i know that bay-was a time years ago-we rented-3 baits-3 rings-and a 14' aluminum boat for 3 hours for $20-we got 6 keepers on the point northwest of where you were fishing-good times-you are getting better with those snares-great to see you passing it foreward-tight lines pk
Glad you and Kevin got out there and were pulling up numbers, even though they’re small. I got four keepers there on Memorial Day and four again a couple of weeks later, but it took four hours. looking forward to getting out there with you again soon. Tight lines!
PK, you have a very inquisitive mind; creative, problem solving; there's always a better way!! I.E., your fine videos/arms/traps/weights. Crab age classes/sizes must have different movement/migration patterns for you to catch so many near size ones and no keepers; WHY? Where are those larger/older/keeper ones???
That particular crab pot seems to get a lot of crab for you, even though they weren't large enough to keep. When crabbing gets better, I suspect that you'll be hauling in limits with that thing.
they catch everything, even the small ones. The mesh is too small, so not many can escape. Can't wait to try it out when the season gets in full swing.
I'd be analyzing those videos to see how why the crabs didn't get snared. Based on the number in the nets one would think there'd be more in the snares.

I like how he combined the pot with the snare, so Kevin had something to do while the pot soaks. I guess fishing might also work.
No crab but still an wonderful outing with Kevin! I love to dads fish with the kids.

Thanks PK always a Joy.
fishing is life, it's not about catching, it's the time we spend sharing knowledge with family and friends, thank you again PK, very cool sir
Get that boy passionate about fishing, PK.

They were probably in someone else's trap. That bay gets a lot of pressure.
Try using tube PVC pipe filled with cement as a weight to weigh your trap down. Tie wrap the tubes to the trap and pesto, there it is.
Genius 🤓👍🏼
Give it a few more months and then TIGHT LINES!
I suspect that style of trap will be catching limits in a few months. No doors to keep the crabs out of the trap.

Good editing, keeping a pace, and several different things to watch.
