.
Oh no! I like the soap of that but have never smelled the perfume. I have found that several of their perfumes smell better after sitting on skin for an hour or two. I wonder why this is. Thanks, Cassidy!
Have you tried Noir Patchouli from Histoires de Parfums? Now that's a patchouli!!! 🤯🤯🤯 I really don't enjoy that one. And I enjoy most everything from the house. But not that 😂😂
@@Olfactofiles nothing hangs around quite like the smell of that one. It's a very earthy patchouli. Like digging deep into some very dark soil. It's different for sure 🤯
@@Olfactofiles I picked up the complete discovery set and they have so many great ones. I have bought five bottles from the house so far.... Yeah I said it... So far.... 🤣
Hdp Noir patchouli is AWFUL! please dont test it Tara. 🤣 Saleswoman made me try.(I didnt want it) I find it similar to some Arabic Perfumes. :(( too heavy.
Patchouli was definitely one of those notes that took me a WHILE to love. And I mean A WHILE. Something like 3 years? I know the term "patch ho" is being thrown around nowadays, but I don't think I'd consider myself........well.....yeah ok I'm a patch ho. 🤣
I don’t think I like salty fragrances ? But I’m not sure 🤔 I do love the smell of the ocean? I love the plastic doll head smell and I want a fragrance that holds that smell for me ,I can bury my nose in one of Nora’s dolls and keep it there LOL I remember when I got a new Barbie doll she would smell incredible. We can get an idea of smells in our head of what a time period smelt like ,so I understand . What a shocker to me that you don’t love coco Mademoiselle!! But it’s funny how many people just don’t love it !! I can’t believe how much SOPHIA smells like it ,I will use the heck out of that one. My least favourite right now is MK SEXY AMBER 😝 Great video Love and hugs Frances 🥰🥰🥰
You might like Olympea if you like the doll head smell. I don't think the salt is very prominent in that one. Yeah, Coco Mademoiselle is not my favorite, but I struggle with patchouli.
Olfactofiles Fragrance Reviews ohh really ,I would never have thought of that one because of the salt !! Good to know ,I will try to get a decant of that one !! Thank you
La EST Belle gives me a massive headache, My Burberry makes me nauseous, and Gucci Bamboo smells horrible, Angel by Muglar smells great in cold weather and I now live in Florida so it’s a no for me...
I don't really care for any of those fragrances, either. I don't think La Vie Est Belle gave me a headache when I tried it, but I didn't like it. The new Gucci Memorie smells horrible on me as well. I like some of the Angel flankers, but not the original.
Womanity is definitely one of my most disliked fragrances ever. I blind bought it years ago because the notes sounded intriguing but boy... I think it was the first fragrance to actively trigger my gag reflex. Another one I’ve never owned but HATED on everyone I’ve ever smelled it on is Sunflowers. On a more general level, anything with a prominent iris note will make me flinch, also.
LOL! Yeah, Womanity is pretty divisive. I can't remember how Sunflowers smelled. I do like iris, though. White florals like jasmine can be difficult for me, though. Thanks, Angie!
PACO RABANNE Olympea and its flankers smells puke. I hate womanity too. I love Bond no 9 chinatown(grape soda+cinnamon pudding) but sillage isnt good due to price. Org Coco Mademoiselle is citric patchouli. (hate too).
Thanks! Yeah, the Bond fragrances are quite pricey. Good to know that the original Coco Mademoiselle is also patchouli heavy. I was wondering if I should have got that one instead, but it sounds like I wouldn't like it either.
In terms of what I don't like... I sold my Layton, I just didn't get it.. the appeal.. not for me 🤷 Same with Cedrat Boise. I just don't enjoy it. And Bentley for Men Intense I absolutely hate. But one of my brothers loved it. His wife didn't.... 😂😂
Too bad for your brother's wife! LOL! Yeah, Cedrat Boise gets a lot of hype but I didn't really care for it, either. Haven't smelled the others, though. Thanks, Wayne!
I just can't stand my China town, B no.9; I don't like Tobacco Vanille, TF either; Noix de Tuberose, Miller Harris and Good Girl, CHerrera don't like anymore but I love my Chanel Mademoiselle Intense. 😁🇩🇪🇲🇽🌷
I love the look on your face when you smelled Womanity 😂 I'm sure I looked the same when I first tried Bulls Blood. I gagged at the opening. I couldn't wait for the dry down, I had to wash it off. It was bloody awful 😂😂😂
LOL! Yeah, I've kept it around because it's quite unique, but I think I'm going to let go of it soon. I have so many other fragrances that I don't have to suffer to get through the opening! 🤣
I bought a sample of Chinatown and just could not get into it, I tried it a few times and it never grew on me 🤷🏻♀️. I got a Coco Mademoiselle sample from Sephora and it not only gave me a headache, to me it smells like every Macy’s cosmetic department I’ve ever walked by. It isn’t a bad scent, it just doesn’t do anything for me. It’s a bummer, because I know it’s very popular.
