My family is Irish American and our tradition is to take the tree down January 6, the Feast of the Three Kings. It’s considered bad luck to take it down before then. It follows the tradition of the 12 Days of Christmas.
I put up my tree on December 6th which is St Nicholas day and I take it down on January 6th which is Three Kings day! Happy New Year to you both, may it be with Filled with Health and Happiness!!!

I am looking forward to your big stock up grocery haul in January. I have several crockpots & use all of them when we have family gatherings. Also, 2 of my digital crockpots have gone out on me so I was glad I had a backup. I had non digital crockpot that we received as a wedding gift last almost 40 years. The Lord has been so good to me for my almost 67 years on this earth I usually take my decor down the first or 2nd week of January. This year my husband and I are both sick with flu or a virus so I suppose we will get to it when we can! Happy New Year🎉
Who said grown men can’t cry obviously didn’t know what they were talking about. I’ve seen my Dad cry and it taught me the depth of his love. I’ve always sometimes picture even Jesus weeping which I’m sure he has for each of us that’s what a loving God does it shows just how much he loves us. Many wear their hearts on their sleeves but to watch your Dad weep it is just so touching and makes me a better person for it. God bless you both. Glad your brother is doing well. Glad to hear I am not the only person who keeps the Christmas tree up into January! When I was 22, I kept the tree up until Valentines Day. I joked I had a dead tree in the living room. I lived in Ca. It was my first tree in my own place. I am a couple of years older than you now.
The picture of Addison standing by the manger is so cute. So people are telling you that you have too much stuff but they keep sending stuff to you through the mail. Hmmm!!! It's hard to get rid of something that's been "gifted" to you. I hope y'all didn't have severe weather early this morning. We were under a tornado watch for several hours. Thankfully there wasn't any damage. If you think about it give us a final count of how many Christmas cards you received this year. :)

Well, my new years resolution is to stay healthy! I'm 67, & discovered I'm sensitive, or intolerant to gluten...I'm feeling better after only 2 days off of it...its not easy though. We'll be taking our decorations down next weekend probably. We've enjoyed them so much.

I painted one for each of my family with a gift card. That was all the Christmas I could do., but we enjoyed each other and being all together was all that mattered to me. Addison was the best Mary I’ve ever seen. She was the only one I’ve ever seen who picked that precious baby up and love on him like Mothers would do. She’s an angel of a child and Avery is right behind her. Y’all are so blessed. I’m thankful Gerald is doing well and also that you go visit him as often as you can. Praying 2025 is a better year. This year has been so hard. I lost so many good friends this year. I guess as we age that is to be expected. I’m just thankful I am assured my Jesus walks with me and talks with me and that means I’m never alone even though it feels like it sometimes. You two are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever known and I thank God for you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️

My oldest Son, the one in Michigan working on his PhD got to come home for a week!! As we speak he is getting ready to board his plane home! I was so happy to spend a week with him!! Miss Marie, we take down the tree about the 2nd week of January or when the 2 cats start taking down the ornaments for us!! New Years resolutions... I don't think i have any, I'm just thankful for my 3 kids, husband and my parents that are healthy!. I will keep folks in my prayers in the purple notebook. My CT came back relatively well. I need an Ultrasound in January to take a closer look at something that i hope will turn out to be nothing. Cancer makes you wake up and realize what's really important in life and what's to let go of forever. I had 4th stage Ovarian Cancer in 2007 and fully recovered. I send healing prayers to anyone dealing with cancer in their life..

It's wonderful how you visit your brother. Regarding your pots, crock pots, etc: I have large pots stored in my utility room that I only use occasionally, like in the summer for blanching vegetables. I also have a pressure cooker/canner. I may not use them often, but keeping them until I need them has saved us a lot of money over the years.

I have one crock pot, but really wish I had 2 or 3. Pantry looks great!! A mystery video!! My Walmart in 2 weeks is going to go thru a remodel. I was told it would be better to do a pickup instead of going into an upside down store. I do know they are enlarging the store and having walk in freezers. Yep, walk in freezers. Never have done a pickup before, I hope it is easy. Yall had a wonderful Christmas for sure. I'm behind on everything ❤❤❤

Happy Sunday! A suggestion for your pots and bowls is to set aside (in a box or somewhere you can’t see) and put a time will tell limit on it. For example, maybe 3 or 6 months and if you haven’t used them in that time, maybe it’s safe to get rid of them. As far as the large pot and crock pots, if those are things you don’t want to part with, I think it’s totally fine not to. But for the other things, I’ve done the time will tell method, and it really works. Have a great week! Looking forward to your prepping haul!

