    Very interesting to see the difference when you spin it or not. Another great video, thanks Valerie.

    Great video!! It was really good to learn how you went from spinning it to rolling it. I am working with juniors that love to hook the ball but end up spinning it more than rolling it. It will so helpful to show them this!

    I'm watching this at 7am and want to rush to the lanes to start practicing! It won't happen today, but I will work on this. Some things you covered, turned on a light for me. I used to practice hand positions and have moved away from it. My scores vary wildly over 3 games, and I am 100% confident these tips will help reduce the huge discrepancies. Thanks!

    It’s funny it’s Monday and I’m just watching this vlog and I had a situation today where the lanes were way O/U at the start. I went 175-261-258 because the hand position change didn’t come to my mind until frame 9 game 1. Being more forward helped my ball roll earlier and blend the wet/dry.

    Hi, love your channel. Im a senior and I roll the ball kinda like you do. I have a slow ball speed…..usually between 10.5-11.5mph…….I also slightly spin the ball versus roll as my fingers are above the ball equator. our house shot is crown pattern, oil to 43 feet. What speed do you normally roll? What did you slow down to with the Anger? Help?? Trying to figure out my next ball. ……so please give numbers for speed? Slow vs normal for you?

    Valarie what about hitting the Anger with surface down a bit then rather than use polish hit it with compound being compound bites more than polish ? Thanks for another great video ❤❤🎳🎳🎳🎳 compare this to the new track criterion and the radical snap shot

    It'll be good if you show us the oiling pattern, the oiling length, thickness and diagram so that we can picture the expected reaction. I will assume it's house shot here but it'll be nice to see such information especially the length and thickness which will be helpful.

    I don't understand how putting your right foot back pre-approach opens up your angle. Does it change your gait? Can you tell us a little more about that? (I'm already a subscriber and give you likes) thank you

    • @shawncouch3863
      @shawncouch3863 9 днів тому +5

      It changes the direction of where your shoulder is pointing . Let’s say your standing with both feet toe to toe your shoulder is straight to the pins. Once you move that right foot back your right shoulder turns alil as while which changes the direction of how the ball travels down the lanes . Which allows the ball to have more room to hook

    Watching this video, my main takeaway is that solids are used to tear up the oil so you can transition to a pearl? I mean, why wouldn't you just stick with a strong pearl asymmetric ball so it retains more energy to hit the pocket and more likely guarantee a strike? Seeing the Pure Envy chug down the lane reminded me of why I swapped out my Widow 3.0 for a Hammer Effect. Got tired of the Widow gassing out and having to transition to a different ball. But maybe I'm using solids incorrectly?

    • @Jesusfanatic0711
      @Jesusfanatic0711 9 днів тому +3

      Well I get what your saying so players use a ball for something they aren’t comfortable with or lack in their game at that time, like if your not good at rolling the ball or more forward roll then a solid would help the ball get into a roll quicker since that person might get around it more and on the flip side a pearl ball for someone who really likes to roll it. I myself prefer hybrid or pearls because of my amount of roll and feel uncomfortable really rotating around the ball. Just overall saying that not everyone is gonna see that same transition as you or I would.

      @ well that’s great I’m glad you got something out of my comment and having different equipment for different houses and people are so important for
      Those reasons. However, I’m glad she explained that one stronger ball being really smooth and it indeed blends the pattern she’s on. So if you see a ball checkmark at a house like the anger she threw its weaker for that condition and of course vice versa. There’s a saying in the pba and tourneys which is you can’t fight bad ball reaction, so the wrong ball no matter what you do will work of it doesn’t blend it. Sorry I’m rambling but I love the sport and I think the more we share what we understand and help each other the better we can be together!

      I used to have to use only solid asyms and syms with strong layouts because of how much I spun it. Also would need lots of surface to blend. Thankfully now that I’m more forward, more of the time, I have a lot more options 🙏
