Who said you can't play metal on strat, Yes maybe it will be easier to play on Superstrats due to very low tension of strings, but cmon strat is still the perfect all rounder of guitar, Even In Metal it can be used.
They clearly have never heard of Iron Maiden
cause the pickups bro. single coils sound dog shit for metal, hence why she’s using the humbler (which 99 percent of strats don’t have)

Why is string tension lower on superstrats if they both use 25.5” scale lenght?

You can play metal on any kind guitar. It's a style of playing not a type of guitar.
As long as it´s electric and you have the right pedals you can play on basically anything
@@vlzg5772 this or the right pickups. She has a humbucker in the bridge position, so of course that thing can shred. Any guitar with a bridge humbucker can shred, the classic 3 single coil Strat can't.
I play guitar in a metal band called Spirit Thieves (our EP is on UA-cam if anyone wants to listen) and I recorded all my guitar parts on a Squier HSS Fat Strat. It’s an incredibly versatile guitar and for its price point it’s an absolute steal. Mainly use an Ibanez Paul Stanley signature PS60 now, but my Strat was a great guitar!

I love hearing strats used in metal. Used with a good overdrive you can get some good metal tones. They cut through a live mix great too.
I own a strat and only a strat so I have no choice but to play metal on my strat 😅 even tho it’s not ideal. So far I can play the riffs to enter sandman and master of puppets. I love this video! You have a great playing style

Yes , nowadays you can play metal on a strat with just 3 single coil pickups - it also depends on your gear- I`ve seen some great sounding guitar videos on strats playing metal here on UA-cam. In One by Metallica Kirk used A SINGLE COIL ESP Strat .

Heaviness is from the riff not the amount of gain, so even though this is a HSS strat, a SSS would do just as well

On a strat with a humbucker? Of course. Where it gets interesting is when you try playing metal on a single-coil instrument (strat or tele).

You are an amazing guitarist and I really like your channel! On a side note, what people are referring to when they say “you can’t play metal on a Strat” is one that is the most typical single coil fender or squire guitar. Also the ones with hot rails do not count.
well , that ibanez is not a strat , and people who said that about strat dosn't talk about the strat , but more about single coil , with just one humbucker you play any kind of metal
that ibanez is a strat style guitar. Many companies make stratocaster clones.

Obviously yes...and quite well at that. But as to the question of if metal CAN be played on a certain type of instrument? Yes.. Metal CAN be played on anything from a Fender Strat to a Strativarius Violin, piano, accordian, bag pipes, you name it and yes, Metal CAN be played on any type of instrument ever created.... The question is "SHOULD" metal be played on a (INSERT INSTRUMENT NAME HERE)? In some cases the answer is yes...in some cases the answer is no...and in other cases the answer is HELL NO...
