I love pumpkin pie. I am from 🇨🇦. I just had some we had our Thanksgiving on Oct 12th. You need to use nutmeg , some people don't add it and in my opinion if you don't have it in the pie it effects the taste . Make sure you get pumpkin puree not pumpkin pie filling if you make a homemade pumpkin pie.
@@creativegrandmaskitchen256 I never used a pie shield before but just recently I have started to use them it would work well for a pumpkin pie. For my apple pies I like the crust a little darken so I don't use the shield, my choice. .
O that's different sounds so good I love sweetened condensed milk, I make a pecan cake with that poured on top I'll try this for Thanksgiving . Thanks for the tip.

It's nice. The color is beautiful. I usually bake the pumpkin or boiled it in water before mashing it to make the pie. If using water to boil and cook it, after it done, I let it cool down and put it in a stainer to let the water come out since it retains liquids, then mash it. To plate it, I used whipped cream from the can and put some cinnamon on top. Thank you for sharing your recipe. I will definitely make it this year. I grind the nutmeg fresh and I buy the pre made frozen crusts ( Mrs. Smith brand).

I mix my spices up with the eggs after I've beaten the eggs a bit. It makes them bind to the eggs and then when I add the other ingredients they don't clump up.

My mom would use a small knife to cleanly remove the edges of the crust after fluting. It's quick, clean, and you don't risk bumping your flute. Lol I would so bump my flute if I used your method. I'm a cluts 😉
My secret recipe for the best Pumpkin Pie 🥧😋 is to use Duck Eggs instead of chicken 🐔 eggs 🥚🥚 don't know where you can find Duck Eggs but try a place that sells Ducks! 🦆
I actually like this recipe, but I make my own whipped cream and I used brown coconut sugar and replaces the brown sugar and all it has is granulated coconut blossom nectar, which is a lot better if people are diabetic, I’m not diabetic, but just in case😊

is there a reason why you don't just take the whole lid to the cans of milk off with the can opener? You are using the whole cans anyways, right? Is it because it pours neatly or something?
I turn the extra crust under then crump it. Also, I put some cloves in my pumpkin pie filling. This is your way of making this pie but it is NOT be Best way.

For a richer pie try cutting back on milk abt 1/2 can substitute that amt for the same amt sweetened condensed milk and cut back on sugar 1/2 cup

This recipe works great if you need to substitute spenda for sugar to make a low sugar pie. I usually a little vanilla in my low sugar pie.

I put a couple of big spoonfuls of dark brown sugar in the mix and deepens the sweet! 🥰

Make sure it’s the small sugar pumpkin. They have more flavor. The big ones taste blah if you ask me.

It is NOT a good pie if you gety your filling from a can. Start from the Pumpkin itself to make the freshest filling.
