Hey Guys, I just wanted to say thank you for the incredible support over the past few months and especially to my patrons who help to keep this channel afloat, and not to mention we've nearly hit half a million subs which is something I honestly never thought I'd reach :D I'm a lazy bugger however, so I have nothing planned for reaching the milestone, however I do have a video on how to make a video essay coming out very soon so keep your eyes peeled for that. In the video I'll say my controversial opinions on the video essay community and also give advice to anyone who wants to become a video essayist. It just so happens its release may coincide with my 500k milestone so... actually yeah, that's my half a million special, my entirely planned one. (looks side to side suspiciously) Anyway, thanks a ton to every last one of you for sticking around, and thanks to audible for sponsoring today's video. Please do check them out by clicking my link as when you do, it encourages audible to work with me again which makes my income more steady, and thus my future on UA-cam far more hopeful :D (TL;DR please click my audible link so I can stave off from getting a real job) Have a great day, - Henry
Thankfully more and more content creator are talking about how wasteful this movie and cinematic series has been. Not just the ending, the whole damn mcu is pretty mediocre. Wish they paid the animators overtime and the cg supervisors better or enough smh
Hi, Henry! Thank you so much for your UA-cam channel! As a teenager, my ultimate dream is to be a script writer and movie director! I've spent years developing my own ideas of movie franchises and characters. Therefore, me and my family actually relocated to a different city so that I may take writing and directing classes. However, you're channel is what drove my dreams! You For Real made me become a better writer. You have such insightful writing tips and are just full of wisdom! I've taken NOTES off of your videos and I can't thank you enough for educating me! You're the best! ;) Edit: AND CONGRATS ON REACHING HALF A MILLION SUBS!
I thought maybe he could get so angry his heart would glow red from his blood boiling and the camera pans to the other characters watching hulk's normal green skin to a more scarlet red, then it switches back to a close up of hulks eyes as the tears on his face turns into vapor. I'm sure my lil fan fiction breaks rules within the marvel universe but still, sounds like a pretty cool sequence to me
Yeah, but then you would have taken away her glorious fight and death scene at Vormir. I would keep Natasha's death the same, but make it so that Tony Stark's death would happen sooner in the story (before Dr. Strange or any of the other heroes earlier turned dust showed up). Tony's death would cause the most dreadful and hopeless moment in the battle (kind of like that of Dumbledore in HP6 or that of Aragon in LOTR2), and then when all hope is lost. the portals would start opening up and the tables would turn.
I agree with you, however they only had so much screen time, so focusing on Drax would mean they'd have to remove something else such as ant man meeting his daughter, then people would complain that we never saw that. It's kind of a lose-lose for the Russo's in that respect.
The Closer Look they had plenty of opportunities to pursue that plotpoint in IW and they didn’t do it either. Give Drax less stupid comedy moments and focus on what has been set up for him
@@Luke101 then again - we don't know whole story of Drax yet - maybe his whole arc in GoTG3 will be frustration from the fact that he wanted to avenge his family killing Thanos, but someone did it before him and now he doesn't know what to do next.
Imagine what would have happened if they had put original drax in the MCU and did it like they now did with miss marvel, saying that drax is the strongest hero The guardians of the galaxy would be unnecessary and he could probably fight thanos alone So i think it's good that it's just green knife wielding batista Don't hate drax just saying
It's why Infinity War's final battle felt even more tense, because everyone was serious as hell. Endgame's final battle, although awesomely epic, was pure fanservice and had no stakes at all.
What do you mean? Rather than kill only half the population, Thanos' plan became to kill everyone. No do-overs or second chances this time. If the Avengers lost again, the effects would've been permanent. The stakes were literally and objectively doubled.
@@BTTFMovie yeah but the whole movie was basically dread on Thanos' arrival. Literally the whole world was all desparate to stop him. In endgame, they never planned for him to show up, he just kinda did and they fought right there and then.
I felt like they haven't wrote much about Doctor Strange in the final fight since he was stuck on a single task: preventing the water from getting to our heroes (essentially submerging the battlefield). But with Strange's ability and intellectual prowess, even after being dusted for 5 years, I think that would not stop him from coming up with a solution to the problem without having to stay on it and possibly missing out on the fight.
@@Ra-Hul-KYou know that was just a (very) good excuse, so every plot hole or character missing receives a reason for why they didn't act more logical, right?

