We spent hours and hours trying to install our inside mount zebra shades. Support at SelectBlinds was of little help, their only suggestions were to read the instructions and watch the video. To add insult to injury, they told us installation should only take "3-5" minutes. In the end, we figured out we needed to add a 1/2inch spacer (we used balsam wood) between the ceiling and the bracket, as there was not enough space to press the blind into the bracket without more room to maneuver the blind.
In 2024, the screws they gave me I needed a 1/8 drill bit. Also, yes the new hooks are a bit harder to work with aka the thing that latches to the zebra shade cassette.
The brackets that came with my Select Zebra Solar blinds are complete garbage! The slot in the plastic part does not have enough clearance for a nut driver, so you can’t get it snug to window frame. Tried to use flathead screwdrivers the rest of the way, impossible. Got close enough. Then things got worse: instructions say use pliers to pull plastic tabs to lock the bracket into the head rail. There is no clearance between window frame and head rail to get purchase on the tab. Finally it broke. Maybe the blinds are okay but I don’t know because the brackets suck.
Why don't you use the New style bracket in your videos? The new ones are a NIGHTMARE! Good luck trying to use a flathead manual screwdriver to secure the worthless screw into a stud! The "new" bracket has an recessed area that the screw must get into that no hex/socket type bit will fit. Worthless!

I am looking to purchase blinds soon and your installation video is so easy to follow, thank you.
should you install closer to the edge or back towards the window?

I have 2" depth rather than 3" could i still make it work?

My brackets look nothing like this and appear to need very different positioning 😢
Do you offer remote controlled motorized?
Are all zebra dual shades motorized? I've seen others manually sliding it up or down
There are continuous cord loop, cordless and motorized lifts available! You can check them out here: www.selectblinds.com/zebra-blinds-shades.html

I also noted that new brackets are small flat.
You are soooo correct. The ones I got today are complete garbage! No clearance for nut driver. And frickin plastic clips break.
What color/brand of blinds are these?
There's no brand they're all made in China
Drawing for the installation is wrong.
This video is absolutely needed to install it.
