Hey Dave,
Tinkering !
Tinkering is what car guys do.
Usually with enough tinkering you achieve positive results.
Which you did !
Way to go Dave.
Now a certain young lady owes you a sweetheart kiss for being a top notch tinkerer.
Or not.
Keep on keepin on Dave.
Jess is all about them kisses!
I had an f-150 with 300 six it needed to be rebuilt. To get a little more running from the motor I tried Sea Foam it worked like charm for a year and half. You have one of my favorite channels and an understanding and good looking wife.
Thanks for watching us! Jess said thanks!
Not a bad little burn out, should be a handy rig, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Hoping it will be usable soon. Thanks for coming back!
Atta boy Dave . It does sound good. At least you now have a reliable shop truck and once you plug the holes and put in the sound deadner it will be perfect.👍👍🇨🇦
Honestly, it's like air conditioning there are so many holes!! Need to plug em up!
@@madgingercustoms hahaha that’s only because it’s January Dave, think July/August. 👍🇨🇦
@@danobrien3109 Truth!!
Nice job Dave! A little common sense goes a long way! Can't wait to see the Savoy! Love Flatheads! Jess is sure great on that camera in a moving vehicle too.
Common sense is a super power nowadays! Thanks for checking it out!
It’s coming along nicely, it runs really good, nice burnout 👍
It's getting there. Just got killmat for the inside. It's way too loud and breezy in there lol.
At least your got the right size air cleaner as your motor works like an air pump 👍🏻🇦🇺.
Yeah its a standard 14" style unit.
You and SleeperDude are a couple of my favorite because you’re close to what I’m doing out in my garage.
I was just wondering, does Mad Ginger know about SleeperDude. Then I heard “Dollar Gentral”, YES!
Love Sleeperdude!! Amazing content that brings the whole family together!
Nice job on that truck! I'm a Mopar guy , but I do like Fords over GM. Keeping old iron on the road is awesome...
I need an old Mopar don't I!!! Maybe that will be the first thing we try to get this year.
@@madgingercustoms that would be awesome! I'm redoing a 55 Savoy 2 door right now, has a 230 flat head 6 and a powerflite 2 speed automatic. Engine is in the shop getting reworked now, then with any luck I can drive it this spring!
That’s a good looking pickup! Good work!
It's not bad for a trash can!!
I like the chicken running lights. Good video.
The chicken chasers will be staying!! I like em too.
G'day, All the best in the new year from Brooksys channel!! 🙂
Happy New Year 🎊🎊
If luies ck was a hot rodder 😅 nocr video man. Love the truck
Someone else just mentioned him lol.
Nice!!!! I say tackle the rear rebuild. Ford 9" is cake to build. I have an Aussie Locker in the 9" in the Ranger and it holds up to the 37s. It bangs like hell in parking lots, but for a lunch box locker I'm happy with it. There is a true Detroit locker in the 9" in the Chevy but i haven't put any miles on and can't comment on how noisy it is. If I lived closer, I'd be happy to help you set it up. Otherwise, I'll help anyway I can if you go that route.
I should really do it myself. Buy the tools once and handle it. I appreciate the willingness to help out!! I had a Detroit in a D44 rear and a lockrite in the front of my cherokee. I think either style would do the job and I don't mind the clicking.
It was common to use a 5'16' metal line about 2" long. cut a slot across it halfway through use the line. You use that as a spacer. There's basically 5/15 play at the end of the cable.
I honestly haven't seen that but I can see how that would work. Thanks!
@@madgingercustoms We used to "road test them on the lift before the test drive. That way there was no resistance to kill the transmission while adjusting the cable if needed. Shift points are usually, 15-18 mph, 25-30 mph, 45-48 mph with a light load on the gas.
I'm sure you know this , but there's a port on the side of the trans. to adjust the pressure properly . I had a friend rebuild mine and a shop r and r the trans. but they neglected to adjust it, after a short time there was some clutch material on the dipstick . The OD went out in about 36 thousand gentle miles , I'm not rough on my stuff because I'm the one fixing or paying . I've always been a Ford guy , but that '90 150 broke my dangling things since I brought it home .
Solid info. Thanks for watching!
like that shop truck
Thanks for watching!
I have Ford Purists hate on my HEI as well. Cracks me up. Take it easy fools, if it works it works.
Yep I run HEI in my Fords and Jeeps!
For your sound deadening you some jute pad or some air conditioning padding but they using houses and then run you some carpet over it or a mat.
Not a bad idea! Thanks!
1/2 qt of ATF fluid in the engine out will break up the junk.
I'll put 3 in just to be sure.
I wonder if a Jeep ZJ tv cable could be thrown on there. Those are easier to adjust. Or maybe a YJ Auto. I think that thing I just tightened it all the way up, put the pedal to the floor and the adjuster clicks to where it should be.
Or not 🤣 Should’ve waited till the end. Works perfectly.
I have the factory mustang one that works similarly. I just needed to build a bracket for that. Either or works I guess!! Thanks
You know if you put stickers on it, it goes faster!!
Yeah, I know. My tool box has about 900hp thanks to those!
This is 💯 true.
Would you be interested in doing a engine swap on a 2003 chevy extreme blazer I have a nice harley davidson 1200 I will give you for your help I am in recovery from cancer and can't do the things I used to be able to do let me know thanks
