Sometimes they move too slow and if you watch it on 2x not only do you cut to the chase faster but it allows you to watch more videos without wasting even more of your limited time on earth staring at things most people find repellent lol
i feel the same way about those crocs they used in this video. It seemed so much better than the croc forceps other audiologists use, as far as being able to grab something without it shearing off.

That looks just like a flat un sharpened blade! Surely not very safe if the patient moved suddenly! He just seems determined to “dig,prise it out whatever!” Look how inflamed the ear canal is anyway! Personally I think he was a bit rough, and could have. Caused more damage if patient had jumped …looks very sore poor person! Not my idea of audiology I’m afraid.

We are actually real ENT doctors that are treating real patients. Most guys making these kind of videos are audiologists. They cannot do much because they cant even prescribe medications.
I would hope there is some sort of sedation or numbing because this guy is scraping that took right across the canal where the skin is thinnest and right up in bone, extremely sensitive, to outright painful especially considering an active infection. Look how inflamed everything is! No care for the patient at all. Disgraceful.

@@travistucker3069 Some people don't have the time or money or ability to have their ears cleaned properly, some people want to do so but aren't taken seriously by their parents, their doctors etc., and some people just dont know the importance of it. Don't be so quick to judge.

I absolutely agree. I've had migraines, dry socket, an infection after an operation, a torn tendon, and none of them even came close to the ear infection I had a few years back. It was my first and only one, and the bloody thing burst my eardrum 😬
As an ENT surgeon, I dont really care much about what audiologist think about my work , because they always refer any case they cannot manage to me. So in the real world there are no rivalry here. Just a bunch of dudes trying to make the world better 😁
It's important to know the origine of the ear infection: bacteria based or fungi based. You can't treat a fungi infection with antibiotics. On the contrary, it just gets worse with antibiotics. Virusses (like flu and colds) don't get cured with antibiotics either.

@@bigredc222 The eardrum is still there it's just damaged (perforated). It will heal on its own. The patient just needs to take anti-biotics because it may be vulnerable to an infection as is the case in the video.

Nonsense Lori. People cleaning their ears out with cotton buds are responsible for a lot of business for ear doctors because cleaning incorrectly pushes the wax down further onto the ear drum.
Just once I’d like to see someone turn up the suction on that vacuum tube to supersonic to see how much of that folding smelly ear fungi would come flying out of that ear!
