TACKLESHARE PROGRAM
TackleShare is a program of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH), with Ontario Power Generation as title sponsor. We are proud to deliver this important program that encourages fishing as a fun, family activity that can be done anywhere in Ontario while staying within your family bubble.
Wherever you fish, remember to follow signs and “Stay Clear, Stay Safe” as water near dams and hydro stations can turn dangerous in a heartbeat.

Can it tell me where you can find when you are allowed to fish during the year? In regulations , there are a whole numbers of items to look at . thank you
Hi David, What area are you looking to fish in? If you can tell me a general city or town I can point you to the right section of the regulations.
@@FishAlongOFAH little lake , rice lake , toogood pond, lake wilcox, ( lake simco near barrie)
thanks
@@davidc5323 For Little Lake and Rice Lake you want to look in Zone 17 - www.ontario.ca/document/ontario-fishing-regulations-summary/fisheries-management-zone-17 - When looking at the regulations, find your targeted fish species and look for open season dates. For Toogood Pond and Lake Wilcox you want to look in Zone 16 - www.ontario.ca/document/ontario-fishing-regulations-summary/fisheries-management-zone-16 - Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any more questions we'd be happy to help.
Im in sarnia....
Is there any real reason why the MNRF haven’t updated their species observations in 10ish years, yet keep stocking that particular water body with whitefish and trout?
They clearly have current records, unless they’re just stocking based on pure guesswork…
That's something only the ministry will have an answer to feel free to contact them at www.ontario.ca/feedback/contact-us
