- A broken Social Link occurs when you see another girl (other than the one you're currently seeing) too many times and you answer incorrectly when drilled about it. A broken social link isn't too much different from a reversed one, the only difference being it's a tad bit more tedious to reconcile.
Persona 3 FES is an enhanced re-release of Persona 3 for the PlayStation 2. The English version contains both The Journey and The Answer, whereas the Japanese Append version contains only The Answer. The Journey is essentially a slightly-enhanced remake of the original Persona 3, while The Answer is an all-new epilogue that continues the story.

@Rafper92 If a girl's cooking is genuinely bad, but she's clearly trying, I'll tell her outright that it didn't come out well, *but* that she'll definitely improve with practice
@@JoshtheOverlander agreed. Keeping quiet about her cooking is not good would make her feel satisfied, and most likely she won't make an effort to improve.
About the hug, displaying physical affection is considered very forward in Japan.
You don't deserve Mitsuru if you ever get this scene.
Last time I played P3, I courted Mitsuru and took her with me to the final boss so I never did anything like this but it's still a learning experience to see what the broken route looks like! I mean the sole reason I worked my a** off getting my knowledge maxed out first was so it would be ready for Mitsuru, there's no way in H*LL I want to do anything to jeopardize a possible relationship with her!!!

You have mended your relationship with the viewer.
I remember my first playthrough. Mitsuru was angry at me because I was spending time with Aigis, then the link became reversed. I tried to make amends, but then the social link broke. It was three days before the final battle, so I couldn't really make anymore progress with the link anyways, so the link remained broken.

The only time I ever had reversed Social Links is when a lot o time has passed and I have neglected the SLink. I Also would never break a SLink with Mitsuru considering it's a huge pain to get access to her SLink to begin with (maxing out Academics).
Edit: Oh I just remembered a 2nd time that I had a reversed SLink is when I got one of them Phone calls and promised that I would hang out with them and changed my mind about it.
Tfw a game taught you some girls appreciate intelligence more than irl did.

I really like the way they made it so you can drastically fuck up relationships in this game. Granted, it was only with girls, and some of the things that cause it can be exceptionally random. Having to actually think about what you're saying to them instead of just picking any option and never really being able to say the wrong thing is immensely more relatable.

@@arthursutanto2067 It's mandatory to romance some Female S.Links (Mitsuru, Chihiro, Fuuka, Yuko, etc.) if you want to max them out. Also, you have to avoid other female links seeing you with one of them or they'll become jealous and their link will reverse. And with how little time you have to do S.links you don't want to waste time having to repair them.
Also, you don't get S.links for over half of your party members.
Luckily they at least changed all that in Portable, but only for the FeMC.

You can! You just have to keep trying to talk to them, and then they’ll give you a chance after your pestering lol. I had my SL reversed with Kenji and then finally mended it because I wanted to try and max out all possible SL’s.(still not finished with this game)
Thanks. I knew that reversed SLs could be repaired, but I've played through this game several times believing that broken ones coudn't.

It's slightly late, but I'll try to explain. Once you've made a serious relationship with a girl, you have to prioritize that relationship and you can only cheat three times (if you're seeing other girls). Just watch out who you're dating with so this scene wouldn't happen to you.
Highly suggest you to max all social links on New Game +, but if you want to start from scratch, I suggest you to find a guide to max all social links.
Also, max all social links available in school (except Empress and Aeon) before winter vacation hits. This way, it would be a lot easier to max.
How does one break a social link
In this game it's either spending time with another girl or just ignoring that link
Thing is, you can actually do these things in P3, since it's easy maxing all social-links out, even in first playthrough

All persona 3 female social links are romantic/sexual. The least romantic one is probably yukos i think but aside from hers I think you end up getting into all of their rooms.