Yeah, those are not for me. I do agree that Coco Mademoiselle reminds me of a department store fragrance section. Probably just because so many people wear it. Thanks, Lenny!
I must say I do like a lot of Tom Ford fragrances (though many are overpriced) but in general I do no care for Chanel fragrances. Thanks so much, Tera!
Womanity was my worst blind buy ever!! I actually threw it away in the garbage after trying to like it for a long time, didn't even try to sell it . It smelled to me like a beach town fish market dumpster, on a very hot Summer day . To the garbage it went!!
Lol! Thar description cracked me up! It's so fascinating to me that some people love it while others despise it. I definitely think it's a hard one to love.
I literally laughed out loud at the comments about Olympea. Like everything said is 100% false. I've never heard of anyone not loving this scent. The salt is powerhouse. There's nothing synthetic. It's Top 10 of all time for millions of women. However, you're correct. We are all different. So are our noses. I'm am truly stunned though. I've never ever ever heard anyone say any of these things about Olympea. No I'm curious to watch more of your videos.
LOL, thanks! Yeah, I'm not a fan. I have only met a few other people who didn't like it and got a similar vibe as I do. Most people really love it. Thanks, Tera!
Chanel. I've 3 bottles in my possession from chanel. Tried plenty more but can't se me add more from that house. In my opinion the exclusive line is way overrated.
That's good to know. I haven't tried anything from the exclusive line. I just don't care for the Chanel DNA. Even the more "easy wearing" scents they have don't appeal to me.
What are your least favorite fragrances in your collection? Do you plan to sell/swap them or are you keeping them for other reasons? I decided after filming this that I am going to pass along Chinatown as well, but still hanging on to Womanity and Olympea for a bit longer.
Where will you be selling? Asking for a friend 😉
Hi Angie! I usually sell in Facebook fragrance groups. I always list in Fragrance Marketplace. Are you a member of that group?
Olfactofiles Fragrance Reviews no, I need to try and find it! Thanks, Tara!
@@a_bookish_gemini Yes! I really enjoy some of the Facebook groups!
Not Olympea 😭 lol I can see how it’s not for everyone though I’m surprised by how much I love it
LOL, yeah, sorry. :) It's just not for me. I know most people like it, though.
Yeah, it's not bad, but I have so many other vanilla fragrances that I like more.
Olympia Legend and Hugo Boss Private Accord. They both have that sticky sweet vibe.
Thanks, Sammie! I haven't tried either but sounds like I wouldn't like them (especially since I don't care for Olympea).
This is such an interesting idea! I have way too many fragrances to really think which are my least favorite, but now I want to sit down and go through them and think about it!
Thanks so much! It is definitely helpful I think. I often do this when I when I'm decluttering as well.
I love your honesty!

Same. I have several perfumes with patchouli in them that I really like, but it's not a main player.
Nirvana black , to me seem very unisex it’s nice but not my favorite! I just got my self a bottle of coco mademoiselle intence lol I love it
Hi Olivia! Yes, I agree about Nirvana Black. I'm glad you like the Coco Mademoiselle Intense. I am just not a fan of the patchouli in it, but if you like patchouli it is a very well done fragrance!

White diamonds? I remember my dad bought that for my mom back in the early 90s.

Believe it or not, regular Womanity is even saltier than Pour Elles. Such an interesting line. Great video.
Wow! That would be intense! Thanks so much!
I can't stand Nirvana Black or Coco Mademoiselle, so this makes me feel so validated, he he.
Lol! Yeah, those are not my faves.
Believe it or not I went ahead and blind bought WOMANITY LOL it was $20 so I couldn’t resist !! Abi wants to smell it so I will probably decant some and send it to her

Great video! I also find it hard to love patchouli.
Thanks, Lauren! Yeah, I have a few that I like it in, but usually I don't.
The only one I knew on here was Olympea. It smells good on my friend
Olympea is crazy popular, so that doesn't surprise me. Just not for me. :)
Thank you so much! I haven't tried the Olympea flankers. I wonder if I'd like them more.
Loved this video!
Thank you!
