I laughed, I chuckled.. I smiled. when it came to the bridge you both handled it well. when it came to to getting wet, Todd whined a LOT, but actually did very well! congrats. Keep in mind, there are thousands of people who live to do this! That is their reason-d'etre. it is like the thrill of skydiving, the thrill of racing at 150mph. For some it is zip-lining, others the thrill of the bungie jump, and yes the thrill of base-jumping. I was impressed with the way both of you handled it.
I can only imagine how hard it is to find parks that you guys can fit in. I know we are big with Large Marge and Big Booty Judy and find it difficult to get into some state parks. Another great hike for you guys! Thanks for sharing. That bridge hike is not for me. Holy smokes!! But I am on board with kayaking. It looked like a lot of fun--Jen
Wow!!! No way on either adventure…. We give you both a lot of credit. Way too high on that bridge for me. And WOW! You nailed the white water rafting….
So glad you made the walk over the bridge. Not sure if I could do it. You did the kayaking very well. I would have aches and pains after that that too! But it’s fun and it was watching. You both are funny. You are great to watch. It’s nice to be full of adventures. Do it while you can. Great video!
Wow. I’m so glad you did the Bridgewalk because I’ll never do that one lol and I kayak but I kayak in lakes, nice calm water not the kind of stuff that you were in.😀
Well, the bridge was pretty cool! So high and so far though. I would like to do that. As far as the kayak training, nah, not for me! The thought of turning over while being closed up in that kayak and have to figure it out under water. NO WAY! me and water over my head don’t mix. work. What an adventure for you you both and thanks for sharing.
I can feel the pit in my gut just watching you view camera - there was a time I could do this (I did cliff diving at one time🤷🏼♀️) yea - that bridge walk is a no for me! Look at these waves 😂😂😂 we have friends who kayak off Assateague Island in the ocean…that’s waves! (Best part is when the dolphins come to visit!) You guys did great! We usually do tubing - but it’s been awhile…
wow, that was quite a day!! I do not think I have that kind of courage in me - but I really should take some of those lessons as I have been in some situations on the river before. Great video!
Have been to Bridge Day. Relative sold peanuts. Base jumpers are impressive and some land in the river. We drove down the access road at the south end to the river.
Bridge driving, for sure. Bridge walk, yup I'd do it. Exploring, no problem. Kayaking lessons, would be very helpful, but the tip over... not sure. You made it look easy. Neither of you mentioned the water temp. Cold? Great camera work on the river Todd.
Thanks for stopping by --- as always you do such a great job of doing all the things! It was cold for sure but after that first tip over, you kinda get used to it and the adrenaline kicks in and takes over. Was a fun experience for sure
I'm James McGilley in Kansas City, Missouri Great video, I share with my parents although they don't have an RV they do go on road trip adventures couple times a year.
I have been on that road many many times from OH to Roanoke VA where I am from. I take 64 instead of 81 to get home. Which makes me pass New River Gorge. Never have been. So we are going to make a special RV trip to see it. Miss the mountains so much. Grew up in the surrounding Blue Ridge mtns where the NW Railroad was the hub. It has moved south now. Deana
This was amazing! You did so well, and it looks fun, yet incredibly exhausting! I've made a note of it in my very long list of places I want to go to! Every RV UA-cam video I watch, I take notes on my phone of good RV Parks and cool sites and adventures in the area! And this has now made the list!!
We were there last week!! We didn’t walk under the bridge but we found Army Camp and parked the RV and then explores the rest of the gorge!! My favorite was Sandstone falls.
Ssshhhhh don't tell him! It's kinda like boiling a frog - slowly but 5 might be way too strong for me in a kayak - now on a raft with a guide lets do it!!
So glad you got to experience our beautiful state. We were actually camping at Camp Creek while you all were there didn't know about your channel until we saw you guys. Love seeing our state thru other's eyes.
Ok... so I will amend my C4YT comment... you two are crazy 🤪! You are also both so brave to tackle that river in kayaks... just watching brought on flashbacks of me flying out the raft in Georgia! 😳... Anyway... kudos to you both!
My dad helped build the New River Gorge bridge. I'll never forget the collapse during the build. Hawks Nest lodge has a restaurant that over looks the gorge and has a cam you can take to the bottom. Enjoy, it's as close to heaven you can get while still alive :)
We’re staying at Camp Creek State Park in early August. Thanks for this! Something we’ll have to check out! Not the kayaking tho…. The river rafting in Georgia was fun but I’ll pass on this one! We have the Sun Pass Plus which is now accepted all over.
Wow! I got queasy just watching your video! They BASE jump off the Perrine Bridge here in Twin Falls all summer, I think it’s around 486 feet above the Snake River!
Now that’s a whole different level of adventure- I don’t think I (Sheila) could just jump off something on purpose….pretty sure my brain would freeze up and say um No!
I'm from fairmont wv I wish I knew you were there just to meet you all I'm a full time camper I'm in west Virginia just for all my dr. Visits and I go to Connecticut for a while my daughter and grandkids live there or I go to Alabama where another daughter and grandkids live so I keep pretty busy
Yes but then we could not have talked to you all about our experience without having to constantly take the camera off the helmet just our personal preference
@@SwitchItUpLife I just got my wife to watch iam trying to get her to do full time rving . Then i went back a few years of your videos and showed her fiesta key one. the crabs in the trees, i have never seen her laugh so hard. great job hope to see you on the road.
Congratulations on doing your first wet exit! 🛶 You will feel so much more confident rec kayaking now.. If you get a chance to learn self rescue do it 😊
Oh no not me... my knees were weak just watching you guys.
I laughed, I chuckled.. I smiled.

