Haverstock hill , Hampstead town hall. I was only there last weekend on a day out with the misses, used to live in that area 20 years ago so love going back to go up the Hampstead for a coffee. It's such a beautiful place. Great video buddy.
Thoroughly enjoyed that one Andy . Nobody looks up any more or even forward. Heads buried in their phone screens 😵💫😵💫. Australia must be soon mate . Have a great time over there 🚐💨🕷️🕸️🍺🍺😎
Nice video Andy . I remember some one left a comment on one of Rob songers videos a few years back . Just think a hundred years ago there were thousands of Rob songers around . What do you think, a hundred years ago what percentage of bricklayers around were capable of this high end brick work.
Ya a mate of mine grew up in one of a row of about 20 , 2 up 2 down houses with the jacks out the back .they were stone built ,but front elevation and chimneys were brick , between them they had 60 flat arches. You definitely won’t see that now days .
Love that old architecture, Andy looking for a bit of advice do you know of a chemical brick cleaner not brick acid I think it comes in a gel / paste form think you paint it on leave it for a while then wash it off just wondered if you have heard of it and where it can be sourced
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 thanks Andy sent them a email enquiring about cost pity don’t think anyone in the uk that does it seems you can only get brick acid liquid form
I've just been diagnosed with terminal bone cancer. They said I had hepatitis. Dormant, but medication could activate it, they told me it was for having unprotected sex , see what happens, getting old only got beer left. Really enjoying the london history lessons
Unfortunately we will never see the craftsmanship of the victorian era repeated again. Modern materials and advances in construction methods should be welcomed but they have consigned craftsmanship in the traditional trades to the history pages.
Cracking video Andy. True craftsmenship and much of the skills have been lost today.I make a lot of doors, casement windows and sash windows ,bowed, curved, doubles,Venetians etc and there are some seriously nice casement windows in London.
Andy, I hope you will keep the travel Vlogs going when you are in Oz. Cities are amazing places and I love the contradiction of the old - to - new buildings, and so fascinating to see how they evolve over time as well. Those early tube lines were excavated and lined with cast iron rings. Worth getting in touch with the Institute of Civil Engineers as they have some excellent archive material on all things underground. A subject worthy of further study. P-U-B......? 🧱👍😁
Beautiful Brick workmanship
Thanks Andy nice to see the old architecture
Nice to see the old building , proper trades and proper design's.... architecture at is finest

Nice walkabout Andy, a shame so much is being lost to redevelopment but there are still some gems tucked away in the Square Mile. Cheers for sharing.

@@brickbybric Quite high I would think as there was a lot of it, even a lot of low end Victorian terraces had gauged arches.
