OR they could have the same exact experience sitting at home listening to their records and CDs right? No need for a babysitter no need to pay for parking, no need to pay for a train or some kind of Uber to get there & back so you don't get a DWI, a whole lot of expenses. PROBABLY about a good $200 or $300 would be saved if they knew you're going to be lip syncing and they could just listen to you less loud and an uninterrupted version, WITHOUT being squished in between people in their own living room for ZERO DOLLARS RIGHT? DAMN shame you choose to accept getting ripped off because somebody want to be lazy and not even sing their own music for the people who made them famous. We SERIOUSLY frown on that crap over here!
It’s not live at all. Dolly has had issues with her voice sustaining the stress of touring since the early 90s. The entire show relies solely on a backing track, but the important thing is the audience is able to get the full Dolly experience regardless.
All singers use technology, but it doesn't mean they aren't singing. Dolly would be the first to thank back up singers and the technical folks. She has often told producers she could do 100 takes and her voice will sound the same. Dolly can sing and entertain her own way. Love Dolly
