Can you please 🙏🏽 help UA-camrs K-City family they need tips on NYC when and where they plan their trip to New York sometime this year, maybe 😊 thanks #HereBeBarr 🙌👍🏽🌮🍲🍜🍨🍰🍔
My son & I visited for 3 days in November. We learned so much from your videos! While 3 days isn’t enough, we packed in a ton, using many of your suggestions. Especially getting us over fear of subway. Great food at Sarge’s, Adel’s, Magnolia, John’s of Bleeker, Chinatown, & especially the Nona Maria. We went to the crown, summit OV, RiseNy, 9/11 museum, one world, walked the bridge, Central Park, Staten Island ferry, Roosevelt Island tram, dumbo, Brooklyn, high line, and more. Your videos helped fit so much into the short time we had. I’m still watching them now, after the trip. Thanks so much!!
My friend and I were in Boston last year for a model railroad convention. We had an extra day to fill, and wanted an excuse to ride Amtrak Acela, so we made a day trip to NYC. Arrived at 10am, walked around (and subway) until 7pm. Saw Columbus Circle, walked around the lower part of Central Park, subway down to Tribeca to see the Ghostbusters headquarters, walked to the 9 11 memorial, Battery Park to see the Statue, subway to Brooklyn, walked around DUMBO, had pizza for lunch, hung out on the banks of the East River, walked over the Brooklyn Bridge, walked past the Empire State, and returned to Penn Station. It was an epic day. So glad we did it! Yes, I would have loved to spend more time, but something is ALWAYS better thsn nothing.
I’m visiting NYC for the third time in three days 😊 your videos have helped me plan my trip for the past five years and will continue to do so for the years to come! Appreciate everything that you do!
Great vid as always. Have been using you as a source for years now. A lot of this I knew and have tried already (thanks in part to you) but you still teach me new things and give me great new ideas for our next visit. One of the best 3-day itineraries I have ever seen and so good for first time visitiors especially.
Thank you Jon for showing us the different tourist attractions in NYC. This video will definitely help me if I decide to plan a trip to this beautiful city.
Hi mate, me and my partner have just got back from NYC and thanks to your chanel we had an absolute great time. I have the remaining 5 attractions on our city pass for two and would like to hand them to you for any future videos you have planned and to say thanks @HereBeBarr
Great video! The only change I would make is go to the summit one observation deck instead of top of the rock. Very interactive and it’s open until midnight so you can go at the end of your day to see NYC lit up in all its splendor. Also shout out to action kid in beginning of video!
Awesome video again Jon! So many must do places put in a great itenerary - done most of these over the years! Personally, as well as some great ideas from you videos I always try to make sure to squeeze in Staten Island Ferry/ Brooklyn Bridge walk or I don't feel I've done NYC right 😀🗽
Thank you, Jon. I've got first time visitors coming to stay with me next week, and what with the forecasted cold and their short stay, I'm all about trying to get as much squeezed in for them to see as possible without freezing to death!
I’ve been to NYC 5 times now since 2019 and still so much I haven’t seen. But so many of your videos made me feel like a pro at seeing great spots and getting around on the subway with city mapper app. Keep up the great work!!!
Just returned to UK following a Twixtmas visit to NYC, can agree Tik-Tok diner is fab (Steak and eggs benedict meant lunch was not necessary!) Also Tria and Georges diners both were superb traditional diners, inexpensive and great value for money!
Was just in NYC last week (during the absolutely bone chilling cold). Watched a ton of your videos prior to our trip. Key takeaways and highlights: Citizen M hotel, museum of street art. beautiful, free and no one was there. Peninsula hotel lobby for Christmas. Beautiful! Bryant Park Winter Village 9/11 memorial. Didn’t realize it went into the depths. Touching and moving. Rockefeller center was over rated and SO crowded, as you’ve said. Things I loved that I didn’t know. The sculptures next to the Oculus were really cool. Some broadway rush tickets go on sale Monday for the whole week. I missed the Moulin Rouge tickets because I thought it was day of. I didn’t know Times Square turns into art exhibit for 3 minutes around midnight every night. Missed this and wish I had known. The Louis Vittuon baggage building on 6th Ave was really cool. Not sure if it is always there, but was neat. Thanks for your help! We had a great time!
I dont know why the tonal shift in your voice at 8:52 made me LOL.. Great video though, I can tell I've been watching you for years because I've probably done almost all of the attractions on your list. (not the restaurants.. yet)
I am planning a trip to NYC in late February. I live in California. Wondering if I should wait until the weather warms up in the Spring or go in late February to avoid some of the crowds and higher costs in the Spring. I don't want to pack a bunch of warm clothes to add weight to my luggage.
Can anyone give me input on the Belvedere hotel and the Park Central hotel? These are the two I’m looking at based off location and budget. I m concerned with bed bugs. I’ve read mixed reviews on both.
I'm not honestly sure but I don't think it's typically that busy outside of the holidays. You don't even have to sit at a table can just get a drink and walk around.
I relocated out of Brooklyn in 2013 move back to west coast where I was born because of the cost of living. Wanted to visit in 2023 and 2024 and the prices to stay in hotels off peak season for 3-4 days is ridiculous expensive over 1K. I believe it’s because of the immigrants. I wont be visiting until the cost of hotel decrease. Taking public transportation is definitely much better than taxi. Hoping to visit with my 13 year old daughter in 2025
For real tho, if yall have to come this season, knowing it's cheaper, take your pictures during *golden hour* so you can get to see some color on this otherwise dead looking environment. Also, make sure you check the weather DAILY. Nyc weather during winter months is notoriously bipolar.
To enter NYC you must now pay a $9 toll to take a cab or drive below 60th street. And will increase to $12 in 2027. That's in addition to the bridges and tunnels already charging a ridiculous toll. So everything you now pay for (Uber, yellow taxis, Restaurants, attractions, etc, will increase exponentially before Summer arrives. Because all deliveries of food, goods, etc. will cost more for businesses. And those costs will be passed down to who? Yes, us the consumer!! They will all blame the congestion toll on the exorbitant increases on their services. Avoid NY at all costs. It's not worth it anymore.

3:49 love seeing the bit of Dutch history there with the 'delicatessen' (Delicacies in English) (or Harlem Meer is another one)
As always Jon, so well put together!

Good job Jon👍👍👍 I love the place!!!!
I think you nailed it. Can't wait to do this during my next visit
As a tourist I can vouch that those Bryant park toilets are awesome. Flowers and music❤ in there

Hiii, do you suggest reserving a table in advance at Beast & Butterflies? Or can you get a table without waiting too long?
I'm not honestly sure but I don't think it's typically that busy outside of the holidays. You don't even have to sit at a table can just get a drink and walk around.
Okay! thanks!

I Live In NYC I HAVE HEARD OF THESE PLACES And Yes People Use Cash
We visited New York in 4 days, we have so bussy schedule, that we tired when we flow to Miami. We will come back and the no schedule. 😉
Where would someone stay the three nights that would make sense based on this varied itinerary?
Hasn’t Pearl Diner been closed for a couple of years?
Thankfully they reopened a while back.
don't forget about super expensive tourist taxes
What sort of taxes?

New York City taxis will incur a $1.25 surcharge per trip. That toll is for cars, they are the ones who really will suffer.
40 Bucks for a view?!?! How ridicoulos and expensive!!
Pearl Diner is meh
Only in NYC can you find the best pizza in a church and a museum in a hotel basement! This city is wild! 🍕🏛