John Smith dude he went to tony stark’s funeral the day after. That’s enough time to realize what planet he is on. Also dr strange must be around to explain to them where they were being teleported to
They should’ve been harder to beat against the Avengers. I loved Cap’s intro in Infinity War, but they really underwhelmed the threat of Thanos’ children. Especially Ebony Maw.
Doesn't relate to the video at all, but what I find funny is that the infinity stones affect the UNIVERSE I mean imagine being an alien chilling in Andromeda and then your whole family dies because some big grape dude in the Milky Way had some magic rocks.
You can put the other way around as well. All of the sudden half of our planet dies because somebody somewhere (perhaps in Andromeda) made a snap in a glove. With no effect on the events, it seems ridiculus. But how could we make it better? does it wipe out only half of the living in close by space? What does close by mean? Or perhaps it wipes out only half of the peeps Thanos have ever met? Idk how to improve it.
I didn't really like Nebula at first, but the more I understand her story and trauma. I feel really bad for her and appreciate how complex and in depth she is. For mostly being a supporting character she's really been given a good amount of development and I've come to really appreciate her
@@wilfred5820 War Machine's new suit is seen very briefly in the background, and out of focus, when Ant Man is shrunken down and is trying to save Rhodey and Rocket in the ruins of the Avengers facility. It looks like the suit was held in an underground room within the facility; as to how Rhodey actually got it, I don't know; he could probably have summoned it, like most of the newer, non-nanotech suits could do.
That alternative version of the fight is genuinely such a good idea that I felt all the emotions just by listening to it. It’s such a powerful idea that sent shivers down my spine that I would rather see than the actual climax of Endgame. And it’s sad that it’ll never be on screen 😭
@@Ra-Hul-K maybe after cap holds off thanos with mjolnir long enough for tony to gain back consciousness, thanos gets the last stone and just repeat iron man’s death scene as he looks at doctor strange
@@Ra-Hul-K The established goal was to finish repairing the time machine and send the stones back and erasing the new Thanos from that timeline. I'm not sure how he was planning to do that though.
I agree...the thought of Thanos destroying the stones because of "temptation" is laughable. Thanos is the most discipline character in the MCU, I doubt having the gauntlet would give someone with his stature and mind a weak of a flaw
That was done intentionally. Thaos in 2014 was a war monger who didn't care about anything but the Infinity War Thanos was more careful and smarter because he was a prophet. The directors confirmed this and that's why he is so different in Endgame
@@trureligionkidd In Infinity War he has a plan and he knows what to expect. In Endgame, 2014 Thanos' plan was to just use brute force and take the Infinity Gauntlet.
Ryan Sean i doubt that would have worked, that plan working relied on Thanos thinking he’d already won therefore getting cocky and using the final moments to gloat rather than realise the stones are gone
The whole Dr. Strange shenanigans of seeing million versions of the future was made just to force a ''dramatic sacrifice'' as an ending. That's just bad and lazy writing.
@@bruhbruh4635 Actually, I disagree. I think doctor strange did see many of the futures, and there were many that they won, but all the ones where they won required doctor strange to tell Tony that there was only 1 way. If Tony believed there were other ways, he wouldn't have made that sacrifice. So DoctorStrange had to tell him that for them all to be able to win
Infinity war was ok, i think ppl were just so in to the characters that they gavw it a pass. Cap America has no arc in that movie. The wakanda scenes come off as forced. It wasnt very good
I’ve gotta agree. Fight scenes need a story. Also, I was disappointed the hulk didn’t get his sweet redemption and slap Thanos around some. I don’t care how skilled a fighter you are, you’re not out fighting the hulk unless it’s to aid the story in a certain direction
He didn't have 2 beat Thanos but I mean a stare down then throw down a lil bit would of been enough 4 me. Hulk has been nerf3d 2 nothing. Loki isn't even dangerous n his own show
Also, from the snapped peoples' perspectives, they're teleported to the battlefield mere moments after being snapped, so when did she have time to deck herself out in war paint and fighting gauntlets?
Chris Dodges Howard the Duck lived with Ravengers in GotG2. So it kinda makes since that he would have actual combat experience, or at the very least survival tactics. Shuri on the other hand has never shown combat experience, unless you count getting bodied by Killmonger and Corvus Glaive. I don’t personally have beef w/ Shuri, but come on even Spiderman was getting trashed in that battle.
@@slothrocket8540 Its a fairly long time after Banner snapped them back. And Dr Strange has seen this one outcome and just might have instructed them about the faith of the universe? I feel sad for the Asgardian and Wakandan soldiers which litteeally have been in a serious battle before they got snapped.
Except he took the final battle and cut out most of it to make his point. The final battle doesn’t start with the portals, that’s the start of the end of the final battle. Since he uses the battle of Helm’s Deep as an example, the portals are Gandalf arriving. Except in Helm’s Deep this immediately ends the battle. In endgame there is more complexity. It’s actually really obvious that this is true when you look at it. In the battle of helm’s deep Theoden rides out (with a small number of riders) to be that last defense, to sacrifice himself in the face of overwhelming odds. It’s at this moment that Gandalf shows up and the battle is immediately over. Theoden doesn’t know that’s going to happen. But he acts anyway. See? It’s the same thing, except endgame spends more time and has more chances for failure even after this magic moment, while LotR immediately has the good guys win. In endgame Captain America steps forward to be the last defense against Thanos, to sacrifice himself in the face of overwhelming odds. It’s at this moment everybody else shows up and the battle is over, shortly, but not immediately, after. Captain America doesn’t know that’s going to happen. But he acts anyway.
@@allenbower1431 agreed. Shortening the post portal scene would have helped a lot. The post portal fight was meant to be a celebration / showcase of the vast array of MCU characters I suspect. It wasn't necessary for the movie.
The part I find interesting here and it actually explains why I much prefer the fight in Infinity War compared to Endgame is that sense of progression. In Infinity War you see the set-up of the Wakandan army and Thanos’s army landing, you see the forcefield set-up, you then see Thanos’s army claw their way through the forcefield, yada-yada the point is you can see that narrative progression, you see the tide of war turning and shifting all the way to the very end, whereas that’s just missing in Endgame. Even each of the Black Order have moments that can be tracked in Infinity War during the final fight, whereas in Endgame they’re faceless goons.
@@pichitosmalltown3239 Just across the board, Infinity War is a much stronger movie and really deserved a better sequel. Endgame was too unfocused and cluttered.
nobody would have cared if they added 10 min for some epic scale battle scenes with progressive story beats and a final showdown with thanos after he uses the stones to creatively nullify the advantage the avengers have before the final showdown with all the main line characters and their battle against thanos and whatever is left of his lieutenants. it was already hours long and they made so much money that another couple million on the budget (especially if people rewatch it more because of said improvement of final payoff) is a small price to pay
When i first watched End Game, I instantly had a feeling of unsatisfaction. I loved Infinity War, i thought it was an epic movie that the whole MCU had been built up to. Then End Game came out, and it felt like a lazy rehash. Time travel back to all of the previous movies. The entire movie I felt like nothing new was being added to the narrative.
The infinity war climax, especially the fight on Titan, is so much more intense than the one here. Even the climax in wakanda in infinity war is much better.
The funny thing is, they actually hit all these notes in this movie, but in the fight BEFORE the climax, when the three stooges are fighting Thanos 3v1. It's a fight I always come back to when I remember this movie because it balances that sense of progression so well... and then they snub it all in the following fight.
Exactly, the fight before was the Helms Deep, and the portals opening was the Rohirim arriving. The problem with Endgame is that they then continue the battle for WAY too long when it's effective over, and they shove Tony Stark's sacrifice in it despite the fact that from the point the portals open the fight is entirely one-sided towards the heroes.
@@cachorrao0703 When we first see Tony in Endgame, he tells Morgan that her mom never wears anything he gets her while looking at the Rescue helmet. Also, Pepper bought that dress for herself using a company card and let's Tony take credit when he comments on it...after snarking about how he forgot her birthday.
there are alot of references in endgame that go to other mcu movies that they dont speak on in endgame but everyone who has seen the moments that are referenced to in endgame knows them. if they would speak on those references the movie would be 30 minutes longer at least but it would mean less imo
Watching this made me realise that the Infinity War battle at wakanda, and even the one at Titan, really checked all the boxes you mentioned. There was a tangible goal- protect vision till the mind stone is taken out. To do that, they needed to defend the lab. there were moments of despair- people breaking into shuri's lab, Thanos managing to get the time stone, thanos's army overpowering our heroes. But there were also moments of hope- wanda joining the fight, thor's epic entrance. overall, just a much better show than Endgame's shoddy and fan-servicey battle
The climax of Infinity war was better but the rest of it was just a glorified fetch quest with random thanos lackeys we know nothing about. Whereas endgame was the opposite, clever fun time travel plot with an utterly boring "climax" battle. Black Widow's sacrifice had a hundred times more meaning than Tony Stark's because they so screwed up that final battle.
Of course it was, but it was the climax, one of the key things a climax has to do is well... be a climax. It has to be the moment with the highest stakes, the highest dread, the moment where the viewer is the most glued to their seat, the most afraid for their characters, and this climax failed in that respect. That's the point I make in this video, although I completely get why the Russo's did what they did.
