Your pattern and tutorial are wonderful, and so is the perfectly beautiful little dress. I read your story, and it reminds me of some women who did kind and generous things for me when I was a little girl. They made a big difference in my life. Now, with your generous sharing of the patterns and instructions and with your donations to the library you are paying forward many times what that neighbor did for you when you were small. Thank you! What an inspiration you are!
Thank you! This was one of the best doll sewing videos I've seen on youtube. You are very professional. If you can, keep showing us how to make clothes for 18'' dolls. I have learned a lot from you.
What a great tutorial. I am 75 and learned so much!
This is so professionally done. It's as if you're making the dress for a child/woman. I especially loved the way the lining was done. Thanks so much for this tutorial. I'll soon be following it step-by-step. The dress is beautiful!!!!
I had the very same thoughts.
Thank you for the excellent tutorial on sewing AG doll clothes! Your video really helped me a lot!
Little tip : I use entomology pins for fine fabrics and dolls clothes, they're typically 0.38mm so they don't leave massive holes in the fabric, also they are extremely sharp so they don't snag the fabric.
Thank you all this tips make sewing much faster n beautiful
Thank you
I found the entomology pins on internet shopping, but how do I know what size to use for sewing? Thanks for your advise.
Thank you! I have made four this week for two little girls to share to dress their new dolls. I'm delighted with the pattern and instructions.
Great tutorial ... thanks for sharing pattern. There are way simpler methods out there but it's the lining detail that makes this dress so special. Well worth the extra time.
Great tutorial video. Thank you so much for the pattern. Since the stores are closed I will be cutting some of my husbands shirts and pillow cases to sew some dresses. I am so excited. It made my day,..
This tutorial is addictive! Oops, there goes another of my husband's shirts!!!! (Sung to the tune of "once there was a silly ole ant . . ."). Hope you don't take scissors to any Armani's!!!! 😂
Thank you to all the ladies and gents who are sharing these skills and FREE patterns you are a Blessing to us who are trying to learn. Happy subbing.
can you share the pattern please my lap top wont let me have access too download thank you
Hi, I can send you the patterns file what is your email?
HappyBankky CraftyMom hi I’m new to your channel in UA-cam, I am not good at sewing but want to learn and I can’t download your pattern help me please💐💐💐thank you in advance🥰 and my email is 1428believe@gmail.com in case
Best tutorial on UA-cam Tube by far. The lining is soooooo worth it for a professional looking finish ! I made one little change. I cut bodice lining slightly longer (1/4”?), pressed it under. I attached only the main fabric of bodice to the skirt (both parts of skirt) . Then I stitched to bodice lining to that , which got rid of the raw edge of the skirt. LOVE, LOVE LOVE this dress and my granddaughter was thrilled to get it. Thanks so much for!
I really appreciate this video. I have watched n backed it up watched again. Making doll clothes for my granddaughter. Thank you from Maine USA
От тільки що закінчила шити цей витвір мистецтва. Дякую за викрійки та відео з поясненням, ви просто чудові!
Excellent sewing demonstration. The pressing pillow was a nice touch. Thank you for the pattern and video.
Love, Love, Love THIS! What a pretty rainbow dress. Thanks for sharing your step-by-step approach.🌸😀
I love your doll videos! What a cute dress style! I hope you make more sewing tutorials! They're fun to watch!
You've helped me so much! What an adorable dress! Thank you for taking the time to film and making a pattern.
My pleasure😊 I’m so glad I could help you.

Hi i have a question how much fabric of each would i need to make this super cute dress please help
I just made this for my granddaughter - she thought she was over her AG and OG dolls, and gave away all but one, the first one I gave her. She had a real rats nest for hair, and I fixed it so it looks good as new, but she only had one outfit. She's going to love this. Thanks for an easy pattern and great instructions!
wie viele Puppen hatte sie denn?
Going to make this for my grand daughter, I’m a quilt maker and I’ve never sewn clothes😳. I love this colourful fabric you are using, thanks for sharing.
Loved the tutorial! And thank you so much for the pattern.
Thank You for the pattern and the tutorial for the doll dress my grand daughters will love them and have fun for hours playing with their dolls and dressing them. Thank you again! Learned some sewing tips watching you video.
