They really did a marvelous job bringing Cruella De Vil from cartoon form to real-life flesh-and-blood. Glenn Close did a portrayal that will probably remain the definitive Cruella for a long time to come. Indeed, I can’t imagine anyone else pulling it off. The challenge I think is not in the character itself but in the fact that you have to convince the audience, adults AND children, that you ARE Cruella and not just someone doing a cos-play of Cruella. When I saw her in the two movies, there wasn’t a moment I thought “She is great as Cruella!” It was always “She IS Cruella!” Glenn Close has qualified into the highest legions of her profession as an actress by the words of Spencer Tracy (paraphrased) “Acting is fun, just don’t get caught doing it.”

I dressed up as Cruella for Halloween one year for a party and I thought it would be funny to walk my dog around the block in costume because who wouldn't laugh if they saw Cruella walking down the street in broad daylight with a puppy? LOL I got the leash and went out to get Roxie (my dog), and I kid you not, she started barking and she literally ran and hid from me! She was just a puppy at the time, I think it was her first Halloween, poor thing.

Today's adaptation's live action are not giving credits enought to the animation counterparts (Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin at some point do honour the original, but they could do more...).

Let me remind you that Helena was Bellatrix freaking Lestrange at one point in her life. She lived and breathed Bellatrix. I can't really see Emma as a villainous character. Sorry, folks. Make a Metalcore, Deathcore, Death Metal or Groove Metal remix of Cruella De Vil scenes from 2 movies, 101 Dalmatians (1996) and 102 Dalmatians (2000). Make sure it has some Cruella's screams and growls and yells from these scenes of 2 movies. If you guys want to accept this challenge to let Glenn Close version of Cruella De Vil to become a Metal musician, say "Yes"!

The sequel (this one) is basically Cruella getting out of prison after kidnapping all the puppies in the first film and having to pay her debt to society because she's lost everything except her fortune and her home - and if she fails again her whole fortune will go to the dogs. Basically this film is an aftermath to see how long Cruella can stay sane and away from her fur coats which we see is NOT long at all! Terrific films both this one and the live action. Glenn Close I think should be Cruella in the next 101 Dalmations yet again, but I'm anxious to see how Emma Stone pulls it off.