I believe the term you were looking for was base jumping. Freebase means...something....else.
Would like to go across that glass bridge in China?😉😉 Mark from Ohio.👍
Have you two heard about the underground zip line in KY?
Thank you for going for me Sheila!!! That bridge is a hard no for me. You guys rocked it!
Thanks for tagging along!
I can’t wait until I can find me a motor home!!

I sure hope you meant to say base jump and not free base!! 😂😂 We LOOOOVE WV.
Bridge walk, yes, kayak, hard pass! You guys are the bravest!
That bridge walk was freaky! I felt a huge sense of relief when you got to the end. What an awesome experience that must have been.👍🏾
I did the whitewater rafting and we ran the class 3’s to class 5’s and it was an eight hour ride that was great
wow, that was quite a day!! I do not think I have that kind of courage in me - but I really should take some of those lessons as I have been in some situations on the river before. Great video!
Huddle yes, bridge yes, rafting yes, kayak a definite no! Great adventure thanks for taking us along! Shelia you push Todd, but he enjoys it.
Thanks for watching! Oh in a couple videos Todd gets even and really pushes me …. Appreciate you following along!
Raft the Gauley in the fall!!
I just realized after watching a few videos. I said hello to you at American Heritage RV while you were riding a magic wheel thingy. Small world
Another great Todd & Sheila adventure! Thanks for taking us along!!❤
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for watching Denise
Ray and I did the bridge walk last year! It was amazing!!
Very cool experience!! Glad you and Ray took the time to do it!
We are origionally form WV, glad to see you do some of the great outdoor events in the state, and share that with you viewers.
It’s a beautiful state!!
Oh my heavens u guys r nuts! But good nuts lol😅 loved the video & so proud of both of u ❤
Oh my goodness, I was getting the Willy's just watching the bridge walk. When you sat down, double Willy's!!
Never for me. Your so brave😮
😁 Well you went with us from the comfort of your chair today - yeah!! Thanks for coming along- now wasn’t that fun?🤩
That whole adventure was Awesome! Cheers from KC ~lisa b.

Surely we can distract her with a good conversation or something …..🤷♀️

You guys did so fantastic on the river. Super impressed with both of you and your courage!

Thanks for taking us along for this wild ride!!
An adventure huddle would be awesome!! Sounds like fun!
Gee that was fun! I enjoyed watching u guys walk the plank, n take the plunge, great adventures to watch while my feet stay planted lol. 🍻
You need to do like Marc on Grand Adventurer, mount camera on kayak.
Such beautiful country! And so much fun. That is where I white water rafted many years ago with that company. They are great.
We were there last week!! We didn’t walk under the bridge but we found Army Camp and parked the RV and then explores the rest of the gorge!! My favorite was Sandstone falls.
Great video! Awesome job on the kayaking....Todd, Sheila is gonna have you doing class 5 rapids before long. 😂
Ssshhhhh don't tell him! It's kinda like boiling a frog - slowly but 5 might be way too strong for me in a kayak - now on a raft with a guide lets do it!!