Can I just say how jealous I am of your ginormous cutting mat. So cool!
Also love the dress. Just bought a doll for my niece and can't wait to make clothes and teach her how to sew.
Ah so that's how you put it all together. Love the video it is so much clearer now. Thank you.
Thank you for providing a wonderfully easy tutorial to follow on making this adorable doll dress.
What a fabulous pattern! Everything is gorgeous and very well made, yet the techniques are simple enough to teach a child! I especially ADORE the sleeve ruffles with no hemming, and they lay flat without that finicky easing you have to do with normal sleeves, and they even fit easily inside the lining for a clean, professional finish! Absolute genius!
Thank you, I love this doll dress, I’m making dresses for my granddaughters 18 inch doll. Thank you for the pattern and tutorial.
Beautiful dress. Beautiful sewing. You just have such a habit of flattening down the gatherings on the dresses with an iron that made the dress look so pretty puffed-out.
Hi, thanks 😊 but I don’t think I ruined the ruffles at all I just love the way it flat out in my opinion it’s look beautiful And I get it if you don’t have the same Idea. Anyway I saw your comment on another video about I iron the raffles again I just want to let you know I get your message 😂 ps. I don’t want you to be upset but For All my sewing video tutorials I did iron the raffles and gathering and I’m definitely will do it again Not the habit just the way I choose to do it 😊
Thank you for this wonderful video and so many nice projects on your blog. I'm kind of surprised you ended up putting velcro on the dress at the end, but I guess, if this is for a child, that may be necessary. You are such a talented designer.
I just finished my ruffle flutter sleeve dress, I love the way you connected the bodice and skirt. It also makes the dress puff out. It is so cute I do not know if I want to give it to my granddaughter. LOL. Thanks
I bought me the same doll so I could play with my granddaughter Britta. Making a blue with white polka dots now. These are baby dolls not AG. She is only five. I make embroidery bibs diapers for every outfit. She will be here for summer. I hope to get her out of the lake from swimming long enough to learn to sew n crochet. Lol
Wow! Thank you for such great tutorial. I am a beginner and after watching I learned that I was sewing the wrong way. Now I have seen some techniques that will help me sew cleaner!! Thank you a gazillion times!!!
You’re welcome 😊 I’m glad I can help!
Thank you so much for the pattern still be available in 2024, amazing dress!
Hi I just made this little flutter sleeve dress today for my 18" doll! It turned out so cute - I used a pink floral bodice and a solid matching pink for the sleeves, lining and skirt - I fused some pretty lace and ribbon down the front of the bodice and I also hand sewed the lining edge (folded over) to the bodice so there are no raw seams - it is so cute! I wish I could send a picture! My doll LOVES it! Next Project: The little Yoke Dress for the 18" doll. Thank you SOOOO much for these patterns - they are fun, easy and turn out great! I made the pants with the ruffle this summer - so cute!!

Easter Sunday beautiful......thank you......
I loved the video. I found some things I was doing wrong. You made it easier. thanks so much.
Thank you for a wonderful step by step tutorial. So inspiring ❤😊
saw the tutorial and I love it. printed out the free pattern and I'm going to do it. Thank you.
YES, THANKS SO MUCH!
How do you get the free pattern?
oh my! love this tutorial! idk if it's just me, but it just seems so much easier to comprehend how to construct a garment when it's being done on a smaller scale! THANK YOU!
You’re welcome 😊
Agreed, actually when I was taking designing classes we did everything on a "doll size" scale to learn the concepts quicker. It's easier than fumbling with large amounts of fabric when learning. But it's addicting to sew small things!
Yes!!!
Since a couple of ladies asked about the little ironing board, it's a standard sleeve board. I bought mine from Walmart but you can order them from anywhere. Comes in real handy. As a tip offering, I saw a woman in one of my online classes or UA-cam videos who used a simple dowel like the one used for towels as a tool over which to press seams. That too makes a difference as there is no impression left. 😁
Been trying to figure out how to make doll clothes and it’s been a struggle from the patterns I read since I have an easier time doing stuff when I see it. Thank you for showing me how to do this!!
wow! wow! your fabric chose was perfect. i’m looking thru
scraps now. thank you for sharing.
