    I am 54 years old. I have 2 bus. Adm. Degrees from Penn State. I spent 30 sucessful years in retail MGMT peaking at 75k in 2016. Over 1 million stores have closed in the last decade, coupled with age discrimination. I have been making poverty level wages of 13k-22k since. 4 years. Im fed up because tje jobs now only pay $10 -$12 an hour and they are back breaking. I need a 9 month accelerated program with a high placement rate. I hope this is the answer I am looking for. Otherwise i will be forced to sell drugs

    This is really good stuff. Doesnt seem bias to me at all. Unfortunately, I got burnt out doing CCNA, so I'm going back doing A+.
    CONTEXT: I interviewed for an actual technical role within my current company and found there was a lot of knowledge that I didn't have (basic troubleshooting). A+ will allow me to get Help Desk role as my next step up from my current role. A+ will also increase my confidence in I.T. and continuing to study for CCNA. I've already paid for core 1 so might as well pay for core 2 to get at least ONE cert under my belt to make myself more marketable and fill in the gaps of my resume. Not only that, I actually enjoy learning A+ stuff. Since I already know a lot of material, I can get that cert within 2 months total.

    Hello I have been following you for some time and I feel that the way you teach is the right way (Watching from Sweden btw). I'm 21 years old and I have my CCNA not the new one though. I have not worked on anything that is IT related. I know what a router and a switch is and how the different protocols work, but I feel like something is missing, and I somehow don't feel confident enough to attack the market with good knowledge and not go in as a beginner. What do you think I should do??

    • @boombeatz27
      @boombeatz27 4 роки тому +1

      There will be something out there for beginners if they work at getting information.
      Be prepared by studying whatever material you can gwt your hands on. Do labs, or take free programming courses.
      You don't have to pay to get certain study tutors out in the UA-cam circles. There are good IT people who can see all the technical aspects for you and teach about concepts in network engineering.
      VERY USEFUL. Good luck.

    • @ChiefJustice
      @ChiefJustice 4 роки тому +5

      I'd recommend you take the new CCNA exam. The new material will bring you up to date on the new technologies, especially within the bounds of SDN.

      How is cyber security? I see a lot of ads for a place here in orlando. 1 year, live classes (not virtual)7 am - 1pm 4 days a week but it costs $20k. They make you do a 4 week mini class for $500. Before the whole thing and if u don't like they refund $250. As the drop out rate is extremely high. By the way i don't need 120k, as i have learned ro live on much less, but it does not allow for emergencies like a refrigerator needing replaced, or a new car, and I am not saving any money, I am also not saving towards retirement anymore. If I could make 120k after learning how to be so frugal, I could pack so much more away in savings and have a comfortable life instead of constantly looking for used items to replace broken items in my home or doing it myself when I have no idea what I'm doing such as replacing the plumbing. Does anyone know of a program that does not charge $20,000 for a year??? Or is this the price I must pay in order to get to the annual $120k?

Do a refresher and then study Network+ but get Security+ cert and CCNA cert? I'm not in a major rush to get a help desk job seeing it would be a pay cut from where I'm at.

  • @calebpaz8568

    So after CCNA cert, you can get a high-paying job even without experience? I was looking at jobs and they all require 3-5 years' experience. I am new to certs so please correct me if I am wrong. I am also 19 and was thinking about going to college for Computer Science or Computer engineering.