@UCLlRx3VzQT5YNIZ-odcewzA DJKokaKola I'm sorry but that's just not true. Endgame is the real climax, not an epilogue. It's nowhere comparable to the retaking of the Shire. Thanos's snap in Infinity War was a cliffhanger. Sure, it was the end to his story arc, but it was a cliffhanger for the Avengers, who are the main protagonists. Thanos is the main antagonist, just like Sauron was. The war at the end was a fight for the whole universe, not just one planet or country. Every single superhero was there, not just a small subset of them. The scale and context is completely different from the Scouring of the Shire. And even if you think its just an epilogue, this was still a full on war, not a bunch of individual fights. And it should do what a well written war does.
I just don’t understand why Strange, Wong, or any of the warriors with sling rings couldn’t either teleport the van to the heroes or the heroes to the van.
That's probably why they had Strange keep the water from flooding the battlefield. They had to somehow get rid of him to make everything harder for the hero's, thus making a more interesting story.
@@jake05 trust me I get it, but you got to get me. Because in the movie just before it in Infinity War we saw Strange sling Bruce into a park in New York somewhere with a whole ass taxi right behind him. Now you said Strange was occupied but it’s not like there wasn’t hundreds of other warriors with sling rings present. Hell get Wong. But it is what it is. They make billions for there movies not making any sense and I’m still poor for pointing out the inconsistencies within them 😂😂😂
I freaking HATED that "diversity moment", it felt completely unearned, like there was literally no reason for all of the women in the MCU to be in the same shot together. It felt like the creators being like "look at all the women we have! Give us a cookie!!" Which felt especially cheap considering how Tony's sacrifice was SO honored he got this huge funeral with everyone in attendance, and even though Natasha made the exact same sacrifice, she basically got no acknowledgement aside from one person saying they miss her. In addition to restructuring the battle the way you described, I would also restructure the ending, so that the original avengers got their moment of recognition, but the last moment of the film was that long shot of all of them, so that we could see how far we've come since the beginning, and how many people had to fight together to save the world.
@@Mirrorcomics24 I was literally about to say a good example of a female fight is the boys one lol. That one felt badass and it felt earned and it didn't feel forced at all, in fact everyone was cheering, with endgame everyone was just a bit annoyed
Listening to your version of the final battle was a bittersweet moment. As it gave me such excitement (goosebumps and all) as if I was watching the scene (perfected) for the very first time and unfortunately knowing that I would never get that epic new ending was saddening.
@@Ra-Hul-K Why must you reply with the same statement on every comment regarding the better version of the story? Already shows your lack of creativity.
I could never put my finger on why I didn't like Endgame as much as Infinity War until now! This was it! A major lack of tension throughout the entire film!!!
That's because we knew what'd happen in this one. Infinity War, from its very name, to its trailers, to its music and setting, was unlike the rest of the MCU. It was by far the greatest thing they've ever made. Endgame was in my opinion one of the worst. I didn't feel the need to go see it in cinemas, and I literally fell asleep watching it at home. I didn't even fall asleep during Black Panther, so imagine that!
@@TheStraightestWhitest I recently watched Endgame for the first time, at home; my son had to tell me how it ended. I didn't even realise I'd fallen asleep because of how assured victory was by the point of the last battle.
its also good to mention the Helm's Deep battle very successfully showed winning/losing sides spatially. You could immediately determine the orcs were winning because of the amount of layers of the fortress they advanced in. They pushed Rohan into the king's hall, which being the last safe room, was the most tense moment of the battle. in endgame, you can't see progression because there are no spatial landmarks to show armies advancing
Just a little FYI. So during the battle of helms deep, the enemy were actually uruk hai. It was the 3rd movies' final battle where they fought against orcs.
@@permabulkenjoyer2002 during the battle of pellenor field, you could also see who was winning. During Rohans charge, we could see the orcs falling back to mordor. Rohan thought they had won, but then suddenly, Haradrim makes there own charge. We can see riders of Rohan charging around aimlessly in a moment of panic. It creates a lot of tension
He was able to do it because he was also able to back it up. Lots of good points that I had issues with myself when I saw the movie. The ending, while impactful with Tony's demise was otherwise a CGI character showboat of little story value. So much missed potential.
So glad someone said this. I was so excited when the portals opened, and I was like, “wow, I wonder how they’re going to structure this fight,” and then everyone just ran forward. I was like, “oh, well, I guess that’s one way to do it.”
Crimson Hunter hats not strategy, you fire at the enemies from far away to thin them down and then charge. It's why nearly every army in history had archers and then canons too.
This "improved" version is missing one key emotional piece. In the original, the Avengers weren't sure they succeeded in bringing everyone back. So the big emotional moment when all hope is lost is followed by "not only did we succeed in bringing everyone back, but now we have help". Learning that they brought everyone back separately from help arriving diminishes that big moment. I wish there was a way to incorporate these changes without diluting that moment's emotional impact.
That's actually possible, just have Wong do it instead of Dr. Strange. After Thanos arrives just have him tells The Avengers that he would gather every remaining help he can find (or have Captain America told him to after noticing that Thanos bring an army). Even if the snapped not brought back, there are still the remains of Asgardians, Wakandans, and Kamar Taj Sorcerers. And the rest plays out the same.
in my opinion, make a movie fun especially a super hero movie mashing your toys together and making a huge battle is fun if you can turn that into a movie and make it fun then I'm happy
While I did t hate the finale, the fight scene on Titan in Infinity War is simply a lot better because it has a clear goal and you an easily follow their moves
It’s always interesting how people who do nothing but watch movies always have the most to complain about, these things take time and a lot of effort. Here come u bold movie reviewers tearing down everything they don’t like about it. Never created nothing in their lives but reaction videos to OTHER peoples work. Just appreciate that is even there for u to watch it’ll never be perfect cuz we all have different views
For all the fan service that was in this film, it absolutely pales in comparison to what they could've done if the Infinity Stones were utilized properly: -Imagine Thor loading the Power Stone into Stormbreaker and then fighting Thanos with a partially complete Gauntlet. -Imagine hundreds of wizards and Asgardians fighting in vain to slow down Thanos while he has the Reality Stone. -Imagine either side all-but-winning the fight only for someone to use the Time Stone. So much of what made Infinity War so great was the creative fight scenes that were only made possible because of the Infinity Stones and now it's all over. Marvel will never have an opportunity like this again.
Exactly, the infinity stones had so much cool potential for uses for utterly terrifying the audience with how powerful they are. And it was never used :/
Well, the 2015 Secret Wars is going to be implemented into the MCU in the future so I think we'll see even crazier shit there, or you can wait for Doctor Strange 2 because that's supposed to be totally bonkers.
Five years later and I wanted to thank you for articulating what I could not. I felt...let down, a bit, by the ending fight. It was simply a repeat of every other MCU big fight.
My main gripe with is was how the Black Order became extremely small characters. They were super strong in IW, and then they just get dealt with on the battle field no problem in Endgame.
The one thing that bothers me, Thanos could have killed the Avengers army in an instant the moment they stepped through the portals, by just blasting them with his huge spaceship cannons.
Not really... The directors said, for us to treasure that iconic moment it was slowed down from our perspective but to Thanos and his army's perspective, they probably arrived all at the same time. There was no awkward waiting in real time that is.
@Ks The final battle already sucked, there was no tension, no question who's going to win and nothing interesting happening. It was just a shiny but meaningless visual mashup. With most of the "good guys" getting blasted right away, the odds would at least not be in the heroes favor and you would wonder how they are going to win this.
There is nothing strategic about the battle at all, and you're absolutely right about Thanos' army. No one even asks how Thanos managed to rally such forces well in advance of ever having the plan that led to all this in the first place; his only motivation _is_ being threatened before he is an actual threat, and in that case there is no reason for anyone to support motives that do not yet exist.
@@legendarybroly2 Nah I think we should think of it like they said in the movie or should I say we should use an example from Back to the Future or Doctor Who, Person A goes through time to the future, sets Space-Time coordinates so Person Ω has time to gather his entire army together. Oh you know it’s just a bunch of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff.
The problem with the end of endgame is that they aren’t fighting Thanos. They’re fighting “Thanos from the past” who has nothing to do with what happened. He was shoehorned in the story because they needed a final boss.
John Smith it’s called a plot twist. In the day we live in, we don’t get surprised about what the plot of movies are anymore, especially blockbusters. Thanos was dead and there was nothing anyone else could do so it was over. The characters completely lost hope that anything could change what happened. Then Ant-Man returns and so does the hope of the Avengers. Then time travel. Then they succeeded. And the battle is their second chance to protect everything they lost and they’re gonna do it right this time. It’s the same exact stakes and they know the consequences all too well. Thanos might be from 2014, but he knows everything that happens from Nebula’s memories and he seriously sees the Avengers as a threat rather than an obstacle. He actually got to see his ideal world after his death. It’s not like he was told that he succeeded and that some people were trying to undue it in the future. He knows the threat because of Nebula and sends the Nebula loyal to him through time. In Infinity War, Thanos spends half the movie underestimating the Avengers until the very end. Endgame he brings the big guns and does it himself because there is no underestimations here. He’s from the past, but he is smarter because he learned from the mistakes his future self makes. Don’t underestimate thanos just because he’s from 2014.