I would definitely do the bridge walk!!
Todd you said people free base off the bridge instead of saying they BASE jump off!! Another Todd- ism. ☺️
lol Well sometimes Todd’s tongue and brain are not in sync - and a whole new dictionary is created 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

It is a beautiful piece of work! If he’s still around make sure to tell him thanks - simply beautiful
Another awesome video. Thanks for sharing.

Such a beautiful area - I know you guys will love it
Well it makes me scared for you lol. I hate heights and bridges!!
Not a chance! I like to be on top of my kayak not under it!!
😆 well that is the goal - always
We did that walk back in March it was so awesome. We also had to drive the gorge to Indiana and that was equally as awesome.
Drive the gorge to Indiana? Do elaborate for me Kyle!
Wow! I got queasy just watching your video! They BASE jump off the Perrine Bridge here in Twin Falls all summer, I think it’s around 486 feet above the Snake River!

Great video, in Sept. you all should try rafting the Gulley River, rent wet. Suite
Love yalls videos. I actually live 5minutes from New River Gorge. Crazy I just recently stumbled across your guy's video's
Thanks for watching! We are glad you found our channel!

Being able to move from family to family makes this a great lifestyle for that option!!
Still looking for Russell that I met at American Heritage. With the broken Nissan Titan.
He is on the app - or email us at SwitchCrew@GoSwitchItUp.com and I can give you his email address
Hello! We are on the new gorge river also near Hilton! Beautiful views and great fishing.
It is so beautiful there! Enjoy 😊
Newstate Nomads look familiar
Saw this bridge on another YT channel- too much afraid of heights so couldn’t do it. Would love to see it !
There are some amazing places to see it from the ground though - totally worth a trip!
I am amazed at how there is no rust on the bridge. A Michigan bridge would not look like that underneath.
They put a special coating on it - it’s pretty cool cuz it keeps it looking so clean and new
Thanks for sharing 😊😊😊
We did it in 2022 yeah!
Very cool experience - glad you were able to do it!
there was a gopro mount on top of your helmet, handsfree filming
Yes but then we could not have talked to you all about our experience without having to constantly take the camera off the helmet just our personal preference
@@SwitchItUpLife oh yes, i get it.
So good!!!
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
We did that last week! Where did you camp near there the roads are pretty crazy.
It seems like your sound is muffled in your last couple of videos. The intro is good, but a little soft with the camera. As always, enjoy watching ❤
LOL! They BASE jump off bridges, not FREE BASE! That's an illicit drug reference - I only know from movies! Great video though!
So once you walk over the bridge do you have to walk back? Making it a two mile walk?
You think walking across it is sketchy how do you think they felt when they had to build the damn thing
You are absolutely correct on that!!
Why do you need a harness??
I'm sure it has everything to do with insurance liability for that tour company
C4YT = Safe Travels. 🍀🍀🍀
Thank you!
If they wanted the bridge to really freak people out they could paint big cracks in the structure. lol
😂🫣
I cant drive over that dam bridge rather then walk under it. brave souls lol
Or ---- you could do Both lol Thanks for stopping by to watch the video
@@SwitchItUpLife I just got my wife to watch iam trying to get her to do full time rving . Then i went back a few years of your videos

Laughter is so good for our soul! Glad to have you guys on the join with us!

It’s crazy out here on the east coast for tolls!
C4YT❤

David says the bridge is a hard pass......
C4YT
Thank you!
I will never show my wife this video. Never never never!!!
OooooKkkkk -- it can be just your secret. Maybe show her the next one :-)
Ummmm I’d do the bridge walk but the kayak adventure is a major NO!!
Congratulations on doing your first wet exit! 🛶 You will feel so much more confident rec kayaking now.. If you get a chance to learn self rescue do it 😊
Thank you - we will take another lesson in the future - sure want to know more about being safe on the water!
