The citation 200 can't use 50 Watts without its dock, it can be used at reduced power, which is roughly 40W! So 80% volume actually means 32 watts theoretically, while JBL's 60 watt system at 80% volume means approximately 48 watts! This is quite a big difference, that is, the conditions are not the same! In addition, the Citation 200 can transmit 35 hz well, while the JBL cannot go down to that level! This doesn't seem like much until one experiences the lack of very low frequencies! I know that none of them are capable of APTX quality bluetooth connection, but the difference is noticeable! In addition, the JBL is more expensive and much bigger, but it falls behind in quality when you need to play quality music! The sound of the citation 200 is more refined, when playing better quality music! Putting the charger on the dock, even though it already knows 50 watts!
he’s testing them as is so if you’re gonna use them out and about that is how they are both gonna differentiate at those same volumes weather they are using the same wattage or not, that is the power the speaker provides
@@KULASTECHSHOW20 Few months ago I wanted a speaker under €300. I bought JBL xtreme 3 (299€), HK citation 200 (269€) and HK Go+Play (299€) for testing for two weeks at the same time. Xtreme 3 was best for outdoor use thanks to good battery and waterproof. Both HK was better for indoor use. Go+Play was better for sound imaging thanks to stereo, but bass was much better on citation 200. I decided to keep the citation 200 and later it is possible to buy a second one for stereo sound.
Checked yesterday H/K Onyx 7 and Citation 200... wanted to buy one of those... Bit then I heard Boombox 2... H/K is not even competitive to Boombox Boombox destroys them together 😏
Really depends to the listener, i personally like the sound of the JBL boombox compared to onyx series, not that Onyx series are bad, but i like bass, and BOombox bass is incredibly low and extends more (40Hz). Pop, HipHop, Rock it can sound good to almost any genre @ loud volume. WHile ONYX sounds pure and detailed, when in High volume, it sounds different..
@@KULASTECHSHOW20 I agree. I liked Onyx on volumes lower 50%. The problem is, that it's getting noticably louder only from 0% to 50%, while after 50% the volume increases much slower and with changed sound balance. While in Boombox volume from 0 to 50% increases slowly, but after 50% every percent increases loudness a lot! I think, JBL did so, because they promised long battery life on 50% volume. But Onyxs loudness on 50% is too low for me. And after 50% it sounds not that good. While Boombox is not that loud on 50% (maybe just a bit louder, than Onyx), but it explodes after 50% without any distortion in sound. And after 50% Boombox just destroys Onyx without any chances for H/K. Also, the functionality of Onyx is very low. But it's fine, since it costs much less. Overall, I wanted to buy Onyx or Citation 200. But I was surprised how quiet they are.

Boombox sounds louder and bigger. That was expected. However the citation is more amazing with mini size but has same bass quality.
Set EQ on citation 200 on bass on 4 and treble on 4 for closer sound profile to BB2

Ma Turn head ka tlga dyan sa boombox 2 ahhahhaha mganda tlga sounds nyan kaso ang bulky kasi
I recently had the opportunity to pay a lot less than 1 boombox 2 for 2 citation 200
@Christophe..Which one did you get?
2 citation 200 for 290€
@ Nice deal! But 1 Boombox sounds better, than 2 Citations still. Moreover, Boomboxs battery life is times better, than on 2 Citations.
The music you play matters a lot. Grow up.
