Is that 2 in 1 esc 3s capable? Having trouble fitting 3s esc inside lol. Great vid bro! Also one more question lol, do you have a link for those shocks? I got the kyx Grom shocks but the springs are way too stiff!😤
Great job covering the Typhon Grom. I'm in the process of upgrading mine and didn't know that the servo was held in by the ESC. I purchased an adjustable motor mount and M0.5 pinion and now I need a Hot Racing Servo mount. Total cost is about $35 without motor, ESC and receiver. So basically by the time your done you could have bought 2 Arrma Groms but it should be worth it. The stock parts are very reasonable so it should prove to be a great little buggy on 2s. I like the 2 in one motor from Arrma but to save money I'm just using what I have for the electronics.
Unless you want to replace the connectors of your battery or speed controller (ESC) you don’t need to know how to solder YET But if you plan to grow in the hobby it’s a great skill to learn and not difficult after your first few mistakes ( it’s ok to make mistakes ) I’ll make a video on how to solder connections soon to help you out 👍
How is that motor holding up? I tried that same motor/esc combo and it fried after 2 batteries. Changed it out for Hobbywing Quicrun 16BL30 ESC and Quicrun 2435 motor. So far so good. Running at 50% is still way faster than brushed system. I'm afraid to try 100% for too long.
Absolutely! You’ll need a 2.0mm pinion for the 2n1 motor esc. The stock pinion is a 2.3mm inner diameter. Make sure to get a MOD 0.5 and 16T fits the stock motor mount.
Can you tell me what bore size pinion gear is on the spectrum brushless motor I'm running the same setup I bought a pinion but it wobbles on the shaft when you tighten it down the pinion gear is 2.3mm and the motor shaft size is 2mm
Did you have to grind down something in the front area to fit the GPM aluminum diff? I ordered front and rear and was informed the front has to be filed down to fit between front shock towers??
Thank you for Watching, Glad it helped. The Diff Covers are for a Granite GROM But the Typhon GROM shares the same parts. The Shocks are my brand I'll be releasing soon.

You’ve clearly never owned and tuned a Team Associated Reflex 14b! They are awesome and many clubs started race class’ in 2019 based on that awesome platform. I’ve owned over 50 RC’s and the Reflex is one of my favorites. They released a Reflex MT a few months ago and although I haven’t owned I hear it’s supposed to be awesome. Also, the 12 scale LC Racing truggy is AMAZING and my Ho Bao Hyper TT 12 scale Truggy is awesome as well. Some of the small scale stuff are a lot of fun at skate parks. With that said, I’m more of a 10 scale MT and 8 scale buggy and Truggy guy.

strongly recommend getting the aluminum servo saver. broke mine second drive.
Excellent thank you!
No!!! Thank you! 😁
One of the BEST RC vids I've seen!!!!!!
You’re Awesome for watching
We’ll keep making them every week for you.
Any suggestions for next weeks Video?
I just got mine yesterday. I love it so far only drove it for two mins on my lunch break lol great video first one I watched
Great to hear you enjoyed the video!!
I picked up 1 yesterday and love it more than all my others plus granite grom it ran over 30 minutes on the first charge, 10 out of 10 I give it,
I Need 3 more.. just because
Whats the reason you like it more than the grom?
Hits the wall, good thing I got aluminum diff covers, had me rolling. Great video and commentary.

The ESC is very capable but you will need a new pinion with 2mm shaft to use it. As far as the Shocks I'd go with Losi mini b aluminum shocks

Any chance we could get a step-by-step installation video for the brushless system and a full parts list?
I might do a full build live stream soon
Man when you showed me that thottle % on the side I was like whattt. turns out my granite grom has been on 75% thus whole time lol....
Turn that thing up!!!
Immediate grom upgrade. Subscription earned lol
I did run it for 5mins before I Fully Upgrading it.. so I had some restraint
Bigger tires and will have a big rock grom!
That’s not a bad idea 🤔💡
I have had one for months it's called the team associated reflux it's the world championship model everything is metal
From my experience you want to keep some plastic parts..
Plastic flexes.. metal bends
I have to say worth the extra $10 just for the body mount but it seem to have more. Mad on Brushless.
NO BODY CLIPS!! It's so easy to use and seals the chassis up real nice
and the fan is nice.

The servo mounts were pulled from a Tamiya TT-02 kit. But any 1/10 or 1/18 scale universal servo mounts should be compatible.

wha tis the upgrade button that made it faster
There a switch on the side of the transmitter that raises the speed from 50% to 100% throttle
What button is that you hit to go faster? Is it on a training mode by default?
I had it on 50% throttle out the box. I switched it to 100%

I haven't had that issue with mine. Could me your mesh is off with your gears
