Welcome to UA-cam Sarah! Awesome video and amazing images.... Nailed it!
Thank you Nigel!! I’m so excited to meet you!!
You're a natural Sarah - nicely done!
Thank you Mark! I appreciate it more than you know!!
Right on Sarah! I've been nagging Viktoria to start a channel, less crusty old guys talking photography and more women I say, good for you. Great start!!
Thanks Adam! Yes! More women I agree!! I can’t wait to grow this thing.. next video coming soon!!
Great stuff! That’s the photos, video on the photograph & your excitement!!! I can’t help but get excited to go take pictures!
That makes me very happy to hear!! :D Thanks for watching the video!
I’m no photographer but wow you do an amazing job. And I love watching you videos😊
You are a welcome addition to landscape photographers to follow on youtube, Sarah!
Nice pointers about self-portaits (and just about adding a person to the scene) that you gave here, thank you!
Have to agree with you about gaining confidence about myself when I started taking more of these self-portaits myself in the last summer. I never really liked taking pictures about myself, but when I started to add myself on landscapes, it made me a lot more confident about being in the front of the camera (and seeing myself in awesome scenes, it really does boost my overall confidence a bit).
..now I need to learn how to give directions to someone else, as I am learning to shoot with someone else in the frame.
Tommi Mäkinen Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!! Yes confidence to just go out and take the actual self portrait is key. Once you take them they totes aren’t scary anymore!!
Awesome video! I’m already looking to improve my self portraits so I appreciate your tips! Cutting the dress is a great idea, never thought of it
Wow what a brilliant first video with some fantastic tips. Thankyou.
Thank you! I’m happy you think so!! 😁
I am glad you started a youtube channel ever since I saw you promoting the the Shimoda X30 I said surely she has YT channel but at that time you haven't. You make amazing photos!
Hi Sarah, you are like the Amy Lee ( Evanescene) of "Selfie Landscape" photography ... you rock and so do your photos!
Great video and great advice on these kind of photos. You take wonderful self-portraits and landscape photos. Found you first on Instagram! Keep on the good work!
So fare Nothing to be ashamed of. Well done! Just keep on, love Your image and composition, all of them can stand on their own feet, so You posing in them just raise the level!
Thank you Jhonny!! I appreciate your kind words!!
Great first video, learnt a lot from it.
liked the idea of ENVIRONMENTAL SELF-PORTRAITS , great video
Thank you so much, your advice is very helpful 😊🙏
Melanie Müller Thank you for watching!!
Perfect timing for starting UA-cam - can't wait to see your channel grow. Your photos are brilliant so this will be great to learn your processes ♡♡

I am currently in calagry visiting rocky mountain and enjoy the photography. Hope sometime meet you sarah
Great video, thank you
Excellent first video Sarah! Love your work and it’s great to see you getting on UA-cam to share your expertise! 😃
Thank you so much! I appreciate it!!
Awesome that you started a channel, womanpower in photography-youtubeland 💪🏽 I really like videos in the field the best, you learn the most by seeing others do it, potentially interchange with shots at home for further context/explanation
Yes! I agree! I am hoping to do a mix. Shoot in the field stuff and then explain at home.. Mark Denney does a wonderful job of this!! :D. Thank you for your support.
Love the video. Would love suggestions kn focusing with self portraits. Thats what i seem to struggle with the most! Keep the videos coming!
Andy Wolff thanks!! Happy to hear you like it! :)
Good job Sarah. You mustered the courage to start a photography vlog. You did a very good job, hope to see the next one soon. Who know's if I will eventually have the courage to start one myself?
Thank you so much! I am looking forward to making the next one!! 😁
Nicely done Sarah - beautiful images! You are amazingly talented!
Thank you so much! I appreciate it :D
I was sent by “the photographic eye” channel. I watched a couple of vids and liked them so much I decided to start at the first one with intent to watch them all. I subbed and followed. I see you usually reply to the comments. I know it’s hard to comment to all as you grow but hope to get a comment when you have a chance. Good light from AZ. Looking forward to watching more.
Of course I will reply my friend :) Thank you so much for watching some vids and stickin around! I appreciate it very much. I am headed to London & Scotland tomorrow on a few adventures.. can't wait to share them here!
Glad to see you finally on UA-cam. Subscribed. 👍
Matthew Henry Thanks!! Happy to be here!! :)

Great Job on the video Sarah. I'll just go on and stick to my jeans and Jacket. ;) Love those images of you in that purple dress.
Thank you Borijan!! I am happy you like and thank you for all your support!
Dang... from Deviant to influencer in no time flat. Awesome to see you you’re doing great things! Grtz from the Low Countries.
Timmy Fane oh yes! Deviant Art!! :)
Great job Sarah fantastic images you create just stunning 😀👍✌
Paul Thomson Photography thank you Paul!! Appreciate it!!
Awesome! i love your work
Thank you!! I appreciate it :D
Amazing shots. love your work.
Mark Bowering Photography thank you!! Appreciate it.
Well done Sarah! I love your self portraits. 2 questions: what settings do you use? Do you composite 2 images to get the stillness of the water? What I would love more of is editing tips and tricks
This is a good question, can't wait to see the answer. If an ND was used, for sure it must be a composite.
Hi Bonnie! I hope you are doing well. This will all be coming out in a video very soon! :D
Great to see your channel is up, nicely done Sarah 🤗.. by far the most difficult issue for me is the 'pose'.. but then I'm generally a work in progress 😄
Hey Robert! Happy you like!! The pose is def the most challenging.. the options are so endless it can be overwhelming!!
3 years 2 months and 11 days later!!! OMG, what a difference!! I recognize the face, but the voice? So young sounding. I would never guve away a womens age, but your voice has the pitch of a 20 year old. First off, I don't like my stomach either. My legs are hairy with no hair on my head, and i can't seem to find a dress that flatters my figure. 😊.
I just had to give back and watch your first video. You've come a long way, ma lady!!
Don't know how cutting Slit in my dress will help, I'll have to ask the wife. Lol .great video
great video. but also, you have amazing hair!
Sarah, How do you "focus" on you? Or is focus not an issue since you set your aperture at F11, or F16, etc,? Thank you.
Hell yeah chica awesome job you did great audio and video were spot on this will change when you go out in the field obviously but excellent intro....not sure if i could pull of the dress though ;)
Thank you! You have been so kind with your support!! :D I am sure you can pull off a dress!!
Sarah Lyndsay hahaha you do not want that image in your head 🤣
Considering the notable names in the comment section, it would seem you've been dragging your feet a little. You appear to be well on your way to finding your groove with good content, so carry on. We look forward to more. 👍👍
tjsinva I appreciate your encouragement more than you’ll ever know. I am enjoying the content creating journey so far!!
I don't think I will every self portrait myself wearing a dress, but nevertheless your video is really interesting and love the photos you take of yourself immersed in beautiful landscapes. Good luck with your channel! Your personality is amazing :)
Thank you so much!! It means more to me than you will ever know :D
Being an older, bald and heavy dude with a bad posture was the main reason why I chose to hide BEHIND a camera. I am confident that I dont look great on images. Yeah, I would need models, but being old and bald...
karlthetrader yes the cool thing is this can apply to shooting models! Doesn’t have to be selfie style :)
Interesting video, not into dresses though so I wont be following that advice
Thanks for giving it a watch Bruce :)
