Thanks, a good analysis. Your channel deserves more subscribers. Le Bris had been in post for less than 3 weeks when this game was played. That being so I think the extent to which the squad have taken his ideas on board is quite encouraging. Yes, plenty of mistakes, but it’s clear they mostly know what they’re supposed to be doing, and there’s almost another three weeks to go before the season starts. I very much like what we’re trying to do out of possession, with the wingers coming narrow. Last year the centre of our midfield had a population density roughly the same as Alaska. Now all we have to do is remember to track the runners.
I agree. Sound progress and good to see Le Bris has a clear vision. As for Subscribers, I think I provide insight and teach a little about football over the vids, so it should appeal to some beyond Sunderland, but people like different things. All I can do is keep trying to make it as high quality as I'm able and hopefully people will find it. Thank you for your kind words and support though. Let's me know I am doing the right thing and should keep doing it.
Another fantastic analysis by the Mackem Morgan Freeman! I think it showed in the shields match how valuable Auchiche can be in Le Bris tactics as mayenda enjoyed having someone picking out his runs a lot more in that match. It's a shame I won't see another analysis for a while but hope you enjoy your holiday and have a lot of good things to analyse by the time your back 🙏🏻
That's a new description, but I'll happily take that one. Thank you so much to taking the time to write such a generous comment. Thanks also for the twitter reposts. It makes a world of difference to know the enormous effort involved is liked by people, so thank you.And fingers crossed...I just hope Regis gets off to a good start.
@@altending my absolute pleasure mate I've been a big fan since you're very first video! Tbh last year I probably preferred your balanced analysis of games more than the games themselves 😅 keep up the great work
St Pauli is in Hamburg, Germany my friend! Love the video. I really enjoyed how we set up different styles with each game. Le Bris' style of play is really evident, and suits many of our players profiles.
Did I say Austria? Well they used to be the same country...Idiot me. I also called Yates - Jerry (The ex-Swansea one)...instead of Ryan. Ah well, mortal errors and lack of time. Still, I'm glad you liked the video. And thanks for taking the time to drop the comment. Back in a few weeks.
Reggie appears to have implemented more tactics and ideas to the team in 3ish weeks, than the Doddfather did in 8 months. As you say, early days, still very rusty, but over time playing together, improving, and gaining fitness we should get better. Always a good morning when I wake up here in Australia to a notification that Trenchy has posted a new video
What a wonderful message that was to read. Thank you, glad I an keep you up to date and entertained. It's like a little Match of the Day just for Sunderland isn't it? Yes, Regis looks like he has a clear plan. Fingers crossed he gets off to a good start. I thought that Forest game was a good showing for only three weeks of training to a new system.
Top video again and really enjoyable analysis. Thought there goal was because O'Nien dived in and was too easy to get away from. He does that too often and Le Bris should tell him we can't always win the ball in those positions so just block off the pass.In my thinking that's more an individual error than a system one.
Yes, There's a series of problems with the goal, and the stuff I highlighted before about the centre halves and Midfielders in terms of who takes the runner or not play into this as well. But it's pre-season so I'm not going to be too hard on them learning a new system. It does show that they have to rely on each other to at correctly though. Thanks for taking the time to drop a positive comment, I really do appreciate it. And the notes and thoughts all feed into the things I look at so keep them coming too.
One thing I hope changes under le Bris is having all of our players in our box when defending corners. Because we leave no players further up the pitch we can’t counter attack or keep the ball if we clear the ball away. By leaving let’s say 2 players up the pitch, the opposition have to leave at least 2 more men back, then our box isn’t as congested. For example I don’t see the point in roberts being back to defend, especially when he has the ability to run with the ball and counter attack.
I think Le Bris said something the other day about having or wanting a set piece coach, so let's hope we get some planning and training into things, lord knows our set pieces last season were appalling. Thanks for taking the time to write a comment, I do appreciate it and glad you liked the vid.
Great analysis of the game and video mate 😃, I will definitely be tuning in to your videos this season. Let’s just hope thats its a better one than last 😂🔴⚪️
Brilliant analysis, great to see we are adopting a style of play. Only concern for me is whether the players have enough quality and ability to make this work, however it is early days, so this tactic will get repeated on the training ground. Keep it up Alt 👍
@@altending like I always say the most informative videos possible you really could land yourself a job. you see so much other people don't see and take so much time to deliver.
I don't think he minds one more year if it comes to that, but if someone is prepared to pay $25 mill or more then he'll be sold. Will go down to the wire and then someone like Palace or Ipswich will panic and cough up. Might even start a bidding war.
If that’s our starting 11 at the start of the season it’s going to be a long season. We need to upgrade on O’Nien and Roberts, and up front. Signing more squad players is a waste of time.
The only channel I have notifications on for
Gerrin Sir. A lot of effort goes into them, hopefully always worth the time for you.

Early days for RLB's teachings but some positive signs we actually have a system emerging from the ether.
Yes a clear system of play. Dan Neil's creativity suffers for it and he does seem quite rigid, but let's see how it all goes.
Thanks again....
