As a Warriors fan, it was challenging to watch JP’s many blunders. What makes Steph so elite is that he is a student of the game, unselfish, and has an elite training regimen. He definitely helped the Dubs win their last chip but he should be thanking them. They got him a ring and a huge payday. It’s a shame. His first two years, he was great. Got better and better. Kept grinding. Going from team, to g league, back to team. Then, third year comes, he’s explosive. Plays good with Steph together starting, then faded once Klay came back. The Steph got hurt, he turned up again. At this brief moment, his head was getting bigger and bigger from his big play. Came out hot in the first round against the Nuggets, while Steph came off the bench. But then faded and faded as the Warriors kept advancing.
Then they win the chip, his head gets bigger.
Then they gave him the huge contract, which they kinda had to, or they lose him of nothing, and his head got even bigger.
Then Draymond put a end to that shit and he’s never been the same. The end. He’ll be out the league in 6 years. Or barely hanging around.

The hard thing to watch with Jordan Poole as a Wizards fan is it feels like he thinks he is entitled. It looks like in his head he thinks "Great scorers get to take some possessions off on defense, so I will take some possessions off on defense." or "Great shooters take this shot, so I will take this shot". He seems like he is looking all around and patterning his behavior off of what he sees others do instead of figuring out what he can do to lead to wins.
This is why I don't have as big of a problem with Kyle Kuzma. Kuz still has his share of bonehead moments and his share of mental lapses, but it always feels like it comes from a genuine place of wanting to compete, win, and be better than his opponent. He plays with a massive chip on his shoulder and seems to be trying to maximize himself. Jordan Poole feels like he is trying to be someone else entirely.

I’d be interested to see what the local media thinks of him. I agree with all the comments others made, which rightly focused on his play on the court. I learned a lot about who he was over the years by watching post game interviews. He was consistently rude to media. He never looked at them when they began to ask questions; couldn’t be bothered. And he never once, not once, owned up to any of his poor performances, bad decisions, egregious unforced errors. Nothing.
Steph calls himself out, Klay, Draymond, all of them do. He was asked toward the end of the season whether he was working out or would do so in the Summer, to get stronger. He derisively responded something like: am I football player? No. I don’t need to work out. I do wish him well. A young man can grow out of immaturity. Not so sure though, that you can can grow out of egotism and selfishness.

I started off this season hopeful that he was going to ball out this season… only to see him get exposed even further. This could potentially be one of his last good contracts… he better save all of that money toward his future.
I guess he may just actually be a bad basketball player that was an even greater beneficiary of the GSW system that previously thought. All of the space Steph and Klay provide made him look like a caliber of player which he wasn’t.
He could see his last year getting bought out on a tanking team willing to take the hit to their cap space… which a tanking team wouldn’t mind doing to get rid of a toxic player earlier. JP is regressing… unfortunately.