No no. Whether it's Thanos from years ago or the present one, he's still the same ball sack chin, Pokemon Bruce Willis guy who has taken it upon himself to play God and erase half of life. So he has just about everything to do with what happened.
The most underwhelming factor was having 2014 Thanos as the "ultimate bad guy" in the 3rd act, instead of 2023 Thanos; the stakes didn't feel as high and personal as they should've been.
@@gawkgawk1000 Well then you need to work around it. Either have the Thanos at the end be from, let's say 2018. Or 2023, but in the past. Or then don't kill Thanos in the beginning.
The thing they needed to do to make this fight good, is to do the long take of the avengers like the first avengers movie, but instead of just them, its one by one, everyone doing something, every single character. That would have made it amazing
Thanos kicking her ass into the dirt was a definite highlight of the battle. Funny how they establish a damn near supersayian character that eventualyl proceeds to fail at even the most basic of tasks. Like 500m obstacle track run glove delivery. And she can *fly*.
Endgame was filmed before captain marvel, so her abilities weren’t very clear. They just tried to make her important and although it didn’t work very well, she still proved a vital character in the battle.
Here's the thing: The fight in LOTR is like a multiplayer match in a videogame; It feels real, every soldier is out their with their own objectives and goals to complete on top of just killing the enemy, and every single soldier has the chance to turn the tide of the battle. There is a tangible sense that either side could win. The fight in End game is like a war sequence in a single player game; it's a backdrop to the player and no matter what you do it will always end the same way, even if you stand there and do nothing the fight will end the same way, either your NPC Allies will continue to progress in endless waves inevitably overrunning the enemy, or, your NPC Allies will kill enough enemies to trigger an unavoidable cutscene where you lose. There is a false sense of "anyone could win" but it's an easily shattered façade.
@The Path That Rocks I didn't have any real game in mind when I typed this comment. But for reference, one that I know well myself for the single player war sequences are any of the battles in Call of Duty: World at War. When I used to play it I'd sit back and simply spectate the two armies fight it out, inevitably the Allies would overwhelm the Axis forces every single time no matter what difficulty it was on simply because the Allies spawned endlessly and there where a limited number of Axis soldiers.
Generic Protagonist This. What spoiled the finale in Endgame is that even in the midst of a big battle, characters can stand around and talk and the opposing side won't even try to attack them while they're distracted.
I went back and watched Helms Deep to refresh my memory (it’s been like 20 years) and I think it’s an impossible comparison that you’re trying to make. Helms Deep in LOTR involves only a few individual standout main characters, who direct the battle, and they engage in solo one on one fights that we are privy to throughout the scene but for the most part the armies on both sides are full of no name extras who are there to be told what to do. Also, they are behind a castle wall, which gives the enemy a single obvious goal (get through the wall and overwhelm the defenders) and the heroes a single obvious purpose (defend the civilians). Because of these two facts, the few main characters can orchestrate huge actions involving hundreds of soldiers all working towards the same goal, and in this way the battle can be constructed into one single narrative: the first approach of the enemy, the loosing of the first volleys of arrows in return, the scaling of the castle walls, the repelling of the invaders, the explosion that finally breaches the wall, the enemy’s main charge, the counterattack by Aragorn’s forces, etc. etc. etc. This is all possible because the setting is a castle, and because there are only 4 or 5 main characters who need to get heroic action moments. Contrast that with what’s going on in Avengers: there’s no obvious obstacle for either the enemy or the heroes to overcome- just a mad scramble to find and control the glove- and every single character (like frigging 30 or 40 of them) are contractually required to get their own heroic moments of action. This is obviously going to degenerate into a melee free for all, and I dont think there’s a damn thing the Russos or anyone else could have done to make it more like Helms Deep. It’s an impossible task. I think considering the limitations/challenges of this scene it actually held together extremely well (I know this isn’t what you meant, but the visual continuity is actually astonishing; all of these incredible visuals happening simultaneously and you never lose track of the action, nor your orientation within the battle space; that’s a credit to the visual effects supervisor and the editor).
I knew it! I knew something was missing in the final battle. I told my friends... They called me a madman. I thought At least one person would be with me. But reality is often disappointing.
The portals scene really hyped me up, until the moment everyone clashed. Went downhill from there, and when me and my friend came out of theatres, he wouldn't believe me when I said the fight was underwhelming :(
@@k1legend175 Imo I like how they handled thor a bit. He was too comedic at times and was made the butt of the joke way too much than necessary, but him dealing with his mother's death as well as being sort of useless because of his regret and insecurities is really interesting.
@@benl.4577 it would’ve been fine if they had turned Thor back into how he was in infinity war later on around the time they start time travelling back for the stones but instead keeping him like that for the whole movie really just made a lot of the scenes with him way less serious then were intended to be because of Thor’s appearance
His examples was just copying Lord of the Rings, and I'll admit it would've been better but you could improve almost any movie scene by ripping off Lord of the Rings.
I'm considering writing an endgame scene for a fanfic, and you've made some excellent points that remind me of how I wanna approach character development: The whole. It can be overwhelming to focus on the development of each individual character, but treating groups as if they were their own characters helps simplify things, add more meaning to their growing relationships, and keep the readers reminded of their goals. Am I reading this right?
@@mad-dash6448 Slapping a face the size of his palm is more effective, not only will it brutally destroy the enemy's face, but the others' faces as well.
Build up is better than payoff most of the time because pay offs are hard to do you have to look at every aspect of the build up and payoff all of it and that hard.
I really like the idea of Hulk losing his absolute mind after Black Widow's death in your scenario. Not only does it give the idea of a shift in hope, but can also lead to more complications. Bruce has now ditched his effort to fix the hypothetical time machine in order to tear through the armies, and we've seen him before in the series of giving no care for the environment, so it possibly creates a bit of a weakness in the hypothetical fortification as he barrels out to thrash the army, leading to a mixture of both hope and dread. Yes, we see Hulk do his Hulk thing, but as a result it's also created at least TWO complications in the situation: one less person helping with the hypothetical Time Machine, and now part of their defenses have been traded for offense. Good tension.
in my head.. as he had describes it i saw it .. and had goose bumps from the sheer terror that would be displayed. also its a very tragic moment, because a charackter consumed by wrath, anger and pure hate is one of the saddest things that can happen. (the way of darth vader) one by one... an avanger would fall in this war and so the survivors would change. that would be a great story.
@@F76CC if there are things not to like why is it bad to address them? to critique art is to truly wish the best for it, and current marvel.. needs FAR more critique at the top line
when you said "... and the original 3 avengers, the last line of defence... and Cap kicking his ass with that hammer..." i literally got chills. that`d be SO EPIC fr.
Oh man I loved going to see LOTR on the big screen :,) my mom is the bestest. Then on my b day or x mas I could get one of those expensive detailed articulate figurines !!!
The main part i liked about your rewrite is the Hulk part. He never got a conclusion to his story, part one he gets his ass kicked and literally wont come out. Part 2....hes just a wimp now.
It's called subverting expectations just because it didn't serve wet dreams of fans doesn't mean it didn't serve the character arc. Bruce explains in the film in good dialogue about how he and hulk lost twice when they lost in infinity war. He is the one who brought them all back and it serves the purpose of narrative and his character arc. It breaks the cliche of hulk being hulky and nothing else. How long are we going to see the same old hulk? People really got bored in age of Ultron, at least they rediscovered his character with Ragnarok and pushed him to something else. The same with fat thor. It's good character writing and they definitely can't please everyone especially not fan boys who act like petulant children.
Marvel Studios would probably have liked a movie to explain more about the Hulk backstory after the travesty of "The Incredible Hulk". But they don't have rights, and you can't expect a Hulk backstory in a film like this, with such massive plots.
@Vela S If they even bother to respond to your comment I'm expecting to see "Rian Johnson is the best story teller of all time because he ALWAYS subverts your expectations." Or perhaps, "The only story is a story you'll never be able to predict". Since as you pointed out the formula for Hulk stories is nearly a century old. Truly it's even older than that when you look at the basic roots. And it's Jekyll and Hyde. Instead of having some magic potion do the deed it's radiation. Instead of it being good vs evil, it's more akin to the conscious vs subconscious. Let the inner anger and turmoil win, but at what cost. Because Hulk has been treated as the original "Super Powered Bad Side" that anime took to the 11th degree or even further. That means that the good, and the bad, parts of that trope come out in just about any Hulk story. The bad is when we realistically can't predict exactly what power level he's going to be at. The good part is that it's predictable what triggers it. Granted yes I know the comics have an actual better scale of how he would be per power level, but in the Movies specifically, even before Endgame "subverted our expectations", to me he always felt like he was never concrete.
Part 2 is, Hulk and Banner have reconciled and merged into one. He’s not nearly as aggressive, but he’s not a wimp either. The problem is, they just told us what the conclusion of the story was. It was a fine idea, but unlike Thor falling into depression, not the kind of thing you get to just leave offscreen.
