My daughter is 13, i made her do the test and it comes positive, i am in shock, crying since morning, i decided to bring her to school and pick her up.. Cut off her friends, and put her under supervision..she lies, she hides things, i first found out that she smokes then a friend called to tell me that he saw her with friends smoking weed..she's failing school, she only think about her appearance, i know she may hate me, but am not gonna see her throw herself of the cliff and keep watching

@@LiveOnPurposeTV I'm in the UK and having the same problems with my 15 yr old son who now smokes cannabis daily 😭 I'm completely beside myself with stress & anxiety. Tried everything to reach out to, and reason with him. He just says he likes it and isn't going to stop. Our relationship and his school grades are both fast deteriorating. Also hes lost so much weight because he skips meals & wont eat propetly. Then he binge eats when comes down from cannabis. I suspect he makes himself sick afterwards. We have always been so close and I'm devastated by all this - and feel powerless and out of my depth. At 15 its virtually impossible to get a Saturday job here, so if I don't give him £cash to socialise he openly tells me he will be persuaded to deal to get cash 😭 Along with teens his own age, he is mixing with 18+ yr olds on a daily basis who smoke too and are either DD themselves or connected to DD. My son thinks they're all cool and his friends, and doesnt think he's being exploited, but to me, he clearly is. E.g. He was coerced recently by 2 of the so called friends who are 3/4 yrs older than him into doing something v bad for just £10!!! which I cannot repeat on here. He is definitely frightened of retribution as a result of but will not stop mixing with the group. I'm so ashamed of how he is behaving which is not how I've brought him up. But hugely more importantly I am majorly scared for him (& myself) about where all this is leading. Nothing I say or do makes any difference. Unfortunately co-parenting is impossible with my ex-h who is highly abusive to me (& was throughout our marriage), and has never created any boundaries or consequences for our son if there's been bad behaviour. He enables all of this to continue and undermines me at every opportunity. My son knows his father is abusive to me, and a very heavy drinker yet is still manipulative between us. I've spoke to the school who are dire, and was told to stop micromanaging my son!! Spoke to GP when something else bad happened & despite being referred for 'help', that has made zero difference either - and my ex keeps telling me off for seeking help for our son so I cannot win. His method of let him see the light himself is not working and I cannot just stand by and do nothing. Yet he has even been told off on his own for being drunk & disorderly & also with others for ASB by the Police, but doesn't even take that seriously. I'm getting nowhere and it's only getting worse. At my wits end now and it's making me so ill. Please please can anyone offer any advice? I'm in the UK. Thank you for reading this, and any positive advice would be greatly welcomed.

My son is almost 18 he took his first drink at 17. He’s really loved by my husband and specially me. Recently he shared that he has tried weed and he ditched school for one class! 😮 We always know where he is because he tells us and we have his location on the phone (😅) I know exactly when he ditched because I couldn’t see his location and when I asked he said “that’s weird” now he has confessed🤦🏻‍♀️ I feel happy that he comes clean and tells me but inside I’m dying!! He’s been drinking more and I’m trying hard to inform him of the dangers of drinking at his age and I try not to talk with my emotions but rather with intelligence and compassion! Yes, our culture is toxic and I have cut down my drinking but I can’t help feeling guilty and I’m so worried now since he’s soon graduating and off to college! He’s very responsible and a great student! He said he’s been stressed out with school because he was in marching band, orchestra and all important subjects! I worry so much for him because his too young to be drinking! I told him he’s not allowed to drink until he’s older but he said all his friends drink and the parents are cool… I asked him to please reconsider all the facts and conversations about alcohol and that’s where we’re at now!!! Parenting is not easy!! Thanks for your advice!!❤

What if this '"teen" is 18 and fast approaching 19 years old. Ran away at 17 because things were not going his way. Then came back home as an "adult" with no other shelter options. Quits his (good paying ) Job two weeks into it because he simply does not want to work. Now stays out until all hours of the night returning home at 2, 3, and 5 o'clock in the morning and takes 14 hour naps. We have zero legal authority over him to put him into treatment. Live On Purpose TV my niece isn’t a teen but a beautiful sweet young lady, and she is going through hell. She said she used marijuana about three times. But my wife and I believe it’s been about a year. We also don’t believe it’s “legal “ , then medical marijuana either. But this really helped out. Again. Thank you

Live On Purpose TV thank you very much. It will pass. We are praying and just going slow with small steps. We are already seeing some encouraging signs. I talked with my niece last week for about 5 hours. It was cordial open and we really enjoyed it. We agreed to meet every two Mondays , just by ourselves. We will all get through this, patience and perseverance and faith in God . Thanks again so very much. One positive thing about this is, it brought my niece and I closer than we ever been , as well as my wife and I
