I prefer Gmini since It's cheaper to place and is good in (most) game modes. You also have to take into account that Gmini costs less to upgrade meaning that it won't have as much DPS as accel, however both are still solid DPS towers especially for fallen runs solo or not.
if everyone brings it your actually placing more then the cap of 40. I'm pretty sure its 80 which mean you're practically doubling your DPS (excluding supports + farms) but yes that is a fair point because if only you bring it then the DPS won't be as much per say in solo or duo.@@Chaseleep
I believe a way of balancing hardcore towers like accelerator is by giving them a unique ability each at max level. This adds to the uniqueness of hardcore towers and can create new playstyles. Likewise, accel could get an overcharge ability where when activated causes the accelerator to charge a very powerful attack and store it. The player could press the charged ability (indicated by an electricity icon) and release an extremely powerful attack. This could either be a large splash attack that leaves an electrified part of the path temporarily or a beam that can do chain damage. Or it could simply be an increase to the max charge maybe temporarily doubling it to 6000 and increasing the damage to 100. These were just some simple ideas I came up with on the fly, overall I think accelerator could benefit with an aoe ability to deal with crowds better. Either way, I think that hc towers could be improved upon being given a unique ability at max level.
And as for engineer, I believe it could have some kind of sentry boost. Where the engineer tower matches its best unlocked sentry. So now it’s with the dos of 4 sentries.

They each got pros and cons but it really depends on situations if solo GM is better or maps with huge space and also it is spam tower for example towers with limits go with g mini
The way Golden Mini and Accelerator both work depends on the situation you're in. I would personally bring Gold Mini in a solo because if anything passes through it will at least be able to kill anything that passes since it doesn't have accels targeting and it still has strong DPS. If you're doing duos, trios, or squads then it's always gonna be accelerator as your go to 100% because there will always be enough defense for anything that passes through, and accelerator can still focus on the big strong stuff. They're both good either way.
Tbh Gold mini is good for solo fallen on mid to lategame Accel is the lategame tower you use it everywhere events, costume gamemodes and normal gamemodes

golden mini's price to dps ratio is worse than accel's but there is no placement limit. as gmini has less range, in maps that have less space/events you need to macro it more, but with accel ya just plonk them down and just chain commander. with gmini, its more stressful and requires more strategic planning.

I personally would pick accel over gold mini, without commander accel still has a solid preformance but let’s be real every player should have commander in their loadout, and considering one accel can solo molten and one mini can’t. But mini is cheaper, also better targeting, although 8 accels is cheaper and I did some math, 1 accel is 4 g minis with commander and 4 g minis is more expensive so 8 accels = 32 g minis and 8 accels is cheaper than 32 minis and better dps per cost ratio, because accel has a smaller placement limit you have have some supports and sub dps which makes accel more reliable but g mini needs multiple to be good (no hate for mini but I prefer accel in most situations)

32g mini is not equal to 8 accel. if you did the dps without including the charge up time and cooldown its a little over 3.57 g mini. after including charge up and cooldown its ~2.21. this means it's closer to 17-18 g mini. that almost 1/2 as much as you said. also the cost efficacy is worse on accel from level 2-5 then g mini level 2-4
The thing about comparing those towers is,getting accel is 2 times faster than g mini,and only if you have g scout to speedrun molten solo under 13 minutes(with accel) it still takes 19 hours to get one g crate from 0 coins while getting accel takes around 12 hours with losing at 22 wave

I think that accelerator is better in most situations especially with more players. Golden mini has no placement limit which makes it great if you have the money and tower limit to use it, but by the time you start to have higher dps with the golden minis’, accelerator will be cheaper at that point. However, accelerator requires additional towers since its targetting is very bad, so mini has an edge in that category. Both towers are good however I find accelerator more viable with more players, on harder modes, and especially for speedrunning imo. Also golden minigunner plus accelerator is also a powerful combo to use if you have the money.

