From what I read right after the release of the video, this was from demo tape from a welsh group. The company that it was sent to, lost the contact information and could not get back in touch with the group. It's incredibly short, because the company asked for short sample songs. I know that a world wide call went out for the group, but NO ONE ever responded! I wish some one could get in touch with the Welsh Board of Heritage and get them to make a call to all the folk groups there! Maybe then the world would have to wait no longer.

I can probably name 50 different occasions where Spartans/a Spartan fought fleets, armies and monsters completely alone.
ODST are badass, but holy fucknuggets you're wrong if you think they're more badass than Spartans. They went through ODST training on steriods.
golden eyeRA Spartans are created of people with extremely good genetics. Perfect for endurance, strenght and aggression. They started their training at 5-6. Even without their armor and steriods, they're still more intelligent, faster and stronger than their ODST counterparts.
And even being superhumans, a good chunk of the children died during their enhancements. Not a single ODST soldier would even survive these steriods.

Also you're wrong on the subject of morals and not really caring, Project Orion and Spartan 4's were former Spec Ops, Spartan 2's were indoctrinated into wanting to be the best (So that is their reason to fight.) . Spartan 3's were picked as orphans and given the option to be a Spartan to get back at the Covenant.Etc Etc... (Another reason.) They all had a reason to fight. So to answer your question, yes without a shadow of doubt Spartans would win hands down.
I tend to think this about a lot of mortal-badass soldiers v super-soldiers, at least in terms of sheer impressiveness and balls. The super-soldiers, ultimately, may get the job done where the mortal may not, but it takes a serious set of brass ones to go up against inhuman foes with just old-fashioned human grit.

I can't put my finger on it--what exactly, but it's the type of feeling you get when you're getting right back up after a blow, and you win over whatever you're struggling over. It's certainly a dark, powerful feeling. It almost makes you feel badass and draws you in. Perfect for tackling on homework lol. After many years, here I am returning to this song.

+ace touzin except the joints are nearly impossible to penetrate with the average assault rifle round, as stated in the books, the body suit itself is hella strong, and i feel like the connection being knocked out is a no no, game theory made a point but remember, they are super soldiers that can lift, and hit HARD, not to mention the suit amplifies their speed, strength and overall stamina. not even another spartan IV was able to combat master chief, as his combat experience is ALSO greater then most :P

On the first command, it is Attention, not ten hut. Ten hut is rarely used, if ever, or at least from my experience. It's generally, Whatever size the unit is, or the unit in this case is probably honor guard, so I would guess it goes something like this "HONOR GUARD... ATTENTION! PRESENT... ARMS! READY... FIRE!" etc. Sorry for nitpicking xD just bugs me when people use Ten Hut instead of Attention xD

It's sad to say I've gone off Halo now. I barely had the will to finish Halo 4, if they made another ODST game thatd get me back into it.

I completely agree I remember being really pissed when I beat Halo 4, But then I took a minute to think about it and decided to go back and play some Combat Evolved and then it hit me, Halo 4 had an absolutely amazing campaign the only problem was I was expecting a game like Halo 3 but the thing about Halo 3 was that Bungie had worked on Halo for years by that point my expectations were to high and I didn`t stop to think about how this was 343`s first attempt at a Halo game without Bungie. What I`m saying is 343 was still a newbie and you can`t expect their first game to be the equivalent of Bungie who is a seasoned veteran and defending champ when it comes to Halo games and Halo 4 only seems bad because it isn`t at the same level as we Halo fans are used to, and if you don`t believe me go back and play CE I think you`ll be pleasantly surprised by how similar the games are in terms of campaign quality.

As others have said it's Welsh but the cadence and syllable grouping is mangled almost to the point of incomprehensibility; probably to give it a more ominous, off-kilter feel. Normally patriotism bothers me since it’s at the expense of another nation or culture, but I love all the patriotic comments here. Although it’s fiction, it’s nice to see people being patriotic about just being a human fighting for humanity. Not for Murica or mother Russia, but for all people everywhere. The actual lyrics of this version were written specifically for ODST, they aren't the same as the original Lament. That's why they seem to so perfectly fit the ODSTs, such as "feet first into hell".
Both versions are Welsh, though the soldiers in the trailer speak Hungarian

So I’ve gotta bit of a story for everyone. I grew up on halo, and I was around 15 when ODST came out, and me and my friends would play this game and all of the other Halos every weekend. The amount of times we played them together and the LAN party’s, and the countless cosplaying, we become true friends with these games. So it comes to my senior year and I decided to get those guys together and all just hangout. We all started just hanging out, and all that and we started talking about halo, and around this time, it had been a few years since Reach had been out, and we missed doing all of it. Then I remembered seeing this video on UA-cam, and I went and grabbed my laptop and hooked it up to my speakers, and just played it with no context, and everyone’s faces then immediately looked like they had seen a ghost, my best friend Eric even started crying. If this story doesn’t give testimony to how large of an impact Halo has left on peoples lives, I don’t know what will.

I love halo. I just wished we got more ODST games. Being a super soldier child soldier is cool but ODST really nailed the fact that your not a super human with cutting edge ONI gear. Your a elite non augmented human. Brutes are difficult to deal with and hunters are an enemy best avoided if possible. You can't hail merry grenades across a battlefield.

Spartans are badass but you have to respect the bond that all helljumpers share. Spartans seem to be largely antisocial and sociopathic armored killing machines. In that way they are not much different from a Scorpion tank. But ODSTs? They have to work as a team, and by doing so they share a bond that lasts a lifetime. Personally, I'd be an ODST over Spartan any day of the week.

Comic Kazii But what happens when one of your team members dies? You and the rest of your team feel the impact. Spartans who operate mainly solo most likely won't be dragged down by this kind of thing.
I have a lot of respect for spartan 2's but mentally they aren't humans anymore. They show just as little emotion to a ally dying in battle as they would if they spilled some milk, and when you are at the point where you are closest to feel emotionally hurt is when your AI dies, you know you are no longer human in mind. ODST May be inferior, but at least they have humanity and morality left and fight those emotions when they try to drag Them down like all humans do
Magmakarp Grief is part of life and death. It's one of the things separating man from machine. I'd rather maintain my humanity than become a war machine.