I think one of the problems was they had already won. Yeah they added a new problem woth new thanos wanting to wipe everything. But there was no build up to that. They solved old thanos problem and now have to clean up the new issue.
To be completely fair, Helm's Deep was 40 minutes of runtime, crafted over 200+ days, written by one of the best and most famous writers of a series that can be considered the most grand of all time, not to mention a great director behind the camera, and wonderful actors playing out the scene.
Endgame was the most anticipated movie of the year and got the highest box office EVER. So this is not an excuse not to do the final battle as epic as possible
Not to mention the VFX artists who developed new technology to simulate crowds, the construction teams, costume and set designers, camera operators, cinematographers, and literally everyone else. And I'll make special mention of the fact the the soundtrack is the most masterfully crafted soundtrack in cinema history, with well over 60, easily rememberable leitmotifs of epic proportion. Clearly, many geniuses made those films.
While from a SKILL perspective you are right….from a money perspective you are wrong. This is the largest cinematic franchise in history and they couldn’t get a second opinion?
I don't even really like Infinity War. It's trying to do so much that it loses out on that classic marvel appeal (the character interactions) and it's novelty is in the fact of just how many characters are on screen.
True story: When Captain America picked up Thor’s Hammer and I was in the theater watching it I literally yelled “YEA CAPTAIN AMERICA!” Without even realizing it. I only realized I did that when my brother shook my arm and was like “dude we are in a theater.”
I'll admit, I enjoy the final battle for what it's worth, but the problem is, as cool as it was to see all these characters go into battle, the fight itself was still a whole lot of flash with very little substance.
Improved how ? Because in every appearance her powers grow and get stronger compare her from age of Ultron to endgame her powers have developed by leaps and bounds and her character changes and improves so I'm wondering what you mean
My biggest issue with this final battle is: I don't know what the heck Thanos was trying to achieve? Is he just trying to kill the Avengers? If so, just blast them from the sky with his spaceship cannons. Is he trying to get back the Infinity Gauntlet? I feel like the fight comes too late. The good guys have done the saving. They've already altered time and brought everyone forward, so Thanos isn't trying to stop them, so what is he actually trying to accomplish, and why does he need an enormous army to achieve it?
basically he was just pissed off that his "work" was undone.. so now he wanted to kill everyone so that no one would undo his work.. & start life from scratch again.. 😬 i guess that's what he meant by “I will shred this universe to it’s last atom”
He wanted to retrieve the Infinity Gauntlet so he could rebuild the galaxy, since the Avengers undoing the snap made him realize that no matter how noble he thinks his cause is, there will always be people too stubborn to not try and reverse it.
To be fair, when the red-eyed, raging Wanda came roaring in to claim her pound of purple flesh, it was pretty great. Saving Black Panther almost seemed done by accident. This was all about bloodlust, sadistic torture, and coldhearted revenge. And I was here for it. There's no one else they could have used there that would have brought the emotion to that scene the way Scarlet Witch did.
i mean imagine the rush you would feel if you saw scarlet witch getting close while fighting while Thanos is in the back and the camera focus goes from her to Thanos. While they fight a few grunts and minor soldiers, the audience will be hoping for one of the strongest avengers to take on Thanos, and that rush of excitement will come crashing onto the viewer when she finally takes the fight to him When she randomly comes in, it’s good but could’ve been way better
Just saying the title and thumbnail and pretty rude Ngl a lot a work went into it . Also people don't want to watch a 30m vid so yeah what you expect.Tbh it was a pretty good climax but it wasn't a 10/10 climax that's for sure. Infinity war was a 10/10 for sure
@@ug333 I respect you and your decide to dislike this man's video but it was a _joke_ and I understand that you might not have agreed with the creator's viewpoints.
Watching this in theater, I remember how unimpressed I was by this fight. Thanos' army felt like a CGI flood whose sole purpose was to prevent a direct fight with Thanos and the Avengers.
@@jeremytesticleman1607 yeah Thanos was the reason Infinity War was so memorable. In Endgame it’s not even the same Thanos, it’s a lame generic version of him who just wants to destroy the Universe because why not?!
We all wanted to see a direct fight with Thanos. But instead we got the same thing we’ve seen in the first three Avengers movies: all the heroes fight a generic lifeless CGI army. This was the culmination of like 10 years of storytelling and this was the best they could come up with…so disappointing but oh well lol.
LOTR Helms Deep battle had the question: "Will our heroes survive and win?" Marvel's Endgame battle had the question: "How will our heroes survive and win?" Two very different ways to depict a battle. Everyone going into the movie knew our heroes would win and snap everyone back into existence. The question was HOW.
@@AnudeepRathod Dude, we already knew that Thanos wasn’t getting the gauntlet, don’t be daft, I knew Disney couldn’t afford losing so many characters. Stop trying so hard to be different my guy, that may have been the question that the directors where trying to make the audience think, but not many people where thinking that unless u where a brainless 10 year old.
Exactly, characters have never been vulnerable in MCU. If RDJ and Chris had not decided to leave the MCU, we wouldn't even have had their death and "retirement" scene. MCU is telling a hero story, not "a story." So their heroes don't die. Does that mean the comparison with LoTR is wrong?
So what's the problem with a big fight scene? We waited ten years for a big bad showdown and got it. It wasn't the climax - it was the build-up to the climax (Tony getting the gauntlet).
What's missing is what's missing from the entire MCU: The feeling of consequences. There was never a sense of risk, of a possibility of losing, of anything else BUT a child throwing their toys at each other. Would have been interesting to see a comparison against the end battle of Infinity War, as that was a siege with barriers breaking and losses.
Thats why i loved infinty war. I felt thaons power. In endgame not so much. If infinity war would have been the end of the mcu, that would have been so unexpected and amazing.
100% Time travel that results in characters being un-killed is stupid. I don't mean reversing The Snap. That is something that was done, and we knew it would be undone. But when characters like Gamora and Thanos die, only for the movie to spit-out an alt-past version of them to keep them in the story, it feels cheap. Like "The original version is dead, but this is a new version with none of the character development" Also...any time travel that uses stuff like 'creating a bunch of alternate realities' feels extra cheap. So what....EVERY character has an infinite number of themselves? Of their souls?Like...."present Gamora" and "present Black Widow" have their souls exchanged for the soul stone....but then there are multiverse versions of their souls that are 'alive and well' so to speak? The minute you do the multiverse, and just make the story we've been watching "one of many ways it played out" it feels super cheap. Also...time travel only works when there is a very specific set of rules laid out, and things are executed in a very logical way that makes sense according to the established rules. Endgame just did whatever it wanted to and played a big old "well, nobody really knows exactly how any of this time travel stuff works" and that feels entirely unsatisfying. Even worse when they could have kept Thanos alive, hidden on a planet with the gauntlet protected by his army....and just made the movie a big mission to go behind enemy lines, get the gauntlet, bring it back, and undo the snap. No need for the insanely unnecessary time travel plot or any of the excessive cameos/retreads of popular scenes from the history of the franchise.
@@ChrisPeteG You also have to consider how damaging undoing the snap would be. Plenty of people have probably moved on from the loss of loved ones since years have passed. People have remarried or found new partners or made new friendships. It just seems like a total mess to shove everyone back again.
The enitre time I watched the final fight of Endgame, I just thought to myself, "yeah, this is nice, but Captain Marvel could just do it on her own" and then she comes and does it on her own except Thanos who was protected by Plot Amor
I wouldn't say Plot armor because the Power stone has literally ALL the power on the universe so yeah Thanos using the Power stone to counter CM was actually really smart.
Paul Young I don't know if you noticed but when Thanos closes his fist with the gauntlet is when he can use the stones whether it's one or 2 or all 6 so when Captain Marvel literally stopped his snap well he couldn't close his fist to use the stones so him grabbing the power stone with his other hand to harness that inmense power followed by hitting her with it was smart. I agree that they made her too OP but they definitely found something that can counter her massive power
Juan Pedro_ MOV Honestly, Thanks vs. Captain Marvel was a decent fight on its own; they were pretty evenly matched on a physical level (though she obviously has the speed and flight advantage) prior to her absorbing energy from the stones, which was the point where she started no-selling his blows. The Power Stone sucker-punch was an effective way of dealing with an enemy who’d just powered up to an extreme degree. The main issue with Captain Marvel vs. Thanos is that she can casually decimate most of his forces on the way to fighting him.
my big problem with the fight when I saw it was "wow, this is cool, but i feel like just a couple of these characters have the power to take thanos down really easily but that would be Too Boring for marvel so they just downplay all these really cool abilities for Plot Convenience" yknow? so many of the characters have amazing over powered abilities and they just kinda get... swept aside so the movie could show other, less powered characters punching people.
not going to lie..if they killed a couple of people off in the final battle it would added stakes...those people would stay dead like hawkeye cough maybe nebula maybe a few others like buckey or groot so thor joining is more needed...this 25 film serial would of been perfect then with real stakes...it would of been worthy of making its money..for sure that way...but nope they ruined it
Half of the battle is the characters trying to make it through the hoard of enemies with the Gauntlet in order to complete what is actually the objective. Like... you guys don't even make sense.
@@Helldog6 Not really. Most of the characters are fighting the army while a few individually try to get the gauntlet. They would have all rushed Thanos if they were focused on the objective.

