I love that people like you and Abby, and others are keeping this historic music alive. I never realized how great these songs are until I found you guys here on youtube. :)
Dusty may God bless you and let you hang around warbling for awhile. I suspect, have no way of knowing for sure, but I believe that you are as close to the old and I mean old... version of most of your songs that I hear. Performed as they should be. Hope the National Archives gets some of your stuff, the folks nowadays are trashing so much of what should be preserved from our olden times. Really pees me off to see such!!
Hey there dusty always so lovely to wake to your singing makes for a great day . Hope your day is going great .. morning coffee had time to do this work day now xx
You can find an older album I did with Abby on iTunes under “Abby the Spoon Lady and the Tater Boys.” Hopefully well have a new one by the end of this year or early 2023. Working on a solo album as well!
Come on dude, you couldn't pick that one a little faster? LOL Slacker! You know that I'm kidding...sounded great. One day I may be able to do 2 seconds of that. Peace and take care.
Hahaha, I actually used to play it faster! But speed was pretty much the glue holding together my old arrangement and I'd fall apart if I slowed down. This arrangement I can play even and consistently! and that's the real important part!
Dusty, did you take down all your other videos I was trying to find trouble in mind. At the time I came across you I was just gettin into banjo. But now I too play and remember being very impressed with ur singin on that one!
I made several “unlisted,” sorry, but send me a message if you’d like access to anything in particular! Abby just uploaded a more recent performance of Trouble in Mind to her channel last week, just look up Abby the Spoon Lady
This is great! It's really hard to find this song on the internet, I guess bc of its age and all the different names it goes under. I'm curious why this song is called Train 45 (sometimes) and there is another bluegrass(?) song called Train 45 - are they the same song just played differently? I love Woody Guthrie's version especially. Thanks for putting this up.
I remember you! Sorry, and also thanks so much! Yeah, we ended up getting a bus to Sault Ste. Marie and crossed into the US there. We’re in Tennessee now, getting ready to head to the UK pretty soon!
Your so,
Blessed!
Please don't forget it!
It makes me happy to hear you,

Wow, you couldn’t give me a higher compliment. Much appreciated!
4 finger style! 🤯
Nope, just three! I wear four finger picks because I play guitar with four fingers. I do use four fingers on a passage in Soldier's Joy though!
Awesome way to start
Monday🙏
I can't lie, publishing on Mondays makes for a better start to the week for me too! Thanks for listening!
