  • Dr. Jordan B. Peterson sits down in person with actor, podcaster, and host of “The Comments Section,” Brett Cooper. They discuss the adversity Cooper faced early on which prompted her to try out theater, the landscape of growing up as a child actor, her positive and negative experiences with Hollywood and university, the psychology of exploitation, why she joined The Daily Wire, her upcoming film and television projects, and her motivation to be a voice for young women who embrace their femininity.
Brett Cooper is a viral internet personality, content creator, and actress. She’s best known as the charismatic host of “The Comments Section with Brett Cooper” on UA-cam, captivating over 4 million subscribers with her irresistibly irreverent opinions on current news and cultural phenomena. Brett’s rise to digital fame was meteoric, amassing 1 million followers within just six months of launching her show and surpassing 4 million within two years. She moved from Tennessee to Los Angeles at the age of 10 to pursue acting. After years of balancing homeschooling and a professional acting career, Brett honed her art of storytelling while studying English at UCLA. At just 20 years old, Brett returned to Tennessee to launch “The Comments Section with Brett Cooper” at The Daily Wire. Following the show’s rapid success, the rising star is returning to acting in the forthcoming DailyWire+ animated sitcom “Mr. Birchum” and the historical fantasy series “The Pendragon Cycle.” In a debut role, Brett will star as Snow White in “Snow White and the Evil Queen” in the first feature-length production for Bentkey, The Daily Wire’s children’s entertainment platform.

As a father of both an adult male and a teen woman, i say that clearly that's a proper mother's job. Not a father. As for your daughter being a teen woman? Come on man. I get it, maturity is important and whatever. But that's a girl. That's your girl. Be proud of your girl if she's a good girl. Don't just shift all responsibility to the mother. Even a feeling of pride? You can't even allow that? This adult male and this teen woman as you call them deserve some warmth from their father. I have been freed from suffering transgenderism and I know I was healed by God in a profound spiritual transformation. I'm not conservative but I do appreciate Brett Cooper's contribution as a young woman in contrast to the mainstream culture that acts as if it has women's interests at heart, while undermining our real needs.

Well yes there is a correlation between being female and being PHYSICALLY weaker, due to the lack of testosterone advantage, but the idea of finding that a source of shame has always struck me as just absurd. I mean, really, it makes as much sense as racism. And women have a different set of strengths that men couldnt HOPE to match.
Also for another thing, do you realize how insanely powerful a woman can be? I mean socially. The sheer clout that some women who so happen to possess a combination of charisma and physical beauty can wield is sometimes mindboggling. Some women have virtually owned the souls of some men throughout history, sometimes very powerful men like Kings and Emperors and Presidents. But it's a quiet, subtle, nearly invisible sort of power. It's frightening sometimes to see the scale of power women can wield, it borders on magical. Men can only disregard and disrespect women at their own peril.

As for Brett’s closing words… I’m working on it, Brett. Dr. Peterson, I’ve been listening to you every day for over two years, and I’ve heard you say a hundred times if I have once that “you need a partner. Think I met someone. We’re making a road trip together to come see you in Boston and a road trip is a pretty good opportunity to talk things over. I’m a 65 year old conservative. While Ive been that attractive man in my youth, that took advantage of those beautifully angelic women that thought I was the one. I now find myself in a thirty five year relationship where I’ve completely serenaded to a woman that means more to me than life itself. She raised our children in a time I don’t even comprehend. She treats me like the king of here world, while reconnecting me to the man she thinks I can be. As a single man, I never imagined such a famine influences could transform such a foolish man. There is nothing more attractive than a conservative woman that understands God, and the true purpose of life!

Brett is the role model I needed as young conservative woman. I am so thankful that young women growing up now have her. Also I absolutely cannot wait for Snow White and The Pendragon Cycle from the Daily Wire. It’s the kind of story telling that my heart is so hungry for.
And speaking of new content from the Daily Wire, I am so hoping for the Rex Murphy documentary on Newfoundland. I have dear friends up there whom I never got to visit, and Rex was a dear friend I never got to meet. I am taking his passing as a personal grief. It is making me think, with a shudder, dearest Dr. Peterson, how very close I came to not being able to meet you next month. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, that we still have you with us, and that you’re healthy and strong again. It might have been otherwise.

When I went for my Bachelors (I already had an AS) UNM was advertising itself as the “late afternoon and evening” center. Late afternoon was 3:00 pm. I asked my professor why it was impossible to get an evening degree. He told me that professors hated teaching in the evening. An 18 year old is impressed by a 28 year old professor and will believe almost anything he says. In the evening, the students are likely to be 30, are not impressed by the professor, and know nonsense when he hears it.
