That race came very close to being cancelled due to the fog that rolled in. Not only was the swim course unsightable, but parts of the bike course were also too dangerous to ride. Also nice to know I "raced" the great Harry P that day... well I say raced... i think he was in the Pub by the time I got to the run part.
MEGAZOID 1 really happy you liked the video and sorry to hear about you getting stuck in he tight lanes, always puts everyone in an award position, hopefully next time you’ll have better luck :) Also we have a new video explaining the the pro license :) thanks
love your videos keep doing what your doing. Followed your how to run a quicker 10km and half.. and the intervals have really improved my run times... can you do the same for swimming?
A couple of days ago I discovered your video’s. They are great. I like the low threshold, you guys could be the guys next door. Keep up the good work. Could you tell me what it means that you are pro now? I mean, is ‘just’ some kind of title? Or do you really get paid now or something? Keep up the good and inspiring work. Best from The Netherlands
Hi mate. Really glad you like the videos! Yeah so basically now I get to race with the pros. But literally that’s it until I get some results to get sponsors interested and then there is potential to earn money from it. So in essence I’m having to compete with the best now but I’m also having ho hold down two part time jobs to fund myself- it’s not easy 😂
Follow your dreams man. You’re young only once, now is the time to do it. Good luck with your trainings and races! Keep on enjoying it and keep on posting the videos, they’re really great
Hey Harry and Chris! I'm participating in next year's 70.3 in Staffordshire, first timer. I'm curious about the temperatures you had on your IM. I saw it was really hot in 2017 (30°C), but this year looked a lot cooler. How was it? And what about the water temperatures in Chasewater? Is there any place I can find these?
Congratulations, what's your view on the Staffs bike course? You mentioned you were going really hard first 30 miles. How did you manage to do it? I find it very technical and difficult. Not just because of the horrible quality of the UK country roads, also the twists and turns. On a different note, did you know that the pro license in Germany only requires you to send out a form and pay 250 Euro? Meaning no quality / performance proof needed. Anyway... best of luck with your season! Glad to see another UK triathlete here on youtube ;)
Hi Dan, I’m all honesty I think the first 10 miles was terrible with the road surface and think they really should have utilised different roads. However, after the first 10 miles I got into a decent rhythm but potentially pushed too hard and found in the last 20 miles or so my legs were pretty dead. That’s interesting, I know that different nations have different rules but does seem a bit strange that they are so different. But I guess you just have to deal with what you have and get on with it haha. Thanks for the kind words though and hopefully you have a great rest of your season 🙂
Totally agree, I really couldn’t get my avg up at all and was constantly stuck behind slower riders in the tight lanes and breaking a lot on so many twists.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! 👏👏👏
Excellent video and commentary is equally best.. keep going keep the simplicity
