You obviously enjoy travelling, exploring, culture, history and martial arts... perhaps you could combine these interests and make a few videos featuring the development and practice of different martial arts & combat sports across Thailand... such as Muay Thai, Muay Boron, krabi krabbong, MMA, western boxing, karate etc etc Would be fascinating

Tbh I’m not sure when it comes to drones brought in from abroad. I do realise that generally speaking the sub 250g ones are subject to less restrictions. I would visit a DJI shop when you get here (currently the one in Tukcom Pattaya is closed). Because they sell drones they tend to know and have all the documentation you need and will usually do it all for you for a fee. As you have restricted time this might be a big advantage. Hope this helps

i’m with you on the martial arts. when i moved as a kid to a new neighborhood, i was immediately intimidated by a neighborhood bully. off to judo instruction was my path, and with that self confidence i never had any confrontations after that. although i did considerable bulking up for other sports along the way. that might have helped. would you recommend to foreigners visiting thailand to be prepared to protect yourself? wouldn’t hurt!

@@donaldcroom1483 if your question is directed to me, I’d advise anything that involves deflecting and shoving over striking. Fights in Thailand involve complications. A real slug fest with another foreigner lands you both in trouble with the police. Even sharp words with a Thai can lead to a knife or machete or club. If you are actually mixing it up in unarmed combat with a Thai, random Thais will pile in to beat you up without considering who’s right or wrong. So shoving and evasive action, covering up. The wrestling, boxing (more to dodge and cover up than strike), judo skills are good but don’t escalate would be my byword. Think like a bouncer doing crowd control, not like an aggressor.

There are some reasonable walking up by the Pattaya sign in Pattaya. A bit further out there’s Khao Mai Kaew that has some forest trails. If you’re willing to drive an hour or two then places like Khao Chamao Mountain/Waterfall offer some cool hiking opportunities. I did make a video there early last year as it happens

The Flowers team has done a pretty good job on the resort. An education visa is a pain in the ass. The visa agents' prices vary wildly and the damn government has started calling "language students" to check up on how their "language study" is progressing in Thai.🤣🤣🤣 I think Rage uses an agent, but a very professional one imho.

Did you find it wise to stay clear of most expats during your younger days especially in the Brit pubs? There was a large contingent of expats in Bucharest during the 90's and early 2000's. Talked so much crap about plans they had whilst sat in an Irish pub at midnight. Next day back there for more of the same. I felt sorry for any newly arrived expat with cash on the hip as the broke scammers started to circle and congregate around them. In those days there wasn't much to do in Bucharest except to drink.

Sometimes I’d give large groups of my fellow Brit’s a wide berth tbh if they looked drunk and rowdy but it wasn’t because they were Brits. I don’t have much time for negative expats in general but most are fine.