Beautiful dress thank you, I love how you did the lining
I’m still making these doll dress different version but wonderful pattern. Thank you June 2023 from Maine
That is so cute!!!!! Found it much easier to gather skirt and lining together!
This tutorial is wonderful. I love it. I have some 18" dolls I can make some dresses for. The dresses are very cute.Thank You

Thank you! The dress turned out to be really pretty and it fit really well on my AG doll. 😊
You’re welcome 😉
How can you do a 1/4 seam allowance on your machine? ( I have the same exact sewing machine as yours) And how do you gather the dress??? It took me a really long time to do it, so I think I did it wrong...😁
Thank you so much! This video was very helpful and I just finished my first sewing project! I am thrilled and can't wait to make more.
This is beautiful and so well made! Thank you for sharing your talent!
Mille bravo a vous pour la clarte et surtout la rapidité d execution ainsi que pour le soin et la finition de cette jolie robe. J aimerais tellement apprendre
Just brilliant. Thank you. Beautifully presented.
Beautiful and easy. Thanks to your video. Can’t wait to try it. Thank You❤

This is soooooo cute!!!! Thank you for the pattern, I can't wait to make a few!
Perfect dress, very versatile pattern. Love it!
finally someone who makes doll clothes like i do, and finished right
Cutest. Dress. Ever!
This is a very nice tutorial and the dresses turned out beautiful. You do a very nice job with your sewing. Thank you for the free patterns and tutorial
Thank you for this clear video and for the pattern pdf download on your website. I have now made this pretty dress for my grand daughter's Our Generation doll Phoebe. As Phoebe has a button on her back for her 'growing hair' feature, I added an extra 1cm to the width of the back and front bodice pattern. (I also lengthened the skirt 1cm). This now fits Phoebe perfectly.
Wow! I’m glad I stumbled on your channel... my granddaughter’s 18" doll has lost its clothes - now I can make some. Thank you for this.

Great talent you have in sewing!!❤️
AWESOME!!! Beautifully done.now its easy for me to stitch my grand daughters dress.Thank you so much for the tutorial.Love it.
You’re very welcome 😊
Im a new subscriber after watching this tutorial. Ive made quite a few of the AG dresses for bazaar sales but this method is primo. A beautiful way to do the lining that doesn't have nasty seams inside. I've been overcasting the edges but the lining youre doing is so much classier. It's more like a full sized garmet which I really like. Since that's where I started sewing was making my shirts I like the detail.
Thank you for your tutorial and the free pattern,
Wow This is a lovely dress thank you for showing it in great detail. I'm going to have to make some of these
Thank you for the tutorial! I tried it and before I put it all together the top was too tight for my doll. So I made a new top for the bottom. Simply beautiful ! Thanks again. You are a genius. And a great seamstress too.
You’re so sweet! Thank you so much for comment it’s mean a lot to me 😊 and also I’m so sorry that the top is not fit very well for your dolls, I wonder what type of doll is it?
Amazing video i love it. I myself so too
Thank You so much for this video and the pattern! It is so clear and easy to understand! I will definitely try to do it!
Love this design and the pattern is gorgeous! I’m just a beginner in sewing 🧵 as my grandmother and mother know how but never forced us. They are more quilting while I just want doll clothes as American Girl can get expensive.
Wow dresses are beautiful
Very nice and straightforward 🎀
Exquisite!!
Very helpful tutorial!!!
THANK YOU!!! ❤️❤️❤️🧵🪡
thank you so much for your video. sure helped me alot I never saw the proper way to attract the top and skirt with no seams showing that's way I was not happy with making doll clothes and so easy. thank you thank you

Magnifique robes. Merci pour ce patron et ce tuto
Thank you. I learned a better way to sew the bodice and skirt together for a better finished look.
Wonderful!!! Thank you so much! Can't wait to try this out!
Thanks! My mom might get me an American Girl doll for Christmas so that would be so helpful to make dolls clothes!
