- This is the common or European kestrel (Falco tinnunculus). The kestrl is part of the kestrel group of the falcon family Falconidae. This bird has a very wide range. It is widespread in Europe, Asia, and Africa, and has been spotted on Pacific Islands as well as the east coast of North America. The bird shown here was filmed in central Poland.

The cutest bird of prey ever
Also nicest one might i add, it looks innocent despite being carnivore but they are still nice guys, as long as you dont have small animals.
Agreed, they are nice ones too, but Falcons despite being spooky they are still nicer than hawks. So this small Falcon is no exception, just dont make it mad.
And every rodent for a mile around, on hearing that sound will (or should) run for its life.
They sound so cute yet look so intimidating!
They look more cute than intimidating to me! Definitely the cutest bird of prey.
They're smaller than a pigeon
Ye as horrifying as it can be Kestrels are still noble falcons that hunts the pests of everyday life even if im divided on Pigeons, i still understand the problem they cause.
@@SonicGeneration Falcons in general are adorable in my opinion, and kestrels are absolutely no exception!
We have been trying to identify the call for ages, finally happy to have this bird of prey in our garden, it comes around twice a day normally.
Yeah the dog was just distracting me so I wouldn't see the kestrel 😂
Nasal spray anyone? 😂
I have a family in my yard! I saw them teaching aerial hunting and squeaking like this I thought maybe it was a baby hawk but saw one on the telephone wire today and could actually get a good look at her. I have voles in my yard and keep my grass longer than my neighbor who cuts his daily. I'm guessing they're enjoying the buffet lol
I think the kestrel has an absolutely distinctive call!
Such a lovely bird.
He scream at his own dam feet
Translation: All raptors unite! We won't take this any longer! We raptors will wipe out the humans from our homes, from our fields, from our woods, and church spires. Raptors unite!
Hitchcock was right: it's just a matter of time now. Better wear a hat today when going outdoors.
Beautiful Kestrel 🦅❤️
Day 15 tryna find out what bird keeps pissing me off
She is sooo pretty!!!!! I know kestrels are total badasses but I can’t help but fall in love with that face. They are super adorable!! I am working on a graphic novel and one of the characters has an older common kestrel as a companion.
Kestrels are amazing. The babies are especially badass!
They are awesome...check out the one I rescued the name of the video is Rescued Kestrel male
Why are the babies bad ass?
Ye Kestrels are small and cute Falcons that can be quite friendly, and also quite stylish.
Update on the little boy he's now flying and looks like he's hunting "fly high little brother "
Just found out the bird I have is a kestrel and he lost his mind when he heard this
How do you own a bird of prey and not know what it is?
@@matthewhiggs4805 I didn't own him I saved him. He's now back in the wild
Sounds so cute!
What a beauty!!
Dont confuse it for Dove, but either way despite being small and cuter compared to large Falcons or Hawks, they still are bird of prey. But one of nicer ones, if your nice to them of course.
Amazing family orientated animals, I've witnessed a mum,dad n 3 kids out together over their favourite hunting ground and the parents were , it seems teaching them some basic hunting skills. Quite successfully too!
Nice female kestrel~
Stunning bird
She is stunning!
KreeKreeKreeKree. The sound of a mighty but tiny hunter.
Beautiful female 🤩
cute lil wapta' nemesis of the vole!
Adorable!
Яка гарнюня!
i think my cat attacked one of these when it landed on our catio this morning. I think it's okay. I heard it crying but I checked Juniper and she had no blood in her claws. She got a pawful of feathers though.
The cat was fortunate to get off worse. A kestrel could kill a cat.
@@VanlifewithAlan kestrels are very small birds of prey - no larger than a pigeon. I don’t think they could kill a cat.
Cute!
*Humans when they hear this sound:* awww cute bird
*Rodents when they hear this sound:* Quick! Hide/run for your life!
Cutest little things
My neighbors have a rat problem thats apreading to the neighborhood, and one of these just moved into the tree in my back yard. Their call is super loud, but man i hope this solves the rat problem
милашка ути мой пупсик🥰😃
Nah you're right they are cute but why you say they look intimidating they look cute not intimidating 😂 😂
I sometimes see these bird, I think they are kestrels or either Merlins.
nice
female kestrel falcon. Beginning vid showed 3 eggs, the when she was attacking the starling(not crow) there were at least 6 eggs.
I can't see three eggs at the beginning of the video, maybe I need to get my eyes checked. I also missed the starling which was not a crow.

Hi! I live in Southern Brazil(RS). I was waked up by a falcon very similar to this one, and the same song as in this video. It stoped at my window above the air conditionair, it was about four o'clock afternoon, I waked up and went to the window, 12th floor apartment, it was singing without stoping, than we faced each other in the eyes, than he flyed. Is there any meaning in this encounter?
I cannot explain it Ricardo!
Why is he making this call?
What kestrel species
Is it stuck?
That's just one of their sounds, go check out my new UA-cam video:Rescued Kestrel male...of a male Kestrel coming home to eat a free meal
