Brother I'm in Y13 right now, and I'm still learning content from Y12, I learn a bit vaguely, apply it a little bit. Which is awful, however I'm going over the content in depth, and it's overwhelming. I've got so much to cover before my Jan mocks, and it's not only learning the content, but applying it.
Hiya, hoping someone will reply but uhm.. my issue is that I worry I suck at A-Level physics a lot of the time, I am the only one in the class who did foundation and it freaks me out. I struggle understanding the content and I lack that confidence when answering questions. Partially due to the teaching ability of one of my teachers but still- this video has helped, it’s given me the motivation I need and your experience has also helped me realise I can succeed too. Ima work hard and focus on my studies, practicing and applying my knowledge to questions. Thank you 🙏🏻
Hi, I hope you're doing better! I know what you mean, it's so hard to remember and then apply it all, and in a short amount of time. It's so overwhelming. I need to apply my own advice which is, take it one step at a time, and you'l make it. Best of luck
Honestly, physics is super annoying sometimes, so many things will just be explained to you as, this works, but we dont know why, and no one else knows either
tysm for this advice! for practice, i am doing the pmt booklets but there are just sooo many of them like around 10 bootlets for each chapter and each booklet has around 50-80 pages. this will surely take up all my time right? do you think i should do all of these questions? these questions are from 2016-2022 so i would encounter them again when i do past papers closer to the exams. any advice is appreciated
Sure but issue is that the mark schemes in A level physics are fucking Illegible, they don’t show the step by step process on how to award makes, they just award indications of formulas and certain numerical configurations of said formulas. With numbers that are pulled out of AQA’s ass. It’s so nullshit and k can’t solve or get better at questions if I don’t have someone to walk me through why the answer is what it is. Marks schemes don’t so it, videos don’t align with the content and I have no money for a tutor, genuinely better off dead. I really want to do well but I fucking. Can’t.
This might help. Science Shorts has walkthroughs of all (I think) the AS and A level AQA past papers, and I find he explains the answers well, unlike the mark schemes which make no sense. Hate AQA. Hi! I haven't done O Level Physics but I'm fairly good at ol maths, so do you think I'll be able to take A level Physics with no prior knowledge on the subject? Thank you :)
Yes I think you would be ok, a lot of it is maths, high level maths at that! You will be at a disadvantage than other people who do have experience but use that as motivation to push harder
I am currently taking both ol math and physics and i can surely say they are really different from one another, yes for sure there are concepts that may be applicable in both subjects but overall i dont think they are the same in any aspect. Physics involves more critical thinking
" Other people in my class " .... in my class its only me who chose and wants to do physics , eventho it is pretty hard 😂😂🙈 , this is my first term in Edexcel AS and we just had first term exams and i did a full paper for unit 1 , got a C 🙈🙈 I'd say it wasn't bad considering i only got to revuis 2 past papers before the exam .... hope i can get through it insha Allah 😂❤️
Currently studying MacroPhysics at LSE, I sat my Physics A-level back in 2018 and your videos got me through it. Thank Shiggs.
Man alone gave more advice in 4 mins then anyother youtuber thanks for saving time and it was a great advice
1:45 I feel this so much, the kids I sit next to in class are practically uni level, it makes me feel like Im not good enough for physics.
"You're a Physicist and not a Note Artist" 😂
Thank you, this much better than the old video's audio quality
Glad you think so
Thank you bro, my physics mock is in 2 days , thanks so much for this im getting an A* now.
Inshallah
Genuinely excellent advice, has sorta cured my imposter syndrome actually

Very inspiring, thanks for the advice bro.
Well idk now the top grade is like A comes at 80-89% for 60% we'll get C
Thank you for this 👍

How did you write notes - would you bother, or just grab a textbook + practice ques.?
I had my first day of physics class today, I was so confused and I felt so overwhelmed 😭
I’m literally crying rn cause I’m getting such low scores in my exams and I’m nearly done with year 12

Id say do them and then when u encounter them again just skip them if u still remember them well. You’ll be thanking urself in the future

It gets better lil bro, I'm struggling too in Y13 right now don't give up
did you find a solution to this I'm struggling with finding questions with good solutions which align with the content
@@rory1487 Any luck?

what option is easiest is it turning points?
Astrophysics from what I heard. I took turning points tho
Did you make flash-cards for Maths/Further Maths?
just for stats topics that need it
Grade boundaries for physics in CIE are at 70% 😭😭
70% is an A?
@@DaveRammutla Around 70, yes
great advice from an 18 year old 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
is it better to do A level physics or A level maths
A level math opens a lot more doors. It rly depends on what u want in uni
@@shiggs33Thanks I was hoping to do something like architecture
@@danieltshiangala1885do both, doing a level physics and maths will help so much
