They also try to be relatable to the mainstream audience. In many movies we see characters using the millennial/Gen Z lingo, flossing/dabbing, being SJWs/feminazis etc.
Every year it's superhero movies and reboots
Puncher Sponge Exactly. 90% of the movies at the box office is either a sequel, remake, or comic book movie. It’s really sad. There are barely any original ideas anymore, and when we do get an original film, it either sucks or it tanks, so that puts emphasis on Hollywood not to take risks.
@@EDP2000 yeah, sometimes test audiences also can ruin a movie, because test audiences are dipshits
Puncher Sponge Just look at the original theatrical version of Blade Runner. The studio tacked on a narration and a happy ending because they thought audiences wouldn’t understand it. This is why Ridley Scott went back and re-edited the film to remove the narration and the happy ending. Now it’s considered one of the greatest sci-fi films of all time.
It’s all so tiresome
The rise of political-correctness and cancel culture are also to be blamed for the lack of creativity, originality, high-quality, and timelessness. Considering the fact that Hollywood is located in California and California is a liberal state. That's an even bigger problem with the entertainment industry today.