Accelerator is better for trio or quads and golden mini is better or solo or duo. If you can pair them up, you get like the most dps possible with the golden mini negating the accelerator's placement limit of 8 and semi unreliable targeting and the accel doing the dps
Just to say in solo with all 3 commanders and DJ u can only place 36 g minis all maxed which does a total of like 7.2k dps while accel can only do around half that which is 3.6k dps is why mini preformed a lot better and also mini doesn't need to charge and doesn't have a damage cap but as we get into duo mini is still better but in trio its quite fair quad though accel beats mini not by much though so golden mini is a lot better accel also has its annoying targeting that everyone knows about. So in my opinion g mini is way better than accelerator due to price, placement limit, reliability and dps.
I think Accel is good with towers like Pursuit or Engineer who can change targeting while also having high dps. I use Engi with Accel (plus supports and farms) to solo hardcore and i do really well. Golden Mini can change targeting but when it does, a lot of focus damage gets off of the original target. Golden Mini is hard to micro effectively while Accel can micro easily and effectively. I think Accel wins overall.
no, you are forgetting about the charge up, not to mention the price to place pursuit and engineer and to upgrade them. along with that pursuits targeting locks on just like accel and accel lets enemies get past. engineer sucks until the last upgrade. also, the sentries dont have hidden detection.
tbh, that wasn't really a fair comparison because you didn't directly compare them in terms of dps, range, placement, solo capabilities, multiplayer capabilities and pretty much just played 1 game with mini and 1 game with accel and gave a pretty vague conclusion and also you chose an old map which doesn't show how they perform on 90% of maps in the game. i would defo say golden minigunner is better, heres why: golden minigunner is heavily affected by commanders buff unlike accelerator and its quite cheap for its high dps. Golden minigunner is also a lot more reliable because of no recharge and the constant damage is just a lot better. It has no placement limit so the dps adds up to more than accelerator in the end, and even when trio'ing its good because it can be used as extra dps and golden minigunner doesnt have accelerators stupid targeting.
Cost Efficiency becomes less important the more "Late game" the tower is, Yes level 5 accel isnt as Cost Effecient as Multipul Level 3's but multipul levels 3's arnt killing the amalgamation are they?
Accel is situationally way better than mini. For example: if you only have accel in the krampus event. You will die to evil elves. Kramp has just too much hp, stuns too much, and the lock on feature is the downfall of accelerator. With golden minigunner you will take longer but eventually you will kill krampus. So, if you want to shred a boss. Use a combination of gmini and accel. They are both extremley op but you CANNOT say that one is better than the other. Its the same like saying that engi is trash and accel is way better. Its not. Sometimes engi IS better than accel. But sometimes accel is better than engi. You cannot say that one tower is supreme and is way better than any other tower in the entire game. Even admin tower need some legit towers to be strong. Comparing only the dps and ignoring the lockon feature, overload, stun immunity, range, price etc. Is completley inappropriate. You would need hundreds upon hundreds of games with each tower to have a small idea of what is generally better. Both accel and mini are good. Hell even normal mini CAN be better than golden mini.
there are so little areas where engi is better than accel that you might as well not have included that. cost efficiency is probably what everyone uses along with dps to determine the strength of the tower.
even though its not related to this topic, a way to have better ratio for farming is by stopping at level 3 to defend, or just wait to skip to level 5 because level 4 is not a really good use of money

People always assume that Gmini is better for solo but I think accel is better i all modes/situations. You can place down 40 gminis which is only useful in PW2 and Badlands (And hardcore). 40 gminis in solo molten/fallen is nearly impossible.

A max commander only give 10% extra firerate buff (compared to a lvl2) for around 11600 extra cash (with DJ) so maybe he thought a max commander wasnt necessary
It’s simple: Lvl 3-4 Commander simply increases the “Passive Firerate” of towers and not from “Call to Arms” ability. So unless you need the extra range (or damage, if you think 5 extra dps is going to do anything) then there’s simply no reason to buy more than one.
I like Accelerator more. It's heavier price and charge/cooldown are out-weighed by the crazy amounts of DPS. Sure, 40 Golden Minigunners do more DPS than 8 Accelerators, but that is if you GET 40 G. Minis- and you are gonna want support, like DJ or Commander, maybe other things. Also, one max Accelerator has around 2.5x the DPS of one max Golden Minigunner. Also, I have to say- You have to beat Hardcore Mode around 8-9 times to get Accelerator, which is around 320-360 minutes, aka around 5-6 hours. Golden Minigunner requires 50 thousand coins, and the best way to get a G. Crate is Pizza Party. You get around 1000 coins per win. A G. Crate costs 50 thousand. That means, you'd have to beat Pizza Party around 50 TIMES! THAT'S 650 MINUTES, OR 10 HOURS! AND ALSO, HAVE YOU CONSIDERED THE FACT YOU MIGHT GET ANOTHER GOLDEN SKIN?! THEN YOU'D HAVE TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN! And that means, to get all 6 Golden Skins, WOULD TAKE 60 HOURS! THAT IS 30 TIMES MORE THAN ACCELERATOR! So yeah I'm done rambling.

I mainly like to use both, since golden minigunner. takes over for a while accelerator is recharging.

