Your video is the best one I have seen yet on how to do this. It helps immensely to have the video taken from behind so I can see what you are doing, compared to others where you are looking straight at them and then have to figure out how to do it in reverse.

Maggie, you explain and demonstrate great! With the camera behind you, gives you the same perspective as if we were doing it. I knit terribly but I may gave this a shot. Wish me luck! Love the dog -- he's really enjoying the warmth from your little heater!

    Thank you for several things:
    1. Putting the camera behind you.
    2. Being very clear about the "working yarn" vs. "the tail"
    3. Using fat yarn that's SO easy to see what you're doing
    4. Puppies.
You've saved my sanity while also making me miss my dog!

Great video. You instructions are so easy to follow. Love the pooch. So sweet. I have a small apartment. I can only imagine what it would be like for a pooch that size in here. I have a 5 lb. chiwauwau. She is a handful even at her little size. I am just learning how to knit, and am having a time with arm knitting, which I find so fascinating(doesn't take much to fascinate me anyway), but I will keep at it. You will eventually get him trained to understand he is no longer a little puppy and does not need attention 7/24. Even though as mommy's we still see them as babies sometimes. Enjoy them. Thanks so much for sharing.

A suggested tip for you regarding the part where you tied your second skein of yarn to the end of the first: After cutting the tips off, you can use fabric glue, and put a couple of beads of glue just under where you cut off each tied off end, in an inconspicuous place where as not to be seen, and place those ends together onto the glue area, and/or tuck it under the knotted area with the beads of glue to keep them in place and let them dry. That way the knot will not come undone.

This looks great love the chunkiness of the scarf! Just thought of an alternative for if you can't find the thick yarn anymore - I think using a piece of comfy fleece material found at a fabric store and cutting it into strips will work just as well. You can even braid multiple strips together to create your 'yarn' and get a super texturized infinity scarf. I don't know how my brain came up with this (ha) but I can't wait to try it!

This is so cool! Going to watch (pause and repeat) to get that casting on part down. I wonder how beautiful it would be to use 4 or 5 (or more) different yarns (colors, eyelash, ribbon, etc.) all at the same time. How about using fabrics like batik, silk, or fleece torn or cut into strips? BTW I used to have Great Danes. They are the sweetest babies ever.

Maggie this looks beautiful. I ordered the Premier Couture Jazz last night.. However, had to call today to ask a few questions today and apparently although it doesn't state it on the Premier site the sparkle yarn (which I ordered) is only 13 yards vs. 16.50 yards. If I needed 2 skeins to begin with will there be enough to make this infinity scarf? Instead of being 33 yards total it will now be 26 yards. Do you think I will need to order an extra skein? How many yards do you think are needed to make the scarf? I wish you had put it on your neck in the video so I'd have some idea what it looks like on. Do you have it on in any of your other videos, if so which one and I'll take a look? Thanks for sharing this. I can't wait to try it. It would have been fun to make for gifts during the holidays. Next year I guess!

    • @VickiBensinger

Simply Maggie by doing one less row do you mean instead of 6 stitches do 5 or instead of 20 rows do 19? By the way how many rows is this scarf shown above?

+Vicki Bensinger The yarn I used came in 21 yards for one skein and that's all i used. My ends were a little shorter than Maggie's by the end but i could still finish it off the same (just cut less off) and it is plenty long enough for me ( about 18 rows but I'm not very good at it yet so it was quite a bit looser than i think it should be..)
