This was a really good scene. It gave more insight into Louis background and really showed how much he loved this woman, believing they are meant for each other. Also creating more of a connection between him and August.
i cant believe this scene was cut,,in my opinion the character Lewis as August's father is kinda underdeveloped,,this scene shows a perfect connection of father and son,,they should have left this bit in the movie
"Do you not know where you came from?" "I've always known where I came from. Now I know where I'm going." That there is the deepest movie line I have heard for a long time. It's a pity this scene didn't make it into the film, because I think it is the best scene in the whole movie.
Now this really pisses me off that they LEFT THIS SCENE OUT. I don't know about you but I see a connection with the words Jonathan says and what August Rush always said in the Orphanage. August was made fun of because he always said that: "I know my parents are out there . . . I can hear them and I'll find them" thru their music of course. Then Jonathan says: "I always wanted someone out there to hear me, listen to me and she did". August and his father were of LIKE MIND yet this was cut?
Love that scene. When I saw it in the special features section after watching the movie I remember thinking that it was important to the movie and shouldn't have been cut. The more JRM in the movie the better anyway, yeah.(: Brilliant.
no kidding... I loved a girl for 17 years...I don't want to let her go. I believe that I can make my own dreams come true...simply because of this. I want my dream to come true. the princess doesn't need a prince...she needs the one who loves who truly...
I'm an avid fan of Jonathan Rhys Meyers aka "Jonny". I love the fact that in this picture he actually used his Irish accent. The discovery of "America, the Light Bulb, Electricity, the Airplane, the Automobile, the Microwave, our Medicines, Television, the Internet, UA-cam, MySpace, Twitter, Facebook, etc." were all dreams. Immigrants came to America because they had dreams; Dr. Martin Luther King also had a Dream; America was created for DREAMERS. All come here to forfill their dreams.
They should have shorten some of the scene with Wizard and the kids. And included this scene. I think director wanted to focus on August and not the parents. But this scene would have added more depth to Louis’ character and his relationship with Lyla. It would have explained their reunion scene where Louis realised that August was his son - ie how much Lyla loved him. That he was wrong to give up on their relationship because of his friend’s cynical advice. And this time he chose to disregard the same friend’s advise - to trust her love for him. That is why he cried as her looked at her staring desperately at their son then walked up to her and held her hand. Cos she needed him.
I can't believe I'm saying this but a little more family unit time and a little less Robin Williams and wow .Why didn't the social worker Rush the stage at the end and explain to the crowd what was going on Or anything close to it.Three more minutes of filming and this would have been huge.
Creo que si esa escena la hubieran tomado sería cuando Louis decide irse a Chicago a buscar a Lyla y se desilusiona cuando le dicen erróneamente que se casó

i agree
this scene is interesting! it gives hints that louis might know he has a son!! they shouldn't have deleted it.

"What if she needs me?" wuuuuuuaaaaaaa I wants a men like him.....of course she needs him

the thing that makes this movie great is that there is hope..may be everything will be ok..may be

Wow they cut this scene? Looks like a very important piece.
Correct! Really bad decision from the director to cut this scene!

its a scene there should be cuzz there he says that he can hear it 2 =)
Was there a deleted scene with Louis and Lyla, a reunion scene?
Fuck it’s the dude from that very short lived vampire series Moonlight.
I can't believe I'm saying this but a little more family unit time and a little less Robin Williams and wow .Why didn't the social worker Rush the stage at the end and explain to the crowd what was going on Or anything close to it.Three more minutes of filming and this would have been huge.
Si alguien es tan amable de traducir esta escena se lo agradecería mucho .
Why did they delete this scene?!?!
Why? Why? Why? AHhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....
@amarettaludia Lyla and August thiink alike, too. =D
Necesito una escena eliminada con la familia reunida
is his accnt naturally that strong? or is he trying? cuz in an interveiw it wasnt nealy this strong
I'm glad this was left out. It adds nothing, and makes the film more ordinary.
