Back in the day Dad and I replaced our E gleaner with a 300 Massey used it for years then I replaced it with a 750 Massey ours had the slant 6 industrial plenty of power for that size machine. Your viewer from Iowa
Hello nice combine i saw your other video it runs great. The fast forward parts of this video not so good in my opinion but still enjoyed your video. Have a great day.
Must have been an estate sale? looks like there would be some treasures hiding in those shed out there. Ive got family friends with a ranch out by Ainsworth, talk about a way out in the middle of nowhere. It's extremely cool though nonetheless. glad you got it loaded and hauled out!
They actually sold all the ground and about a two dozen pieces of machinery at an auction in town. They sold the combine wear it sat at the ranch. I bought a MF 180 tractor too. Should’ve bought an Oliver 1800 too.
I’d say about 4 years later my father bought a 760 Massey with a 24 ft grain table on it for 21000 dollars and 3 old 55 jd combines, the kids were leaving, it out cut the 55’s and a 95 so easily all combines had air conditioners then
Dude how does one even find something like that??? That dirt road is insane. Is that typical? Why live that far off the road? That can’t be rational or logical. That’s just crazy
My grandfather had one somewhere in the 300 number, thought it was a 330 but doubt that. Sixty years ago, no cab and probably 4 to 500 acres a year of milo, must have been cheap when he bought it, because everything else was deere. The poor guy that had to run it would baby powdered up real good before starting. I preferred a non cab tractor in my youth and still do. Don't buy a qubota they are b b q pits and will cook you, terrible tractors.
My dd had two of those. He farmed 700 acres of grain with them when I was very young. Great little combines.
What an incredible find. Thanks for sharing the experience!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice recovery, worth the effort in my book. Thanks for the video.
That can out work the fendt 10t for sure no doubt about it that that massey can combine 100 more acres per day!!

I wanted this size so I could drive it on a trailer and take it to shows. Love the sound of that slant 6.
That is a good looking vintage machine. Be ideal for a small operation. Interesting trip out to the highway
Or a guy just trying to have some fun with older machinery.
Brings back memories
First combine l ever rode in
Was neighbors, he had Cane tires on it though
mudhole monster
Driven that road many a time. Thanks for the video. Makes me a little sad though
Was quite an experience. Can’t imagine it with snow on the ground.
That is one sweet little combine. I have never seen one of those. It would be great for a hobby farm
It’ll fit right on a trailer to go to the half century of progress show in Illinois.
That high flow dpf you got on that cummins sounds good lol
Special options.
I was going to ask what is up with it sounding like that because my 2012 only sounds like that with exhaust brake on
Good entertainment! Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
We use to have one. Not a bad combine. Just small
Small is the reason I wanted it.
Great video it’s a lovely combine they where very popular here in ireland when they came out I’ve never seen one with a cab
Pretty common to have cabs on anything built after 1970 here.
When I was driving truck hauling cows we used to haul cows out of ranches like that that was always fun.
We’ve bought cattle off a few ranches like that before.
What is the tank by the unloading auger? Auxiliary fuel tank?
Tank for the swamp cooler on the roof.
Powered by the leaning tower of power!
THEY ARE NICE COMBINES
My Massey 860 will make it look small.
My uncle has 4 of them takes that many to keep one running he use to farm 500ac with one
Parts supply
What engine does it have in it ?
225 slant 6 Chrysler.

awesome
Thanks!
I bet their is a demand for old bines like that for hobby farmers,
A good powerwash it will look decent.
I washed it last week. Looks a lot better.
I think that combine new was about $12,000.00
really?
Much less!

That would definitely be in the middle of nowhere in my mind haha. Looks like it was worth the trip!
Well worth it.
I wish I had a dollar for every piece of equipment the old guy has tied down to haul over the years. :)
You and me both.
Man u better have what u need way out there in the middle of know where!
That ranch is closer to a Walmart than where I live.
@@tmonteIH damn u in the middle of no where. where do u live?
@@jacobbuckley8232 Almena, KS
That is horrible noise first thing in the morning, cant take it.

Very common for the sandhills
Owner of the combine tipped me off about them having an auction. Pretty normal Sandhills cattle country.
If you are raising cattle, you need to live where the cattle are. In calving season, they need around the clock care and monitoring.
That’s God’s country! Lived my life like that, now retired in NC and miss the vastness of OK and TX.
It's a hell of a lot better than living in a city with ten million people.
