About half an hour before they came on to headline the rain started like properly battering down on us and everyone started chanting "Paul Gray, stop the rain!".
It’s sad that so many “maggots” will have no idea what song this is and claim that album was their worst. Yet it’s their heaviest of all. When I say heavy I don’t mean loud and angry like Iowa I mean like GREIF
Depends what kind of sport, football (real football, not American hand-egg) supporters are excellent at respect paid for players or fans that have passed away. It's surreal, 2 rival teams, a minutes silence and you can hear a pin drop. With a very small exception of course, same as the guy that shouted in the video at the start of the 2 minute silence in this video.
You should see the tattoo he got of paul on his leg, cant remember what reality show it was on when he got it. He had an emotional breakdown near the end of it that got me going.
Normally when things like this take place, there are those few douches that just make noise during the entire thing, and people shouting to them “shut up”. But this, however, is everyone respecting a fallen musician. And almost 10 years later, it still is worth showing. Rest In Piece, Paul. Rock on in heaven.
If you're here in 2020. Keep in mind that Paul is never really gone. He will always be in the hearts of every maggot. With or without Slipknot. We love you, Paul Rest in Peace ❤️
I was here... and honest to god, I don't think I will ever experience anything nearly as humbling as this. Absolutely incredible, something i'll never forget.
I remember this well as I was stood by the ice-cream truck to the right. Metal heads are the most human people, I love Slipknot but some of mates aren't big fans yet they all paid their respects to Paul. We're all brothers in this world.
I respect paul gray... he was the most sick bass player in all of the albums before he died. I would personally think his basslines were the greatest in the Iowa era. LONG LIVE PAUL GRAY
Maaan, I was just around the side of second stage when the 2 mins silence happened (didn't realize it was actually led from there though). The phrase "it was painfully quiet" gets thrown around a bit but this really was, and the respect, was so real and strong that I couldn't help but cry during it. You've left a hell of a legacy for us Number 2. Respect brother \m/.
i feel bad mainly for corey .. his life was full of hard moments and painful things , the music saved him , but damn he lost people , he was homeless , he suffered the most
Man, I remember this like it was yesterday. Seeing the band like that still breaks me. My wife had been streaming their set online at home and after they finished she rang me to say how good they were and asked if I was ok. I just burst into tears.
This is one of the biggest reasons i LOVE metal genres. The bond between fans and band is so powerful in these genres only. And this video is honestly heartbreaking..
MrOnionCock lol after what Cucking Dead put I was gonna just ignore it but hopefully you grew up a little from 4 years and became less of a disrespectful ‘fucking loser.’ I mean your comment kinda sucked but I wont let it get to me, even though I respected Paul and was a fan of that guy for years. But yeah have a good day, if you’re capable of that.
I remember watching the live stream of the Slipknot show and when they put Paul's suit, bass and mask at the front of the stage at the end of the show, I just had to let a few tears flow. Even now, all these years later, it's still an emotional watching this. R.I.P. Paul Grey Rock in Heaven my friend.

I’ve been to many concerts of all types of music and I will say the metal ones have the nicest people. Just saw Slipknot a couple weeks ago and the audience was like one big family.
As soon as I saw his suit and bass I burst out crying :( I love how respectful everyone was here! so incredible!! I grew up loving slipknot from the age of 11 and im 31 now, I feel so happy to share the same birthday as paul :) This band is really special to me and was blown away when I first saw them on the kerrang channel haha, I love them more and more the older I get :D I also got excited when I found out I have the same name as corey's daughter (angeline) as it's not a common name, this band is so special to me and has got me through a lot of hard times in my life, Thank you guys x
I come back to this video from time to time just because it's so awesome. The level of respect is through the roof here, I love it. Something about no one talking, and seeing how a lot of people in the audience looked genuinely really sad, and then seeing the guys back stage crying makes this such a beautiful video. I've never seen so much respect at a metal show, this is fucking awesome. Rest in peace Paul Gray
Wow!! Usually moments of silence are disregarded quickly by the first person to say, "We love you, man.!" This was an absolutely beautiful show of respect. Wow!

Everyone puts their differences/opinions aside in times like this and shows that individual the respect that they have earned and deserved throughout their years in the music industry. Rest In Peace Paul, and thank you for being a part of Slipknot; a band who has had a major influence on me since 5th grade. You will always be missed and thought of with the highest amount of respect sir.
I can only imagine how the band felt, seeing the jumpsuit, mask, and bass on the stage, without Paul being there.... Made me instantly cry, I can only imagine the pain they felt....
In fact, I really want to cry from this video. 10 years have passed since the death of Paul, I started listening to Slipknot a few years before I went to school, I could not read or write, did not understand a single word, but their music made me study, I taught for 5 years English, not only to enjoy their music, but also to understand everything they sing about. Now I’m almost 19 years old and I really regret that I couldn’t and most likely I won’t be able to get to those concerts, I won’t be able to see every member of the group ..... Eternal memory to you Paul Dedrick Gray, with love from Russia!
Shawn is the one taking this to heart the most. I haven't seen much from Paul, but I can tell how great of a person he was to everyone in slipknot. Paul, regardless of your beliefs, I'm sure you'll have a special place in heaven.
