There is sometimes some confusion about this. In the UK an optometrist is the person who performs a sight test (as defined by the GOC rules). The practice is often referred to as an Opticians. People often use optician for optometrist, although this is not the correct usage.
Hi! I'm a student of Medical Technology, and first you should go and check your eyes, if you are diagnosed with glaucoma, it depends of which type of glaucoma you have, to choose the treatment. That treatment usually are topic eye drops, but like I said it depends. You should go and see an Ophthalmologist who can give you a proper treatment.