Dude no way. The point of a super hero is to inspire hope. It’s not a depressing WW2 story or fantasy story like everything else he compared it to. He made a straw man saying this should be a dreadful battle when that is not the point of the hope superhero’s inspire. This battle isn’t about that or analysing deeper into that. It’s the triumphant return of the hero’s who inspire hope and making it a dark dreadful battle would be terrible
@@TrueGamer22887 I disagree. Inspiration comes from overcoming somthing. The feeling of triumph that comes from overcoming a hill is not as impressive as the feeling of conquering a mountain. :{)
Your Dog Fluffy you mean like overcoming 10 years of enemies and a part 1 movie that is integral to this one? Like this wasn’t a trilogy like lord of the rings or the Batman movies or spider man movies it’s the cumulation of a decade of films and shouldn’t be separated from them especially from infinity war. No one is watching this without seeing infinity war. This guy based his whole video on ignoring 10 years of movies and the legit part one of this. This and infinity war might as well be one movie. He made his analysis as if someone went to the finale of a show without watching a single episode
@@TrueGamer22887 Again, I disagree. It's because of the prior 10 years of films that the movie payed off so well (*especially* the portal scene), but... it wasn't as exciting as it *could* have been. Take the final battle for example. It's the climatic confrontation that has had *10* *years* of building up to! Yet while it's entertaining... it feels somewhat lacking. All the leading women roles just *happen* to come together while everyone else is who knows where, Captain Marvel could have basically taken out the whole army and Thanos herself (which downplays him severely as a threat), Dr. Strange babysat a waterfall, Black Panther practically only ran, Star Lord was a joke, the armies that came through the portals were strictly background (except the magic shields during the bombardment), half the characters practically had no spot light (Hulk, Groot, Drax [got 2 seconds], Iron Patriot, Rocket, etc), and overall... It wasn't gripping. The battle felt over the moment everyone showed up. The only emotional weight felt was Captain America standing alone, the portal scene, and Iron Man's death. For being the climax of 10 *years* of film... it felt moderately wasted.
The enemy has to look like its a threat. If its not, then the viewer will see no point in the conflict. And you can't rely on past fights either. The Army's is Endgame could probably have been removed, and the fight would have more or less been the same.
Rewrite for Hulk at the Final Battle: It would’ve had Iron Man, Cap and Thor fight Thanos and during the 3 way battle where Thanos is winning, the ground starts to shake. The entire world would shake, a giant green ram shoots out from the sky and Gigantic amounts of green energy just explodes everywhere and it’s revealed to be the Hulk. Not only is Hulk angry again but he’s in his World Breaker Form. Both the heroes and the villains are shocked and scared. Hulk let’s out a monstrous roar and proceeds to decimate Thanos’s forces. Turing the tide. Hulk then would fight Thanos. Hulk would then absolutely beat the crap out of Thanos and is winning effortlessly. Thanos realizing that he is loosing, he tells the Sanctuary (his warship in the sky) to raid a giant laser at Hulk. The giant laser beam would hit Hulk and send him flying. He’s able to regenerate his injuries but stumbles and is dazed by the beam and is far away from the others.
It really could mean two very opposite things. "I like it, I understand why you criticize it but I don't wanna listen because I enjoy liking it and don't wanna change my mind." "I liked it, but now that you're saying that I'm able to see it in a very different angle."
Wow. “You can’t do what a child does with his toys” This is so perfect! When I was explaining to my friends why that big fight was so in-epic to me (as I explained liking Infinity War better), my reasoning was that it felt like the final battles I would do “while playing with my toys as a kid.” *Very* apt description

