Texas Bucket list is such a nice, positive and fun to watch channel. Very rare on youtube today. I (as an austrian) have visited california, arizona, nevada and utha....texas is the next us-state on my list to visit. Looking forward too eat some nice burgers and BBQ there. Love your channel. [Sry if my gramma is bad i am not a native english speaker] :)
Great barbecue friendly people work there, the cook Ben does an excellent job. if you've never seen the Texas chainsaw massacre the original then check it out, by the way I love watching the Texas bucket list Shane does an excellent job -Jake from Texas
Took the kids there while on spring break in Austin last year and we all loved the place, I love horror movies and bbq so what better place to hang out at
The thing is, Texas Chainsaw Massacre IS based on a true story. It's based on the story of Ed Gein, albeit it is more loose in nature than what actually occurred with Ed but he was the basis for the movie
TCM is nowhere near based on a "true story." The plot is fictional for the most part. The film is loosely inspired by Ed Gein. He was a grave-robber who would make furniture out of human remains. He did make masks out of some victims too. That is really the only similarity with Gein and TCM. He didn't hunt people down with a chainsaw or live with 2 other psychopaths. He actually only admitted to killing 2 people... If any move is based on a true story it's Deranged (1974), which is the real story of Ed Gein.
I have passed by this place a couple dozen times and never knew this. I have not even considered eating here because it looks kind of small . Maybe I will have to give it a try. It looked kinda of run down until they restored it. Maybe that's why I never stopped.
I used to live in Bastrop been out there a couple of times, Its worth the visit, also if I remember correctly also in Bastrop, in the lake Bastrop area there is a boy scouts Lodge on the lake where they filmed the Friday the 13th reboot.
Well, that's pretty cool. I mean its not everyday that you can go to a place that Hollywood filmed and ACTUALLY eat or hang out there, let alone buy stuff from a gift shop there too.
Visiting Texas is on the top of my bucket list, greetings from the Netherlands.
I *WILL* visit this one day. This is one seriously iconic horror locale, love how they kept it so original (the exterior, anyway)

He was pretty much only the concept. He was also the basis for Psycho.

It’s good.
Good question. What about the BBQ?
No Food?
So, what part of the movie was based on a true story -- in other words what part of the movie was true?
The movie was based on a real man from Wisconsin ed gein so the rest is movie history ..
I bet he keeps the munchies around 😎
Without a chain on your saw?
I cant stand horror movies, but this guy seems nice, would love to try the bbq
Yeah, what is in the chili?

Some of the best bbq in Bastrop? Really?
What about the BBQ??
The saw is family
Wot! No burger? Regards Stephen.
What about the bbq? Even bad Texas bbq is better than the best any other States bbq can offer. Go for the adventure. Go for the chainsaw
I dislike because nothing was said about the BBQ !!!
