it is very surprising to hear such a performance by Russian composers. this is a very big job, this is a great love for classical music and a deep understanding of it. it is all the more surprising that in Russia heavy metal is always associated with Baroque or Gothic music. not all Russians know the names of these great composers, especially their music. I'm just shocked. I really laughed at the video with the pastor from Texas and already realized that you are a very gifted musician, but this video shows that you not only have a great talent, you are also a great connoisseur. you are a musician with a capital letter. that's what they say in Russia. thank you!
The black metal band Marduk heavily borrowed... I mean hommaged it in their song "Glorification of The Black God". Also used an orchestral rendition of the original as intro for their live shows at some point.
Great harmony and melody is timeless. The electric guitar has a vast palette of musical voices. The guitar playing and interpretations of these Russian classical works are very compelling.
If i wasn't actually familiar with classical music (thanks Brett and Eddy) i would definitely check them out after watching your videos, i could feel the passion as you're playing the pieces
Russian musicians were so creative that it seems impossible to replicate it nowadays. Even the french, deustch, austrian and polish musicians of the 18th, 19th and early 20th century created something that won't be surpassed. Never.
A lesser known composer is Mosolov. He wrote the Iron Foundry, part of the machine music movement. I think this guitarist would love it. I used for quiet thinking. ;) I think I'll go there now.
Alexander Borodin - Prince Igor: Polovtsian Dances oooof....so silky smooth. I feel could listen to that as a whole song and fall deeply and comfortably asleep. Wonderful job!!!
Nice! Just discovered your stuff, obviously most of it is being filed under "comedy", though it is also seriously impressive, but this isn't funny, it's just AWESOME. I would 100% buy a cd of just all of these being fleshed out as full songs. And I agree with fly me into the sun pls: a couple of these literally sound like they were the originals, and the orchestral versions were the covers, they fit so well. You are a superb musician. I know nothing about guitar, but the way you choose when to articulate with the right hand in melodies and when to just let it flow is worth watching for any musician. If you haven't heard it yet I suggest Tchaikovsky's Melodie, could be right up your alley of happy and awfully sad.
Absolutely brilliant! Thank you for a such thoughtful arrangement and doing a great justice for these pieces. You’re a fantastic musician. Definitely sticking around for more!

I think we can safely say "mission accomplished".
That Mussorgsky looks like a troubled man and a genius at the same time, and that can be felt in his composition. Amazing interpretation.
This picture was taken when Mussorgskiy was hardly ill. Normally he looked like normal person
As a classical pianist, can tell you the rachmaninoff moment musicaux part was brilliant.
Как классический пианист пишу фамилии с большой буквы.
When classical pianist could enjoy the metal version of classical music, then the guitarist must be doing something right

Думаю, что по сравнению со звучанием хорошего живого оркестра электроинструменты звучат очень убого.
Насчет Мусоргского - есть блэк метал кавер на эту композицию - Marduk - Glorification of the Black God
Please, make the entire Mussorgsky piece (that heavy doom metal part).