The idea of Hulk going into a rage over Natashas supposed death within the battle wouldve been amazing
I thought maybe he could get so angry his heart would glow red from his blood boiling and the camera pans to the other characters watching hulk's normal green skin to a more scarlet red, then it switches back to a close up of hulks eyes as the tears on his face turns into vapor. I'm sure my lil fan fiction breaks rules within the marvel universe but still, sounds like a pretty cool sequence to me
@@javiermachado10well it certainly hits harder than endgame did. Fucking hulk got done so dirty :(
@BlueChipSigns I figured the Endgame is a reflection of what a puss Mark Ruffalo is....
MCU has completely nerfed Hulk. He didn't even get a quick rematch with Thanos
One of the most significant things wasted was Drax and his backstory
I agree with you, however they only had so much screen time, so focusing on Drax would mean they'd have to remove something else such as ant man meeting his daughter, then people would complain that we never saw that. It's kind of a lose-lose for the Russo's in that respect.
Not only him, Nebula was sadly put aside.

Holy shit I've finally found someone puts it into words. The hollow feeling I felt watching that final battle is finally explained! Thank you sir.
Its nice to hear someone else say it, everyone I talked to IRL and online found the fight so epic and I thought it was so heartless and boring

That's true. It really does put into perspective how Infinity War's climax is a billion times more exciting
@@pichitosmalltown3239 Just across the board, Infinity War is a much stronger movie and really deserved a better sequel. Endgame was too unfocused and cluttered.

