This is a great pedal! And I would wanna get one.. but I wish you can change the preset by tapping both FS instead of holding down one FS for like 3 seconds or you can tap in an external FS to do that.
If I could dial out the modeled "mechanical noises" like the artificially risen noise floor and tape splice points, and store multiple presets.... and maybe cut just a bit more treble from the repeats, this would be the perfect delay pedal.

Hi, David. Yes, the UA pedals can all accept line level signals with headroom to spare. That way it can be used with guitar, synths, or even as a hardware insert with a DAW. Thanks for your interest! Charlie Davis, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1320, charlie_davis@sweetwater.com

@@davidlehew1182 Hi, David. There is no switching necessary. The UA pedals can handle anything from instrument to line level and you don't have to do anything extra to make it work. Thanks! Charlie Davis, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1320, charlie_davis@sweetwater.com
Hi So if I save a preset, when I turn the Starlight on, does it start up with the preset like the Golden or does it start up with tap tempo every time;? So I have to keep pressing tap for a few seconds when I need my preset. Could be awkward live…
Hi, MrPerfectfeet. The pedal reboots to the state that it was last left in, including whatever tempo you have set. The Volante isn’t analog at all. And it only does tape echo. This pedal is still in its early stages. This thing is going to be more amazing than it already is.
Hi, Ryu. The Starlight will only do one delay setting at a time. If you're needing two delays simultaneously, then the DD500 is a great option. Thanks for your interest! Charlie Davis, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1320, charlie_davis@sweetwater.com
Hello, great question. The Tape EP-II and Analog DMM algorithms will self-oscillate at higher feedback levels and the Precision algorithm will repeat indefinitely at maximum feedback but will not self-oscillate. Thanks! Pretty and well built, but sadly not impressed. No sound on sound effect, but lots of noise and artifacts that nobody really cares about or wants in their signal chain. They forgot the grandaddy of delays The Roland RE-501!.
the precision is a definite misstep. It doesn’t make sense to spend $400 for a digital delay sound. Amazing ep-3 emulation: yes. amazing DMM emulation: maybe not (can just buy an actual DMM). This needs several more modes to make room for a plain digital delay and a guitar pedal emulation. Cooper time cube is on the right track. @@wargo6263 I almost never use my real tape echo's these days. Usually a 90s DMM RI or a newer Roland RE20 Space Echo I like a lot. The RE20 turned into my go-to unit. I'd have to get a Starlight to try it out, but don't think it really does anything I can't do (or need) already.

Everybody love sum Sweetwater
The DMM with the vibrato sounds amazing!
In spite of the salesmanship, very nice, indepth demonstration.
That's his job?
Awesome blossom... I really want the modulation too, but this one kinda reminds me of a simplified Strymon Volante

Thanks for explaining , sounds great .
Like it sounds warm easy to use
Would be nice if there was a switch to lift the hiss/noise. Sure, it’s part of the original but most of the time I’d prefer to opt out!
These are going to be very popular. UA has officially invaded the pedal market :-)
I preordered one but, will return it if it does not have a trail feature. I mean, it's a $400 pedal.
I'd download the manual before purchasing the Starlight if I were you
it does. activate with app
@@erikpaterson1404 Yeah, but they don't publish ANYTHING. You can't find the impedance specs or anything.
I could be trippin, but it kinda seems like the sound doesn’t change in real time AS you turn the knobs
I’m considering this pedal as I’m looking to finally upgrade from the memory boy but would anyone say it’s worth the extra cost over the Walrus D1?
