I:m not sure whether this is a true story or a made-up story. But anyway, expecting a 20+ year-old man to have romantic feelings for a very old lady is highly unlikely though not completely improbable. I can only place the blame with Eleanor since she is supposed to be sharp and wise in her years but still was unable to see through the young man's deception because of her need for love. She could have found someone closer to her age.

Alex got exactly what he deserved NOTHING!!! He broke her heart in more then one way she wanted to believe that he loved her and would be truthful but unfortunately that was not the case. I don't believe this story is true but I'm glad she decided to leave her money to the orphanage, it could help those children that is placed there and looking forward to getting a family that will love them and treat them good. The friend that hired the investigator just couldn't let the old lady live out the rest of her days in bliss, the old lady although very rich, did not appear to be very happy before she met this young man, he gave her something that her money could not buy her, happiness. I believe the young man was correct, it was a fair exchange. They were both participants in the deception, him for the money and her for the happiness. Instead because of the intruding so-called friend rather than dying in a blissful state she died feeling scorned. for many watching this they may conclude the money was more important than her happiness.
He was in it for the money the whole time.
And she was in it for the love, the whole time, and since they were both getting what they wanted, her friend should have butted out.