I regret blind buying Cashmere Mist EDP. I will probably sell it in the future.
I think my mom had that a long time ago, but I don't really remember what it smelled like. I've been trying to get better about sampling before buying as I've had some regrets as well. Thanks for watching!
I bought Olympea, I tried a sample and loved it! But I really haven't worn it much. My boyfriend didn't like it at all lol
I ❤ Nirvana Bourbon too....its beautiful
Yes, it's a great fragrance, especially at that price point!
@@Olfactofiles yes.
The only way I was able to wear Nirvana Black was with Nirvana White.
I've never tried the white one, but I think mixing Nirvana black would definitely help!
I joined your channel very recently. I found your collection very unique and different. Also, I have a question. Do you still have coco mademoiselle intense? If so for how much do you want to sell it. Thanks in advance.
Thank you Maryam! I already sold that one a while back, but I appreciate you checking!
Thank you very much for your answer.
Which ones are the strong salt fragrances in your collection? Just curious. love your Channel😊
Besides the two I talked about here I have Wood Sage & Sea Salt that I love, as well as Salt Caramel, Salty Flower, and Changing Constance.
Olfactofiles Fragrance Reviews thanks for the heads up on Womanity- I’ll have to see if I can’t find a bottle before they all disappear!
I find myself struggling with olympea .. It gives me abit of headache.. Let know if u develop a liking for it
I will. I don't get a headache from it, but it's just kind of bland to me.
I LOOOOVE patchouli 😍😍😍
But not that 😂😂
No, but I don't think I'll be seeking it out given your glowing review of it! LOL!
@@Olfactofiles nothing hangs around quite like the smell of that one. It's a very earthy patchouli. Like digging deep into some very dark soil. It's different for sure 🤯
@@waynemorris4346 Yeah, I don't think I need that hanging around a long time. LOL! Might be interesting to sample, though.
LOL! Yeah, I like it in a few fragrances, but it has yet to really grow on me.
My least favourite right now is MK SEXY AMBER 😝
Great video
Love and hugs
Frances
🥰🥰🥰
You might like Olympea if you like the doll head smell. I don't think the salt is very prominent in that one. Yeah, Coco Mademoiselle is not my favorite, but I struggle with patchouli.
Olfactofiles Fragrance Reviews ohh really ,I would never have thought of that one because of the salt !! Good to know ,I will try to get a decant of that one !! Thank you
Omg I thought I was the only one who steps the plastic!
I get that feel as well! Thanks!
Finally someone who also do not like mademoiselle intense. It smells fishy metallic on my skin
Yay! Glad I'm not alone. I was definitely not a fan.
I love womanity!!!!! The original
I still need to try the original. This flanker was a bit strange. Thanks!
I myself do not like any of the mugler perfums
I really like Alien a lot and a couple of from the Les Exceptions line, but I am not a fan of Angel or Aura, either.
I thought I was the only one who thought Nirvana Black smelled masculine. Good to know it’s not just me. 😂
I wore Chinatown to bed one night, and my husband made me get up and wash it off. 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 Too funny! Yeah, it's strong!
I just can't stand my China town, B no.9; I don't like Tobacco Vanille, TF either; Noix de Tuberose, Miller Harris and Good Girl, CHerrera don't like anymore but I love my Chanel Mademoiselle Intense. 😁🇩🇪🇲🇽🌷
I haven't smelled anything from Miller Harris, but I'm not a big fan of Good Girl either. I do love Tobacco Vanille, though!
God bless 🙏🏿
Thank you!
@@Olfactofiles I do like that bottle though. I considered buying one just for the bottle... 🤷 It is unique.. 👍😁
We were cool until you mentioned Chinatown. 🤣🤣🤣
LOL! I know, sorry! 🤣🤣🤣
I agree with you about 4 of these. I hate all of the coco chanel fragrances. Chanel and Tom Ford are the worst houses ever.
I must say I do like a lot of Tom Ford fragrances (though many are overpriced) but in general I do no care for Chanel fragrances. Thanks so much, Tera!
you look like Renee Zellweger
I'll take it! :) Thanks!
I will take them. Lol
LOL, Rose! You have at least a couple of these I think!
Oh i dont like coco chanel either
I've heard a few people who also don't like it, but it seems so popular. Glad I'm not alone!
im not into the strong ,woody or masculine perfume vibes.....
Yeah, there are a few that lean somewhat masculine that I like, but I tend to prefer the ones that are feminine or completely unisex.
Olympea is horrible
Lol, Rose! You always make me laugh, telling it how it is! 🤣
