In Australia| A Gondola ride: and we visit Dromana beach
In my younger years I went to university. I studied to become a teacher. During that time I made some lovely friends. They too scattered hither and yon. Today I catch up with my dear friend Cornelia. We had a blast. A day to remember. It all started with a train ride from Yarragon to Pakenham and ended up having caught up on both our lives with long chats. Enjoy our playing tourist time while we visited a popular Gondola attraction at Arthur's Seat Eagle and walked the beach at Dromana, along the Mornington Peninsula. Thanks Cornelia for making this day unforgettable.

WOWOW Anita, such a nice ride, at first I thought you were in Venice on a gondola 😆 this was an awesome ride high above it all...with such gorgeous views and so nice to share them with a friend...the beach looked so inviting, by the sketchers in the sand and the lovely cabana cottages were beautiful.....Cornelia is awesome to drive you back, I would have done the same, thats what friends are for! Yes this is just one of those things, flipflops, jandels or thongs! What's in a name? The ride up could have lasted longer 🤣 so beautiful. The company was second to none. We hadn't seen each other for quite some years. A great catch up. The cottages were a treat. Yes, Sketchers the best way to spoil one's feet 🤣! The drive back was icing on the cake. Indeed, a fast flash from the train window is all you got haha. No, It wasn't a ong ride but thought it fun to film- so different from my Dutch countryside. What's an 'oily bottle opener'??
The gondola attendant saying 'The ride stops or slows-nothing to worry about.' made me REALLY worried. 😲It's hard to see the view when you have your eyes tightly closed. After getting off the gondolas I'm like the Pope and kiss the ground.
12:40. Was that the invisible man at the seaside? 12:51. The painting of Jaws on the cabin doesn't fill one with reassurance about paddling in the sea. (I don't do swimming).
All the roads seem to be brand new. Where are all the potholes??

Interesting how the Australian stations are very old fashioned (apart from the ticketing machines) but the trains are so modern - unlike the UK where the trains are usually antiques. The cable car /gondola gave some fantastic views over the bay. The beach looked great too.
Not all stations are in original state Andy. This one is preserved and now used as an Art Gallery. The last time I was on a train there though, things weren't as comfy 🤣. Years and years ago. The cable car ride was awesome as was the beach visit. A day to remember. Enjoy the weekend Andy. 😎👌🙋♀🦘
Some people can sleep on trains but I always enjoy watching the landscape go by. The gondola ride looked really nice and thr views were amazing! Glad the sun came out and that you were able to catch up with your friend. Hope you have a great day, Anita!

the view from the train couldn't get any more Australian. the cable cars are good because they let the fresh air in, the ones ive been in are all closed up like boxes and can get hot! my question is did you end up becoming a teacher or not?

What q gr at day out Anita! I suddenly realised Dromana beach is near where a friend has a bach when i saw your map. She lives in Melbourne but has a place in Rye. I think they plan to live there permanently once they retire.

Houses there have a lot of space in the garden and that’s really nice. I also love taking the gondola up to high places. In Switzerland they call it cable cars. Sceneries from the top are always best ❤❤❤