I am hoping to get an AG doll too as well as a sewing machine so I can make clothes for her and for my other dolls 😊 I have Disney Animator dolls and I would like to make outfits for them and for my AG doll if I can get one 💖 I don't live in the USA, I live in Europe so I will have to look around to see if I can get an American Girl doll from somewhere lol
I hope that you can get one and have fun making outfits for them! 🥰 I have been watching lots of dress making tutorials haha 😄
@Lucy Playz Oh lol I got all three of mine off of eBay. The first one I got towards the end of November was in excellent condition, then I got another that was in need of a bit of TLC and finally, I got a Pleasant Company Samantha Parkington doll last week.
I expected them all to be in need of TLC but only one of them needs their wig to be replaced because it was really messed up and she had a few marks on the vinyl etc
@Lucy Playz I have Truly Me/Just Like You 28, 23 and Samantha Parkington so far. I'd really like to get one of the Asian AG dolls. I think she's called Jess but I'm not too sure.
I love restoring dolls so I'm glad that I got used ones because I've saved a fair amount of money but I've also given the dolls a second life lol
How many do you have? Do you have any Wellie Wisher dolls? I know they're for younger kids but my niece likes AG dolls and she might like Wellie Wishers because they aren't as fragile for little kids to play with as the bigger dolls are 😅
@Lucy Playz Oh yeah haha I'm in the UK too! I managed to get all but one of my dolls from a seller on eBay in the UK - the most expensive doll came from someone in France and that was my Samantha doll haha
If you have a look on eBay again, you may get really lucky. I got my second AG doll for £55 plus postage but she needed a bit of TLC because her hair was cut and the seller didn't mention that in the listing 😕 My first doll was a little over £80 and Samantha was roughly £60 plus postage but it was in Euros so it was about £60-£70 for her 😊
I have a fairly low budget now too 😅 I must save up for any other dolls that I get but I got the ones that I have because its nearly Christmas so they were all a bit of a one off with my Christmas money and my parents said they were gifts for me haha
I hope you can get some more soon! Look on eBay for Our Generation doll clothes and also for OG doll furniture and things like that too because they are drastically cheaper than AG doll accessories and outfits. I've seen lots of listings for outfits for AG dolls on eBay and just the outfits alone can cost £50 which is very expensive for me lol 😅
I would like to get some of Samantha's retired furniture and I'm currently trying to get her school desk but I think if I get one of those, I won't get any more dolls or anything for a while until I've saved up properly as you're right that they can be expensive. They're expensive even when they're in used condition but they cost something like £170 brand new in box haha
Someone was selling a Willa Wellie Wishers doll on eBay and she sold with one bid at about £15.99 plus postage... they're at least £90 brand new in box and the doll looked perfect 😅 In America, people seem to get AG dolls at thrift stores for really good deals like $20 and they only need a wipe down and perhaps their limbs need tightening but I've seen lots of great deals and I'd love to get lucky and get some like the great deals that the Americans get. Having said that, they're probably cheap because they're in America so they're not hard to find where they are
@Lucy Playz Oh yeah haha
She does with 3 pins what it take me 18 pins to do! LOL Now if I could just get the hemmer to work that nicely. Very cute dress.
Great job!!
Just got to watch it again
Un grand Merci pour votre patron et vidéo; très réussi . Un vrai régal pour moi qui ne suis pas très avertie en couture. Cela a été un régal.
you are awesome, plus I love the iron board - and the clothes rack - lol
That is so beautifully made! Thank you!
really really thx u for your pattern, for your video...i love it love itttttt...say hi from your fans in indonesia
You're so adorable!! Great thinking with the tiny ironing board. Genius!!! Make a video of how or what you used to make that ! 👌 I love all the tiny things and details in this video
Hey! It's a sleeve board. I bought mine from Walmart but you can order them from anywhere. Comes in real handy. As a tip offering, I saw a woman in one of my online classes or UA-cam videos who used a simple dowel like the one used for towels as a tool over which to press seams. That too makes a difference as there is no impression left. 😁
Excellent tutorial!!!
Omg 😲 your amazing 😉 I really love everything you make 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 can you please teach me how to make a iron pillow like yours 🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️please 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