I'll probably start taking down the decor on 1/1 and be finished on the weekend. I get very busy with work after the first and want everything back in its place before my job takes over my time for 3 months ;) That's why this year I decided to put everything up around mid-November. I do watch Kim’s channel as well! Marie I think you should keep what bowls and crock pots you want to!! If they have a place to live when not in use that’s great! I don’t have a lot of storage so I try to keep things at a minimum, BUT I have some weird kitchen gadget/bowl addiction I think!! I fight the urge to buy them if I am out or even shopping online! It use to be shoes but now it’s pretty bowls and pots! LOL!! So glad to hear Gerald is well. I’m with him, Captain D’s dish is yummy!! We don’t get it often but I do enjoy it when we do. The Lord has been so good to me for my almost 67 years on this earth I usually take my decor down the first or 2nd week of January. This year my husband and I are both sick with flu or a virus so I suppose we will get to it when we can! Happy New Year🎉

Who said grown men can’t cry obviously didn’t know what they were talking about. I’ve seen my Dad cry and it taught me the depth of his love. I’ve always sometimes picture even Jesus weeping which I’m sure he has for each of us that’s what a loving God does it shows just how much he loves us. Many wear their hearts on their sleeves but to watch your Dad weep it is just so touching and makes me a better person for it. God bless you both. Glad your brother is doing well. Glad to hear I am not the only person who keeps the Christmas tree up into January! When I was 22, I kept the tree up until Valentines Day. I joked I had a dead tree in the living room. I lived in Ca. It was my first tree in my own place. I am a couple of years older than you now.

Well, my new years resolution is to stay healthy! I'm 67, & discovered I'm sensitive, or intolerant to gluten...I'm feeling better after only 2 days off of it...its not easy though.
We'll be taking our decorations down next weekend probably. We've enjoyed them so much.

I painted one for each of my family with a gift card. That was all the Christmas I could do., but we enjoyed each other and being all together was all that mattered to me. Addison was the best Mary I’ve ever seen. She was the only one I’ve ever seen who picked that precious baby up and love on him like Mothers would do. She’s an angel of a child and Avery is right behind her. Y’all are so blessed. I’m thankful Gerald is doing well and also that you go visit him as often as you can. Praying 2025 is a better year. This year has been so hard. I lost so many good friends this year. I guess as we age that is to be expected. I’m just thankful I am assured my Jesus walks with me and talks with me and that means I’m never alone even though it feels like it sometimes. You two are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever known and I thank God for you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️

Thanks for the great devotional, which I look forward to. I loved seeing the play. Addison was a sweet & loving Mary. Praying for the ones in your prayer list & others. It's wonderful how you visit your brother. Regarding your pots, crock pots, etc: I have large pots stored in my utility room that I only use occasionally, like in the summer for blanching vegetables. I also have a pressure cooker/canner. I may not use them often, but keeping them until I need them has saved us a lot of money over the years.

I have one crock pot, but really wish I had 2 or 3. Pantry looks great!! A mystery video!! My Walmart in 2 weeks is going to go thru a remodel. I was told it would be better to do a pickup instead of going into an upside down store. I do know they are enlarging the store and having walk in freezers. Yep, walk in freezers. Never have done a pickup before, I hope it is easy. Yall had a wonderful Christmas for sure. I'm behind on everything ❤❤❤

Happy Sunday! A suggestion for your pots and bowls is to set aside (in a box or somewhere you can’t see) and put a time will tell limit on it. For example, maybe 3 or 6 months and if you haven’t used them in that time, maybe it’s safe to get rid of them. As far as the large pot and crock pots, if those are things you don’t want to part with, I think it’s totally fine not to. But for the other things, I’ve done the time will tell method, and it really works. Have a great week! Looking forward to your prepping haul!

I'll probably start taking down the decor on 1/1 and be finished on the weekend. I get very busy with work after the first and want everything back in its place before my job takes over my time for 3 months ;) That's why this year I decided to put everything up around mid-November. Marie I think you should keep what bowls and crock pots you want to!! If they have a place to live when not in use that’s great! I don’t have a lot of storage so I try to keep things at a minimum, BUT I have some weird kitchen gadget/bowl addiction I think!! I fight the urge to buy them if I am out or even shopping online! It use to be shoes but now it’s pretty bowls and pots! LOL!!
