Since I am from the area, I don't consider myself a "tourist" but I moved away 20 years ago. My last trip back was the first time I actually stayed in Chinatown. I highly recommend it to any traveler to NYC. The hotels there are small and compact and when you walk outside, you are immediately in the thick of things. I will say the best time to walk out is early morning as you will see the older generation of Chinatown residents exercising and walking about. It is pretty inspirational as they are in great shape. Most of the streets are tight and small. It is so close to Soho and Little Italy (beware of the hard selling people at the Little Italy restaurants, who will basically drag you into them as you walk by. It is a very competitive business...) that you can stay a week and still not see and experience everything in the area. I still love NYC, top to bottom, warts and all. Great video, Sarah!
I frequent the Big Apple almost every year (from India), but have never had enough of the exhilarating experience ! Thanks for the tips, pitfalls, discount offers. Please take care: You'd surely have a healthy, and yes, a genuinely New Yorker baby ! Our best wishes to you and the choicest blessings to the baby who'll be born soon !
Thank you. I love the exuberance you have for your city. I’ll be visiting NYC for a 7th time in early December with a sister and a friend. Both Top of the Rock and the Summit are on my list. I love the Highline. I visited the Empire State Bldg 3-4 times and experienced the top of One World Trade Center five months before 9/11. I remember feeling the building sway and looking across at Two WTC and watching it sway. I also got a great photo of the WTC towers from the Hudson River while doing a tour around Statue of Liberty in 2001.
New York is a beautiful city and I had the chance to go to alot of the places you mentioned in the video. I’ll never forget it and I want to come back again:) thanks for the awesome video Sarah
Great video, Sarah! Thanks for sharing. As winter is coming, could you, please, make a video of the Top 10 things to see, specifically during that period? Thank you!
Great video again, Sarah. I love it. From the ten things I have done nine. It's such a great city. And there are always new things to explore. I've been in the city for six times, and every time I see always something new. Your video's are a good inspiration for a new trip. I surtenly will go again to the city.
Never been that early to see one of your Videos but damn, 25 minutes. 😅 I'll show my wife and two kids the City in February next year. Been in NYC 10 years ago for one week by myself so I'm super thrilled to see the City after such a long time. Our kids are mega excited as well! See you soon New York! Missed you too much! Thanks Sarah for All your videos to prepare us for the trip. Much love from Germany!
always enjoy your content, im headed there next week - been many times but every time I watch one of your videos, I discover something new. I also make content and will be doing a camera review while exploring NYC - thanks for all the great ideas. Oh and your NYC Google Map is such a great resource!
That's beneficial. The 10 places you choose are looks like kind of main dish. Actually I stayed in Manhattan for a couple of months, but there are lots of place where I didn't go. Thanks for nice and brief video.
Thank you for the tip about the Broadway lottery! I have been in NYC for one week for work and entered everyday. Finally on my last day here I won and got ticket for Alladin 😃😃😃
Were you in Brooklyn Heights at the beginning? I grew up there and visitors might like to spend some time there before walking over the Brooklyn Bridge. The Promenade and Brooklyn Bridge Park have postcard views of the Lower Manhattan skyline. It's quite historic and one of the best preserved neighborhoods in the city. The Transit Museum occupies an abandoned subway station in the neighborhood and has several retired subway cars.
I don’t think you need to visit Statue of Liberty. Fine to take a boat past it. Little Italy has been so encroached on by Chinatown, it’s really a shame. I would put the NYC Public Library Rose Reading Room on the list.
It's true that there's very little left of Little Italy. It's just 3 blocks of Mulberry St. with restaurants and souvenir stores mainly catering to tourists. If you go one block, especially east, on the cross streets, you're in Chinatown. On the other hand, Chinatown is well worth a visit, the food is the among the best in the country. There are also other Chinatowns in the outer boroughs; like Flushing, Queens and Sunset Park, Brooklyn. You're right about the Statue of Liberty, it's not worth the wait. You get a good view of it for free from the Staten Island Ferry.

Lived in NYC my whole life and there are still so many places I have yet to visit.
Sarah ! I have traveled to NYC five times, there is still so much to do and see ! Congratulations on the new baby!

We are currently visiting and loving all the spots we found because of your videos!!
I was surprised not to see the MOMA on the list. To me, it was a life-changing experience; I enjoy the MOMA over all the best museums in Europe.
She did say there are so many of them so moma would be included!
Your insights and recommendations truly made trip unforgettable. Thank you
