I been rucking with super heavy loads in budget packs my whole life with no problems. It's all in how you prepare the load. That Tidewe pack looks way better built than my old used hiking packs I buy off ebay. It should serve you well.
Obviously it’s not going to have all the premium materials but it seems to have a bunch of features that really make it functional especially for the price
That looks like a nice pack there with extra much needed external straps !!! The Cabela's line of Framed packs work well too.... The Alaskan & Prestige frame with an 80liter pack does well.... $100 for frame & $150 for the pack. . . Alps also has the budget Commander X line & more expensive Xtreme line
@@seansoutdoors I noticed the bottom of the frame bumps my butt left and right. I am 6'3", 210 lbs, I would like the risers higher so I have more of an angle from the top of my shoulder to the riser connection, if that makes sense. I have the risers pulled all the way in, I am trying to get this closer to my back. It is almost straight, I would like the risers to go up at a 45 degree. I am tryng to get the waist/kidney strap higher. I just had a test 3.5 mile hike with 45 lbs loaded in it.
Great timing! We put in for CO for our 2nd year. Hopefully drawing First Rifle. Last years pack didn’t cut it. Do you drop camp or is your pack strictly for packing out meat?
If I understand you correctly, I'd say yes, although I have a hard time picturing what you are asking. In other words, the wording you've used is not how I would word what I think you are asking.
I did not end up drawing my elk tag so I did not go on that trip. It is hopefully going to happen this coming fall. However, I really like this pack a lot and am extremely happy to have it for that purpose.
Thanks for the review! I am thinking about this pack for grandson for our backpack trip this coming July. Question... I saw a review on Amazon that said the frame is steel not aluminum? Is this true? Thanks!
@@WKR79 I just checked. I am not sure. It does not feel like aluminum, and so maybe it is some grade of steel, but I would not have thought steel upon feeling it. It is also painted so you cannot see the actual metal itself.
@@seansoutdoors I see. You wouldn't have a magnet handy to see if it sticks to it, would you? Probably doesn't matter, I think I am going to order it anyway but now I am really curious! :-)

I just got mine delivered today for deer hunting. Hopefully it pulls threw for me!!! Good luck on the elk hunt!!!
Amen, God bless your efforts
That looks pretty nice.
I'm still using my medium Alice pack they let me keep when I got out.
Peace.
👍
I bought the same pack to use this fall for elk. I know one thing tho.. I need to build up to that kind of work!
God bless your journey.

Awesome!!
Just ordered mine hopefully gets here in time for this weekends hunt
God bless your hunts!!!
@@seansoutdoorsappreciate it
I think the " little loop" is to secure a pistol. I bought one and plan on using it this Fall for my 1st elk hunt in Colorado.
👍
I got one for Xmas. Nice pack but waaay to big for me. I'm only 5'5. So many pockets will be difficult to find things.
👍
Good review.. has alot of room .. pretty awesome piece of equiptment from the tidewe line... awesome brother. Good stuff
Thanks, brother. Much appreciated
Just ordered one on Amazon Prime Day for $118 total including tax. Looking forward to using this.
Great! Enjoy it!

@@junkboy123456 Interesting. I will be watching for those observations when I get to do some testing as well. God bless you.
Love those for backpacking....nice too
Thanks
Nice frame pack almost works the same as my frame pack . Which is the Alps
👍
Exactly what we need for you to pack my bull out this fall!
Amen, brother. I hope we pull tags!
an aluminum frame is awesome, can be modular and hold a lot assuming it doesn't rip
👍👍
Well, what is the verdict on this pack? Been lookin at this one and just havent seen enough to pull the trigger on it.
I like it a lot, it's working great for me
Great timing! We put in for CO for our 2nd year. Hopefully drawing First Rifle. Last years pack didn’t cut it. Do you drop camp or is your pack strictly for packing out meat?
I hope you draw. We put in too. If we do not draw I may do another OTC hunt
Nice! Does the pack move forward away from the frame in order to haul out meat?
If I understand you correctly, I'd say yes, although I have a hard time picturing what you are asking. In other words, the wording you've used is not how I would word what I think you are asking.
Curious to see what your thoughts were after using it this fall? Did it hold up well and hold everything you needed? How was the pack out?

@@seansoutdoors ah sorry to hear that, but thanks for the response! Does the link and discount code still work?
Yes, the 18% discount still works. Just put SEAN18 in for the code at checkout and the discount will be applied.
Hey Sean can you use the pack without the frame?
No you need to external frame. Everything is strapped to it.

It is very light so I assumed it was aluminum but I will have to look when I'm home and let you know. If it is steel, it's some super light steel!
@@seansoutdoors Thank you! I will be surprised if it is steel!

@@WKR79 I had not thought of that. I just found a weak magnet and it did not hold to it in the least bit.
i'd never want this pack loose on my back when gaining elevation, keep it close to your body, just so your not off balance...
The terrain dictates
How are those zippers holding up? They sound ROUGH on this video.
I haven't been using it yet. I got it for in the fall
Does the bag come off to just use frame
Yes it detaches
@@seansoutdoors awesome thank you
You ever pack out your deer harvest ?
Many times. Here's what I used to use many years ago ua-cam.com/video/QIDk7dgmtcQ/v-deo.html
You completely skipped over the best feature of this pack and that is the ability to remove the pack and use the frame to haul game.
I was waiting for you to mention it