I agree on the first half, the rest tho? Ehhh...for me the climax in Wakanda was one of the worse ones in the franchise

The war in Endgame was a victory lap, not an actual struggle.

Normis Yeah. Seeing him beheaded at the start of the movie ruined the movie immediately.
John Smith i dont know all about that🤷♂️,i feel like thanos had his time to shine, the movie was about the avengers and it only needed okay villain
I also dont like how they just made him a comically evil villain.
The most underwhelming factor was having 2014 Thanos as the "ultimate bad guy" in the 3rd act, instead of 2023 Thanos; the stakes didn't feel as high and personal as they should've been.

Actual conversation when watching Endgame with my buds:
"What's Captain Marvel's powers?"
"Damage."
"Why is she here?"
"Damage."
More like:
- What's Captain Marvel's powers?
- Gender empowering...
her power is simply *Getting Stronger* with no explanation whatsoever
I mean add game was filmed before captain marvel....
Here's the thing:
The fight in LOTR is like a multiplayer match in a videogame; It feels real, every soldier is out their with their own objectives and goals to complete on top of just killing the enemy, and every single soldier has the chance to turn the tide of the battle.
Perfect analogy
@The Path That Rocks cant kill her though cause that would be sexist and we have to hold Hollywood to their patriarchy crimes
I completely agree this was an excellent analogy! Take the like
@The Path That Rocks I didn't have any real game in mind when I typed this comment.
Tru, i felt it the moment they clashed
“Congratulations you’re a prophet” “No, I’m a survivor”
The portals scene really hyped me up, until the moment everyone clashed. Went downhill from there, and when me and my friend came out of theatres, he wouldn't believe me when I said the fight was underwhelming :(

@@benl.4577 it would’ve been fine if they had turned Thor back into how he was in infinity war later on around the time they start time travelling back for the stones but instead keeping him like that for the whole movie really just made a lot of the scenes with him way less serious then were intended to be because of Thor’s appearance

Seriously, I hate when people criticize without giving any insight on how something could've been better, just makes them seem like negative assholes

Wait hulk was in the movie?
I loved the buildup to the fight instead of the actual fight.
Yes! The build up it's the one that feels incredible because it actually relials in everything that came before and lead to this moment

I'm so jealous.. I was still a bit too young to watch them when they came out so I never got to see them in the theaters..
@Vela S If they even bother to respond to your comment I'm expecting to see "Rian Johnson is the best story teller of all time because he ALWAYS subverts your expectations."
Or perhaps, "The only story is a story you'll never be able to predict".
I feel similarly; it felt like they killed the Hulk offscreen after a good bit of character development over several movies. Hurt bad.
I honestly thought that infinity war had the best story/battle arc. So well executed
That's the point. Endgame was the story oriented segment whereas end game is the climax to the it

To be fair, when the red-eyed, raging Wanda came roaring in to claim her pound of purple flesh, it was pretty great. Saving Black Panther almost seemed done by accident. Time Travel ruins any story. It lessens the impact of actions and consequences. I enjoyed the movie but Infinity War was better.
Not necessarily. X-Men days of future past does time travel really well. And I agree with you. Infinity war > Endgame
I prefer Endgame over infinity war but I do agree time traveling is confusing.
100%
Time travel that results in characters being un-killed is stupid. I don't mean reversing The Snap. That is something that was done, and we knew it would be undone.
But when characters like Gamora and Thanos die, only for the movie to spit-out an alt-past version of them to keep them in the story, it feels cheap. Like "The original version is dead, but this is a new version with none of the character development"
Also...any time travel that uses stuff like 'creating a bunch of alternate realities' feels extra cheap.
Unless it's Attack on Titan
The enitre time I watched the final fight of Endgame, I just thought to myself, "yeah, this is nice, but Captain Marvel could just do it on her own" and then she comes and does it on her own except Thanos who was protected by Plot Amor
Avengers are slightly inconvenienced.
Captain Marvel: “Fine, I’ll do it myself.”
Feels like the final battle of endgame is like a team forgetting the objective and just focused on kills
not going to lie..if they killed a couple of people off in the final battle it would added stakes...those people would stay dead like hawkeye cough maybe nebula maybe a few others like buckey or groot so thor joining is more needed...this 25 film serial would of been perfect then with real stakes...it would of been worthy of making its money..for sure that way...but nope they ruined it
And on posing for Facebook photo like retards. Taking of their helmets in the middle of battle...

I always hate the hordes of enemies that die quickly, just feels like pointless fluff to the battle
@@YonkoAgenda that's just classic comic books though

Rewrite for Hulk at the Final Battle:
It would’ve had Iron Man, Cap and Thor fight Thanos and during the 3 way battle where Thanos is winning, the ground starts to shake.
I loved the Avengers: Endgame's climax however I do understand your criticism
Cosmo the blue peashooter same
this comment be like: "i like your criticism, however i dont care"
It really could mean two very opposite things.
"I like it, I understand why you criticize it but I don't wanna listen because I enjoy liking it and don't wanna change my mind."
"I liked it, but now that you're saying that I'm able to see it in a very different angle."
@@xord1946 I mean the second one
@@phrog7193 not exactly... care but I still would love the battle....
Wow. “You can’t do what a child does with his toys”
This is so perfect! When I was explaining to my friends why that big fight was so in-epic to me (as I explained liking Infinity War better), my reasoning was that it felt like the final battles I would do “while playing with my toys as a kid.”
*Very* apt description
Captain America going back in time... to look like Joe Biden.
They should have cast Joe Biden.
Joe biden is canonicaly confirmed to be older than odin, so ur comment is kind of stupid imo.

@@delta-a17 I saw a comment that said they should have casted Stan Lee for that bit.