Golden minigunner is my favourite out of those, the placement limit is the difference maker
I personally would pick accel over gold mini, without commander accel still has a solid preformance but let’s be real every player should have commander in their loadout, and considering one accel can solo molten and one mini can’t. But mini is cheaper, also better targeting, although 8 accels is cheaper and I did some math, 1 accel is 4 g minis with commander and 4 g minis is more expensive so 8 accels = 32 g minis and 8 accels is cheaper than 32 minis and better dps per cost ratio, because accel has a smaller placement limit you have have some supports and sub dps which makes accel more reliable but g mini needs multiple to be good (no hate for mini but I prefer accel in most situations)

g mini does sooo much better in everything bro... ofc u need a lot there no placement limit but they are cheap and dont have the worst targeting in the game and they dont have a fuel tank that runs out
32g mini is not equal to 8 accel. if you did the dps without including the charge up time and cooldown its a little over 3.57 g mini. after including charge up and cooldown its ~2.21. this means it's closer to 17-18 g mini. that almost 1/2 as much as you said. also the cost efficacy is worse on accel from level 2-5 then g mini level 2-4

The thing about comparing those towers is,getting accel is 2 times faster than g mini,and only if you have g scout to speedrun molten solo under 13 minutes(with accel) it still takes 19 hours to get one g crate from 0 coins while getting accel takes around 12 hours with losing at 22 wave

You only need cowboy for early game if you have max farms just sell all cowboys and spam max accels 8 max farms are enough to max out your defence before wave 40

I think that accelerator is better in most situations especially with more players. Golden mini has no placement limit which makes it great if you have the money and tower limit to use it, but by the time you start to have higher dps with the golden minis’, accelerator will be cheaper at that point. However, accelerator requires additional towers since its targetting is very bad, so mini has an edge in that category. Both towers are good however I find accelerator more viable with more players, on harder modes, and especially for speedrunning imo. Also golden minigunner plus accelerator is also a powerful combo to use if you have the money.

I think (I just think) that you could win with the minis if you maxed the commanders, they were able to make the minigunners shoot faster and kill the fallen king if it had like how little it had, like 8.000 HP, also the commanders had more range so… Anyways you get the point.😅

I prefer using them together as the accelerator locks onto a enemy until dead, which means faster enemies can easily kill you, but minigunner has lower dps so using them together is the best😊
I’d say accel is better if you want straight insane dps, but golden mini is better if you want more reliable dps, cause it doesn’t have to “charge up” like accel does and doesn’t have the targeting issue accel does

Accelerator is better for trio or quads and golden mini is better or solo or duo. If you can pair them up, you get like the most dps possible with the golden mini negating the accelerator's placement limit of 8 and semi unreliable targeting and the accel doing the dps
Just to say in solo with all 3 commanders and DJ u can only place 36 g minis all maxed which does a total of like 7.2k dps while accel can only do around half that which is 3.6k dps is why mini preformed a lot better and also mini doesn't need to charge and doesn't have a damage cap but as we get into duo mini is still better but in trio its quite fair quad though accel beats mini not by much though so golden mini is a lot better accel also has its annoying targeting that everyone knows about. So in my opinion g mini is way better than accelerator due to price, placement limit, reliability and dps.

I think Accel is good with towers like Pursuit or Engineer who can change targeting while also having high dps. I use Engi with Accel (plus supports and farms) to solo hardcore and i do really well. Golden Mini can change targeting but when it does, a lot of focus damage gets off of the original target. Golden Mini is hard to micro effectively while Accel can micro easily and effectively. I think Accel wins overall.
no, you are forgetting about the charge up, not to mention the price to place pursuit and engineer and to upgrade them. along with that pursuits targeting locks on just like accel and accel lets enemies get past. engineer sucks until the last upgrade. also, the sentries dont have hidden detection.
tbh, that wasn't really a fair comparison because you didn't directly compare them in terms of dps, range, placement, solo capabilities, multiplayer capabilities and pretty much just played 1 game with mini and 1 game with accel and gave a pretty vague conclusion and also you chose an old map which doesn't show how they perform on 90% of maps in the game. No hate but i feel like I didn't get any relevant info on which one is actually better in different situations
once, in a polluted wastelands game we had all accels in late game but no other towers like engineer, we had supports and stuff but accels STUPID TARGETTING MADE US LOSE WHEN NUCLEAR M\ONSTER HAD 2K HEALTH he summoned a shadow boss
i would defo say golden minigunner is better, heres why: golden minigunner is heavily affected by commanders buff unlike accelerator and its quite cheap for its high dps. Golden minigunner is also a lot more reliable because of no recharge and the constant damage is just a lot better. It has no placement limit so the dps adds up to more than accelerator in the end, and even when trio'ing its good because it can be used as extra dps and golden minigunner doesnt have accelerators stupid targeting.
Cost Efficiency becomes less important the more "Late game" the tower is, Yes level 5 accel isnt as Cost Effecient as Multipul Level 3's but multipul levels 3's arnt killing the amalgamation are they?

