You have to scrub them with the toothbrush and water after to get any results! I use toothpaste to clean my shoes. Specifically the soles but if they are super dirty I’ll scrub the entire shoe....then usually use a shoe bag and throw them in the washing machine

The best thing to do with clear soles is just wear the shoes everyday when they new, they will be pretty worn out by the time they turn yellow and you can just retire them and get another pair of shoes and maybe still rock the yellow soles once and awhile. Sole sauce and all that with the sun will seperate the sole from the shoe withe the harsh chemical and heat.
Delusion In The Brain very true. The chemicals used in 40 volume creme are very strong to reverse the oxidation process on the plastic polymer. I would love to learn how harsh the chemicals of the 40 volume creme are on the plastic soles.
Maybe using the 40 volume on a sole that has been completly removed would work and the glue it back on. The yellowing doesnt really bother me that much n e more n e way, like i said, if u wear the shoes out then who cares n e way, these guys want foams and jordan 11s that look like they never been worn, if thats the case just buy em new and put em in a display case and they still gonna yellow after like 10 years
Yeah the sneaker culture is very different now a days but hey it is what it is. Every sneaker head is different and has different preferences. I like to wait to rock my new kicks on special occasions. I also have a few that I don't know when I'll rock.
Want help w that? I don't use developers first of all. That's just a QUICK way to do it. But, old school?
Peroxide and baking soda into an almost paste like consistency (not solid at all bc it will just block the sun from getting through). Put that on all of the ICY parts (use painters tape and cover all parts of the bottom not iced). Then here is the trick...
Grab two ziploc bags and fill them w ice. Put them into your shoes where the top of the bag will be facing down w the shoe when turned over (in case of sweat or water leaking). Never leave them out in the sun more than 2 hrs (I'd recommend 1.5). I live in Alabama and right now we are in a major heatwave and my bags yesterday didn't even liquify completely.
This does work. It keeps your soles from even remotely separating. I've never had a pair separate doing this. The saran wrap traps heat so that the baking soda/peroxide mix can do its job, but the bags of ice will keep the soles underside where the glue is still cooled off.
Now, I've moved on to using a UV light in a box these days (just get a cheap LED grow light that's square) and a box when open at the top fits my light perfectly. Then, I keep it leaned just a little and run a fan on it. There isn't a need to actually cut a hole for a fan so long as the room you are doing it in is cold and you've got a fan blowing on it just through that gap. LEDs can get warm when encased, but w the grow light I've got it isn't encased and so it doesn't heat up. Use aluminum foil for reflecting the light all around the shoe. And guess what? No glue separation whatsoever.
Regardless, use the ice bag trick to keep them cooled off. It works 💯 💯 💯 every time. And I've rejuvenated over 75 pairs now, from kids to adult size 17s. It's my side job.
And one last thing people tend to forget, when soles get older like that it is also important to treat them with silicone spray. Take you a soft rag (not paper towels) and some silicone spray and rub it in whenever you are completely finished. You know how you treat your leather for water resistance and shit? Well, silicone is essentially the same for bottom soles - breathes life back into them and reduces the likelihood of the rubber breaking and ALSO reduces wrinkles in your leather because the sole is bending just like it should.
And of course, don't forget your toe inserts whether you like em or not, those creases require you to get out the iron and wet towel and spend half an hour getting them out. Save yourselves some time and buy a big pack on Amazon for 20 bucks and pop them in everyone of your pairs or you can buy shoe trees that you can put in when you don't wear them but won't prevent leather creases when you are wearing them. Best case scenario is using both.
Lastly, I see ppl putting their Js in big ziploc bags. It's fine if you are keeping them in a really cool environment. Otherwise, you are fucking em up. I'd recommend one of the square stands to put them in that has a clear cover w Velcro closures. A pair will fit in each hole and come in different sizes. I have one that fits 24 pairs at a time. Don't be cheap and get you one for long term benes and you're looking at 25 to 50 bucks depending on the amount of shoes you got.
And treat your leather every two weeks if wearing regularly. Once a month if not.

the shoe was originally foggy dark brown and it got lighter i think if he did two more sessions you would see a result

Using the 40 Volume Creme method would work on shoes that feature a transparent sole/netting. It can also unyellow midsoles and toe caps.

I have Lebron 13's midnight blue shoes, and the soles are literally piss-yellow. Do you honestly think that toothpaste would work on those? Or let alone, anything?
DillonBuildZ I would suggest cleaning them first and then using 40 Volume Creme to try reversing he oxidation process. We do have a how to ice your soles video on our channel!

King Che it doesn't have to necessarily be blue tooth paste. How ever I do recommend using a tooth paste with a whitening agent to enhance the process and yield better results.

Gwala Fam I would suggest using 40/50 volume creme or sole sauce like god of soles. They will get you the best results on reversing oxidation in any plastics/rubber.

This method is not the best method for icing your soles. If you want to reverse the oxidation of your soles I recommend the 40 volume creme method for 45 minutes to 1 hour each session. This is the safest method as long as you space out session periods.

If your asking if this method will work on the Air Jordan 6 rings. The short answer is no. This method is not recommended for icing your soles. I recommend a sole sauce you can buy online or making your own solution. I have a few videos on it.

Doing it in sessions like mentioned above its best to do at least 45 minutes to an hour depending on how hot it is.
It's not 120° maybe 118° is the highest only every once in awhile it is 120° not all summer average temp in the summer is 115°
