Find out the answer to this frequently asked question within this video.
Here is a video where we briefly go over a few points to think about, and questions that you should ask yourself to make sure that you are well equipped to answer this common bow shape conundrum. To summarise the main points of the video:

Which bow is better for making hard slaps?
Hi. I play in midfield mostly, at a fairly low standard of hockey (midlands div 7). I like to throw the occasional aerial and really want to improve my reverse hit, and my dribbling ability. Is there any reason why a low bow would be a bad idea?
No, to us it sounds like a great idea to change to a Low Bow, as it will certainly help with all of the skills that you mentioned. Thanks for the questions.
Hi Alan, best is to try a low bow (it's gonna be quite awkward at the start, but persist) and see if after a while you can see potential for a swap to low bow. Personally, I tried but stuck to MB😉
How many grams does it weigh?

What should be suitable for defenders?
It depends how you play not what position you play. Do you drag-flick, try 3D skills, reverse hit, shoot high at goal or perform aerial passes often?
If so a low bow will make these skills easier, so we would suggest a low bow.