Try Accel, Gold Scout, Commander, DJ, and Farm on Wrecked Battlefield fallen. It works.
Accel is situationally way better than mini. For example: if you only have accel in the krampus event. You will die to evil elves. Kramp has just too much hp, stuns too much, and the lock on feature is the downfall of accelerator. With golden minigunner you will take longer but eventually you will kill krampus. So, if you want to shred a boss. Use a combination of gmini and accel. They are both extremley op but you CANNOT say that one is better than the other. Its the same like saying that engi is trash and accel is way better. Its not. Sometimes engi IS better than accel. But sometimes accel is better than engi. You cannot say that one tower is supreme and is way better than any other tower in the entire game. Even admin tower need some legit towers to be strong. Comparing only the dps and ignoring the lockon feature, overload, stun immunity, range, price etc. Is completley inappropriate. You would need hundreds upon hundreds of games with each tower to have a small idea of what is generally better. Both accel and mini are good. Hell even normal mini CAN be better than golden mini.
there are so little areas where engi is better than accel that you might as well not have included that. cost efficiency is probably what everyone uses along with dps to determine the strength of the tower.

Golden Mini Is Good, But Not Great In Quad. Accel Is Good, But Not Great In Solo, Since You Can Only Place About 8 And Having A Tower That You Can Spam (Like The Golden Mini) Is Great For Solo Since You Can Spam It And Get More Dps Out Of It.
But Overall? Just Use Accel. Just Use Other Towers With Accel Because I Don't Think You Would Wanna Spam 40 g minis lol.

use accel in multiplayer. use mini in solo or duo (duo in spacious maps) as it takes up too much space and is worse in midgame.
For soloing things like molten i found that accel works better and faster than g mini, But g mini is more useful in multiplayer and events

I prefer accelerator, i mostly play quads and duos, in duo polluted i can just put 8 accels, 6 rangers/8 jesters, 3 commanders 1 dj and then spam golden cowboy, duo pizza party? i can just put 8 max accels and invest all into gladiators/mortars, once you have enough accelerators his dps will not look inconsistent, my golden minigunner experience outside solos was very underwhelming due to the amount of space golden mini takes, accel is way more compact.

People always assume that Gmini is better for solo but I think accel is better i all modes/situations. You can place down 40 gminis which is only useful in PW2 and Badlands (And hardcore). 40 gminis in solo molten/fallen is nearly impossible.

He placed both towers in shitty places/shitty placements and thats why he died to the fallen king, i wouldve placed them more to the back so the other things like fallens or Fallen guardians wouldnt even be a problem and he also picked some if the worst towers for backup, he didnt even max all cowboys and instead left the Accells and Golden mini's in their place without selling and replacing them thinkong they could just solo the fallen king

Out of curiosity, when you have max placement limit with the minis and lots of money to spare, why didn’t you upgrade the commanders?
A max commander only give 10% extra firerate buff (compared to a lvl2) for around 11600 extra cash (with DJ) so maybe he thought a max commander wasnt necessary

It’s simple:
Lvl 3-4 Commander simply increases the “Passive Firerate” of towers and not from “Call to Arms” ability.
So unless you need the extra range (or damage, if you think 5 extra dps is going to do anything) then there’s simply no reason to buy more than one.

I like Accelerator more. It's heavier price and charge/cooldown are out-weighed by the crazy amounts of DPS. Sure, 40 Golden Minigunners do more DPS than 8 Accelerators, but that is if you GET 40 G. Minis- and you are gonna want support, like DJ or Commander, maybe other things. Also, one max Accelerator has around 2.5x the DPS of one max Golden Minigunner. Also, I have to say- You have to beat Hardcore Mode around 8-9 times to get Accelerator, which is around 320-360 minutes, aka around 5-6 hours. Golden Minigunner requires 50 thousand coins, and the best way to get a G. Crate is Pizza Party. You get around 1000 coins per win. A G. Crate costs 50 thousand. That means, you'd have to beat Pizza Party around 50 TIMES! THAT'S 650 MINUTES, OR 10 HOURS! AND ALSO, HAVE YOU CONSIDERED THE FACT YOU MIGHT GET ANOTHER GOLDEN SKIN?! THEN YOU'D HAVE TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN! And that means, to get all 6 Golden Skins, WOULD TAKE 60 HOURS! THAT IS 30 TIMES MORE THAN ACCELERATOR! So yeah I'm done rambling.
