- In this video I'm using the same template as my previous How to Sew a Doll video however this time I'm showing you how to do it all by hand! (and I don't include the ears)

Here's the free template and be sure to reduce the pattern size by about 25-50% for a smaller sized doll....or you could totally hand sew the larger full size too!

I have another video (5 ways to do doll hair) and I share a similar method using pins. But a bit neater 😆 I hope it helps!

Thank you for the free template, but it’s small on my iPhone so how how big am I supposed to make it when I printed please let me know
You’re welcome! When you print it out it’s set to be printed on US letter size paper which will be around a 8” doll. For the video, I shrunk the template to maybe 25%? I can’t remember! But this little doll is probably half the size of the original. You’ll have to try seeing what works with your printer! I hope that helps

Just wanted to know the approx time to make this doll as I am wanting to use this for a college project!
Hmmm. Depends on how fast you can hand sew. On the machine would be quick! Maybe would take me 2 hours tops. Hand sewing might be double that because it’s so time consuming!

How much do you need to enlarge the pattern for the larger doll ?

How did you make the hair? It was going too fast to see properly 😄
I’m sorry 😭 I used pins and pinned them into the dolls head where I want the hairline to be and then kind of laced yarn in between, back and forth through the pins until they’re covered. Then I sewed to the head to secure down, removing the pins as I go!

@@janedoe3345 so I’m still learning about getting the right camera angles and being a better “instructor” 😂 trying to make better videos! I made a new video that is much more clear than what I share in this one. I uploaded it recently it’s called “button jointed arms”. That is pretty much the same way I sew on her arms, but a better explanation. I hope it helps! 💛

Really pretty doll but the tutorial is useless. How am I meant to see what you are doing when is spedup? I'm on a kindle so I can't slow the video down.

Was there any reason for being so rude? I think the tutorial was very informative and explained that there was another tutorial for joining the arms. I'm a complete beginner and never made a ragdoll before, but I still understood exactly what to do without slowing anything down. This is completely acceptable and useful for someone with even a basic education to learn how to make a ragdoll without any prior knowledge of stitching or making anything similar. You only have to give her video your full attention, watch and listen properly.
